that's damaged on the roof. it looks almost as if that overturned vehicle got up into the air and landed on the roof of that suv, and then there's a third car off here on the ramp from the cross island parkway. so there's an awful lot of activity out here. this accident is really just as you come off the whitestone bridge onto the whitestone expressway. this vehicle got tangled up in the accident and is now affecting the ramp from the cross island to the whitestone expressway as well. so we've got delays in all directions. the big delay now across the whitestone from the bronx into queens, it's a full span delay, almost all the way back to the bruckner interchange. look for delays also northbound on the cross island merging into the whitestone bridge. that also due to the same accident. heather. >>reporter: thank you very much for that, john. we are also taking a look at what's happening here on the bruckner. as you go north right near country club road this, accident has been with us for a while, so we do have all lanes subject to closure as a result of that. harlem river drive, so north of the george washington bridge up

morning, we start to see these clouds kind of breaking up and clearing up, and we're going to be looking at some sunshine. humidities are dry, but look at that wind, northeast at 10, gusting to 22, pressure rising with this arctic blend of cold air coming over us out of canada. hard freeze this morning, temperatures have tumbled. we're looking at 40 today barely for about 20 secs. brisk wind out of the north and northwest today. we'll get warm this week, but we're going to have some rain and thunderstorms to come with that as we get going. so you see the temperatures off to the north here. they are cold. we're looking at 20s here. we're looking at a wind out of the north that makes it feel like the teens this morning. look at that wind, 15, 20, at times 22 miles per hour right out of the north and the northwest which is our coldest win. so windy except for the bronx showing 20s, but everybody has got teens this morning. 10 around white plains, a cold one in spots. 17 down the jersey shore. so everybody is in the teens. freeze warning until new 10:00. so some of those clouds pushing south and east now.
we'll have plenty of sunshine during the day today. baseball weather. not! 37 degrees first pitch temperature. take your hand warmers, you know, feet warmers, everything. you'll see those hot water bottles in the dugout. we're looking at wind chills in the 20s. fortunately, you know, maybe our baseball players are used to the colder weather and not so much the astros who play down in houston. but we're looking at a temperature of 37 at 1:00. but the wind chill, you know, is going to be in the 20s. so it will be quite cold here for today. notice these wind chills by the time we get to the afternoon, right around 28. and then after the game 33. so, you know, it's not going to warm up a whole lot. you just gotta dress warmly sitting there in the stadium. it's going to be cold. the wind will be coming right into the stands from the outfield. 41 after school, kiddos. if you can wear some gloves in your sport, do so, you soccer players, field hockey players, all that, baseball players

one of those vehicles went across the grass andened up on the ramp from the cross island -- and ended up on the ramp from the cross island parkway getting into the whitestone expressway. so you can just see those delays coming across the whitestone bridge, and it is extremely messy this morning as you take the whitestone bridge, you may want to hop on over to the throgs neck bridge which i'm sure is going to start to pick up volume. but this delay, that is just insane. we also have some issues with our subways and it looks like that subway problem is the "a" trains and that's causing delays getting into broad channel. we have our street cleaning rules in effect. michelle, over to you >> thank you so much, heather. 6:50. a million dollar heist. the victim is from manhattan's diamond district. police hope this surveillance video helps to track down the suspects. and a whiled scene on the highway with a child -- and a wild scene on the highway with fios is not cable. we're wired differently. in the last 10 years our competitors have received a few awards. but we've received a few more, including jd power who ranked us
