good morning, katie and don. following a decisive victory in south carolina and with just a day left until super tuesday, hillary clinton is bringing her message to the commonwealth to tell voters why she's the best candidate for the presidency. at tonight's event, clinton is expected to speak to voters about her proposals that seperate herself apart from her democratic challenger senator bernie sanders. her campaign says she plans to touch on many issues like the ecomony, racial justice and healthcare. for the former secretary of state, she's hoping today's event at lake taylor high school in norfolk drives voter turnout in the democratic primaries tomorrow and solidifies her strong support in the commonwealth. as we previously reported more than 1-hundred delegates are up for grabs in the virginia and clinton is looking to expand her delegate lead with a win here on super tuesday. hillary clinton - (d)

klansmen at a planned anti-immigration rally saturday in anaheim. officers said the klansmen stabbed three counter-protesters with knives, but said they had the right to defend themselves. today a man charged with murdering his wife and killing a female police officer is expected in court. 32-year-old ronald hamilton is scheduled for an arraignment in prince william county. investigators say hamilton's wife called police saturday during a fight. by the time three officers arrived, she was dead. hamilton is a solider who works at the pentagon. this morning he's in jail died during her first day in the field. she was sworn in on friday. two other officers were injured and have a long recovery ahead. hundreds of people gathered to remember officer guindon. the chief says she started with the department as an intern before joining the police academy. ways." officer guindon also served as a marine corps reservist. the news of officer guindon's death spread quickly and affected law enforcement in our area. virginia beach, newport news, hampton, portsmouth, and norfolk's police departments shared their condolences online. we put more information on wavy dot com, including pictures of the other officers hurt this past weekend. today a navy seal will recieve america's highest military honor for his role in a risky rescue mission in afghanistan. president barack obama will give edward byers jr. the medal of honor. byers helped rescue a doctor held captive by the taliban back in december 2012. byers is the eleventh living service member to receive the medal of honor for his actions in afghanistan. new this morning senator tim kaine says he's working on a defense budget that would bring more work to local shipyards. newport news shipbuilding says its struggled with
