to a preliminary hearing. in march of 20-13 investigators say he shot and killed 22-year-old kristopher klubert. greening ended up serving six months in prison for manslaughter. according to testimony in court, the two were drinking beer and loading and unloading guns when one went off, killing klubert. greening said the death was an accident. prosecutors argued it was deliberate over a gambling debt. still developing this morning, the search for a shooting suspect in virginia beach. we first brought this to you as breaking news yesterday on fox 43. officers are still searching for 20- year-old devante williams. they say he shot his mother yesterday on kitimal drive. they are on the look-out for a 20-14 red toyota camry he may be driving. it has a virginia license plate that reads "prosper". 10 on your side also spoke with his family. they say williams mother is doing better, and his father does not know why the shooting happened.

new this morning - a mountain rescue caught on camera. take a look at this incredible video showing a recovery team saving a man stuck on the side of a cliff at mud mountain dam. that's in washington state just east of tacoma. you can see rescuers lowering one of the responders down the cliff. then he tells the stuck man not to move as he hooks cables onto him. then the two are hoisted back to safety. authorities say the 41-year-old homeless man was stuck for days. he jumped a fence and tried to set up camp there, but then realized he couldn't get out. visitors in the area say they started hearing screams from the man about five days ago. paramedics took the man to the hospital where they say he's doing fine this morning. now to new information about the zika virus emergency in florida. we first told you yesterday on fox 43, govenor rick scott issued

emergency for four counties. now he's adding a 5th county. governor scott spoke at a news conference in tampa yesterday. he says there are 12 cases of the zika virus in florida so far, all from people who became infected after traveling to other countries. florida's warm climate has year- round mosquitos, something that's very concerning considering zika is a mosquito-borne illness. :33 - :48 governor rick scott, (r) florida "the way i think about it, we have to ensure, just like a hurricane, we have to ensure that florida is safe. just like with a hurricane, what we always say to ourselves is we're going to prepare for the worst and hope for the best." to prepare, governor scott asked the c-d-c for one thousand zika testing kits. he's also asking people to take extra precautions by wearing insect repellents, draining standing water, and covering doors and windows with screens. it's national wear red day! the american heart association

now to new information about a homicide investigation we've been following out of seattle. police are saying why three teens allegedly killed two people at a homeless camp. investigators believe the 17, 16, and 13- year-old suspects confronted a low- level drug dealer about a debt he owed to their mother. then they say the teens shot the drug dealer and killed two other people. investigators say they are still trying to figure out how much the mother knew about the plan. today a man suspected of two crimes on the same road in virginia beach is expected in court. the suspect old 10 on your side, he's innocent! police arrested 63-year-old raymond ellis this week. they say he pulled a knife on two people on two different occasions on rosemont road in the most recent case, police say ellis asked a man at a wawa gas station for a ride, and then robbed and sexually assaulted him. when 10 on your side spoke to him from jail,

breaking news. about 87 workers are trapped in gold mine in south africa. this is all happening in a province east of johannesburg. a company spokesman says 52 people were trapped when an office building collapsed above ground, and that trapped an additional 35 miners below ground. so far, there are no reports of injuries. new this morning, two police officers in new york city are recovering after someone shot them. it happened last night while they were out on patrol. investigators say an armed man confronted the male and female officers. the suspect thenn took off, and according to authorties, he later killed himself. police said one officer was hit in the face and the other in the abdomen. new details emerge from court about a missing teen's death. ahead procesutors say how the virginia tech students allegedly killed her. a local woman remembers her grandson killed in a

she "wanted to be a part of something secret and special." they say she was involved in the plans to kill lovell, along with 18-year-old david eisenhaur, right from the beginning. prosecutors say the pair planned to take nicole, thinking she was going out on a date, and cut her throat. the judge denied bond for keepers. she faces accessory charges and helping to hide nicole's body. eisenhaur is charged with murder. meanwhile in blacksburg, nicole lovell's family said their last goodbyes. hundreds of people gathered at a church for her funeral yesterday. at least a dozen police cars escorted her body from the funeral home to her final resting spot. loved ones gathered last night to remember the young boy killed in a car crash this week in norfolk. they held a vigil for 9-year-old lucas ballard school in moyock, north carolina. family, friends and teachers prayed, sang songs, lit candles and released balloons in his memory. his grandmother tells 10 on your side that lucas'
