suspended between time square. all running close to schedule going to exit 15 15a. l.i.e. going east, francis lewis boulevard. that accident has been cleared away. we're looking at the george washington bridge, two lanes are closed heading into the lower level. with your our street cleaning rules in effect. lori, over to you. a young boy is recovering after being shot by a stray bullet in new jersey in paterson while the 7-year-old was inside of his home the bullet came from a shoot out on the street. eyewitness news reporter is live now with details for us, darla. that 7-year-old boy spent the night here at saint joseph's regional medical center, here in part because he called 911 on his own after he was shot.

dispute outside of a liqueur start last night and police say when the gunfire broke out the 7-year-old boy actually looked outside of his window in the first floor to find out what was going on that's when they say the child was struck in the shoulder. this literally happened on the opposite corner from where 12- year-old was shot and killed back in 2014. my nephew got shot in his shoulder. >> is he okay? >> yeah he is fine. about that time i heard like four or five shooting so i came back my mom was right here, she came then she brought me inside then told me what happened. they thought it was me. >> now, police at this point don't have a word on any suspects or motives in terms of the 7-year-old boy is expected to be released from the hospital later today. reporting live in paterson. channel 7 eyewitness news. thank you, it is 4:34. also in new jersey the hunt for

a 7-year-old girl continues there was a memorial in the spot where she died on her way to school. she was holding her mother's hand when an suv hit them. it did stop a passenger got out then both sped off. >> he can run but he cannot hide. we have the resources the personnel, the technology, we'll find him. investigators are looking for a black model new jersey tahoe. they have not been able to figure out the plate number out. the mother did survive the crash. we are seeing video of a gunman open fear. cops are hoping somebody recognizes the shooter the video shows a man firing off inside the rico chimney restaurant happened last week in wood haven. police say the man used a woman

leaving the scene of a fatal accident in a new jersey turnpike in elizabeth. vincent harrison was struck by a passing car when he got out of his own car after a fender- bender. eyewitness news spoke with harrison's heartbroken cousin. >> generally a nice guy, you don't have to ask him for anything because he has already given it to you. justice should be swift, it should be swift from what i can see there is no reason this should have happened. investigators say they believe harrison had his weapon drawn right before he was hit. but it is not clear why. time is 4:48 members of an ohio community come together to pray for peace after school shooting leaves four students injured and a 14-year-old in custody. there is a vigil in madison township after yesterday's gunfire, the teen suspect ran from the building after the shooting but tracked down by police dogs one person described the mayhem.

police say that shooting happened around 6:30 on rosa parks boulevard just a liqueur store this happened just across the street from where genesis rancone was shot and killed back in 2014. last night's shooting police say instead of running for cover the boy went for his window on the first floor to see what's going on when gunfire broke out, that's when they say he was struck in the shoulder. >> you just run like, crazy. we all got down, once they run like that. >> it is not good for the neighborhood, not good at all. it has to stop. >> now, the 7-year-old in this incident has a flesh wound according to police, he is listed in stable condition here at saint joseph's regional medical center, in terms of the suspects the police have not listed who they are looking for or the number of any suspects

reporting live in paterson, channel 7 eyewitness news. darla, thank you. it is 5:04. a big shut down is coming in paterson hundreds of city employees were told to stay home as a budget show down continues. 72% of city workers will be off the job. but the shut downinvolves nonessential employees only. police officers firefighters and municipal court employees will work through the shut down, the city hopes to save $225,000 with the shut down, and a meeting has been scheduled for tonight to discuss the proposed budget. new details this morning in the death of a pedestrian who was hit by a delivery cab in manhattan the cabdriver has been chargedded. 77-year-old carol was trapped under the vehicle at 36 and matt sin yesterday morning, a group of people pushed the car off of her as chelator died at the hospital.
