weekend. time to rebuild. two days after a deadly tornado ravaged waverly, we'll show you how volunteers are helping people get together. parking problems. too many cars and not enough are pitting neighbors against workers and tourists in virginia beach. trying to make everyone happy. and police raced to capture an escaped unicorn! wait until you hear the story behind this caper! it's a story you have to see to believe...and yes, i did say unicorn.

you about. norfolk firefighters battled a duplex fire. it started around 2:00 this morning on kingston avenue investigators say everyone got out safely. this morning, they're working to figure out how the fire started. this morning, hundreds of people are still cleaning up after a confirmed e- f-1 tornado hit the small community of waverly. you can see the scope of the destruction from this video chopper 10 shot yesterday morning. volunteers will be hard at work, helping those impacted by the deadly disaster. rico bush is live with the latest on how people are coping with the devastation. rico. katie, don, clean-up is well underway. this morning, the community and volunteers are coming back together to help assist neighbors after the town suffered unimaginable devastation. storm victims say they're just trying to move forward. this morning, local organizations and leaders will give out water, toiletries and non-perishable items to

town's vacant fresh pride store. yesterday, local officials and community members collected the donations for the victims. the red cross and salvation army also provided help. officials say the e-f-1 tornado displaced about 30 people, but last night, those folks found places to go. locals tell us the tragedy is bringing people in the small community together in this dark time. c20 waverly councilman kevin jones 11:50:55 "the devastation that took place here is something that i have never seen before and right now it's bringing the entire town together to help each and every person that has gone through this, everybody is affected one way or another." volunteers with southern baptist disaster relief are also lending a hand to the storm victims later today. they're expected to put tarps over damaged homes in the community. and, this morning, the

open a shelter for the families who can't go back to their homes. live in waverly, rico bush, 10 on your side. 10 on your side talked with governor terry toured the area yesterday. he says he's made state resources available for folks who are cleaning up across virginia. the governor also visited the damage in tappahannock, north of us, and appomattox county, near lynchburg. four people in virginia died, including 3 in waverly. mcauliffe says his heart goes out to those who have lost loved ones. c0028 1644 i think it's important to come down and see what actually is needed to make sure we can get the state and federal resources in here as fast as possible 1651 the governor says inspectors are still trying to calculate the financial losses, but it's well into the millions. many of you asked, "how can i help." coming up in our next

she recently opened an office in norfolk. her campaign did not say where exactly she would stop. florida senator marco rubio says he'll be in virginia beach, sunday. he's planning a rally at the convention center, starting at six o'clock. meanwhile at 7:00 tonight, fellow candidate, texas senator ted cruz will speak at regent university in virginia beach. dr. ben carson will be there on monday. new this morning, utah is one step closer to legalizing marijuana for medical reasons. the state's senate passed a controversial bill last night. patients with caner, pain, aids or eplipesy can use it with a doctor's prescription. the bill still has to get through several more hurdles before it becomes law. firefighters in rhode island are trying to figure out how an historic mansion went up in flames. check out this video from the scene. the 9-thousand square foot home was built in the 1870s.

1916, and again yesterday. the home's 9 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms -- all gone. newport fire officials say no one was hurt. a communications professor has lost her job at the university of missouri. melissa click had been suspended since her confrontation with student journalists last year. video showed her calling for "some muscle" to remove the students during campus protests. she faces charges for the incident. click says she regrets her actions. the domestic violence case against cleveland browns quarterback johnny manziel is headed to a grand jury. police say they finished their investigation into last month's incident. manziel's ex-girlfriend, colleen crowley, says he attacked her in dallas. officers have not arrested manziel. the grand jury will decide whether or not he should face charges. let's check traffic now. the cost of parking permits for some wokers at the virginia beach oceanfront has gone up. neighbors say nearly 1-thousand people need parking spaces during the summer. they say that can be quite a headache if you live nearby. the city decided to raise

its not everyday you have a run-away unicorn on your hands. police in california had to chase the animal after it got away from a child's birthday party. it took officers several hours to track it down. they even had to put up a chopper to watch it! we're gonna let you in on a little secret. its not actually a unicorn. its a white pony, named juliet, with a horn strapped to her head. several people called 9-1-1 saying they saw the so-called unicorn running along the highway. the pony was not hurt, and police decided not to cite the owner. right now at 5:30, we're following breaking overnight news out of
