from the looks of it you would think nothing happened here, but when you look closer, so much blood on the ground is a clear indication something bad happened here. a livery cab driver we believe either slashed or stabbed, but definitely it was a major incident. look at the car. this is the black lincoln continental the driver was driving. around 1:15 the driver may have been the victim of a robbery, and in the course of the robbery, was either slashed or stabbed. there was a tremendous amount of blood on the outside of the car, and there is still a lot of blood here on the ground. the victim, who has not been identified, was rushed to the medical center, where they are listed in serious but stable condition. they are expected to survive what happened. but again a lot of blood out here this morning. as for the suspect, police are still looking for the person responsible. we are live in yonkers this morning, dray clark channel 7 eyewitness news. thank you dray. 4:33 now.
person is dead, three people hurt after a driver slammed into a group of people in that's saw county. we have new video of the scene on linden avenue. the driver of an suv hit them, killing a woman. one was on a bicycle at the time, two women ask a man were hurt. no charges so far. police are looking for new clues as they try to track down a sexual predator who attacked a jogger in prosecution suspect park. diana rocco is live in brooklyn with new video for us. good morning diana. >> reporter: good morning lori. we have new video of the morning. police say that victim here, a 23-year-old jogger was jogging through this park around this time yesterday when the suspect knife. like. police just released the sketch. he is also caught on
the nearby buildings, first walking and then later jogging down prospect park parkway west in the prospect park section of brooklyn around this time yesterday. the attack happened just after 5:00 yesterday morning. the woman was jogging when the man came up behind her with the knife, he wrestled her to the ground, assaulting her, but she fought the suspect off. police were here for the better part of the afternoon yesterday, investigating the attack. this is a very busy park and they want people living in this area to feel safe, but many don't until this predator is caught. >> i hate to have that happen in this park, it is so well used. it truly concerns me, that it could happen. >> reporter: that woman was taken to the hospital. she did suffer a stab wound to her hand.

people who tried to vote but were wrongly told they were no longer registered. the new york city controller is conducting an audit of the voting board. a civil lawsuit, two signs illuminated the board of elections building in downtown brooklyn last night. one read where are our votes? the second one read the boe, we want answers now. 100 protested outside the board of elections, calling for answers and reforms. >> the board of elections has been on record saying we are sorry we made a mistake. we are busy. that is their excuse 126,000 voters in brooklyn alone were unable to vote. >> we have had enough of new york state and other places not taking democracy seriously. >> an attorney representing 15 voters filed a civil lawsuit yesterday against the board of elections.
says mayor de blasio's long campaign to ban horse-drawn carriages is now under investigation. the u.s. attorney and manhattan da are questioning fundraising by a politically connected group that wants the ban. the group funneled money into the campaign for 1 new york. much of that was to discredit christine quinn when she was running again mayor de blasio. may or bill de blasio got feedback, the mayor took questions about several local concerns and is promising better treatment options for the addiction epidemic of heroin and other opiate and his will make sure the borough gets its own indoor swimming pool.

the search continues this morning for 100 people still missing after the earthquake on the pacific coast in ecuador. last night ecuador's present addressed the nation, saying the recovery would be a long and costly process. more than 550 people died in that earthquake, 4600 are hurt. quake survivors are going to desperate lengths just to stay alive. hundreds searched through trash unloaded by dump trucks yesterday hoping to find clothes, food or even money. work continues in nepal to rebuild nearly one year after the powerful earthquake.

rain in brooklyn. the predator who attacked a jogger in prospect park is on the run this morning. eyewitness news reporter diana rocco is live in prospect park for the video police want you to see. >> reporter: police are searching for the predator this morning. the 23-year-old victim was jogging through this park around this time yesterday when the man came up behind her with a knife. she was able to fight him off, but this is a sketch of the person the police are looking for this morning. they just released it. he was also caught on surveillance video from one of the nearby buildings. first he is walking then jogging down prospect park west by garfield place around the time of the attack. just after 5:00 yesterday morning, police say the woman was jogging in the park when the man came up behind her with a knife. he wrestled her to the ground, trying to assault her and she was able to fight him off. that is when the man fled.
part of the afternoon yesterday investigating this attack of the this is a very busy bark and they want people living in the area to feel -- very busy park, and they want people to feel safe. i hate to think it happened in this park, it is so well used. it truly concerns me that it could happen. >> reporter: again this woman was able to fight the man off, but she did suffer a laceration to her finger. she was given six stitches at the hospital. police are asking anyone with information to call crime stoppers. diana rocco, channel 7 eyewitness news. and developing this morning, one person is dead and three more hurt after a driver slammed into a group of people in nassau county. this is new video from the scene on london avenue. the victims may have been arguing in the street last night when the driver of an suv hit them, killing a woman.
was on a bicycle at the time. two women and a man were hurt. no charges have been filed. we have just learned new details about the cab driver who was stabbed overnight in west chester county. right now his attacker is still on the run. dray clark is live on the scene. dray? >> reporter: we have just learned that the taxi driver is a man in his 60s and he was stabbed in his torso area around 1:00 this morning. here is a look at the vehicle he was driving, a black lincoln continental. he picked up a fare in one location and when they got to cedar place here, we were told the victim was stabbed and robbed here. again stabbed in the torso and then rushed to and kobe by medical center -- jacoby medical center where he is listed in serious condition. police did recover a knife at the scene but they are still looking for the suspect in the
