yestererday was another gorgeous day. >> what a stretch of whether we have had. the clouds have rolled in and of the rain will be followed -- wet a stretch of wheteather have had. you can see the rain moving in west of hagerstown. it will take another hour or two to reach baltimore. take an umbrella. rain showers are likely off and on. you can even hear a rumble of thunder. high temperature around 74. we will check the seven-day forecast coming up in just a few minutes. first, was a good morning to sarah and see what is happening on the roads. >> we are starting off on a busy notes. southbound on the harrisburg expressway, we are dealing with an overturned tractor trailer. it is blocking several lanes. there is also a fuel spill. it is on its side.
watch for delays southbound on the harrisburg expressway. we have some closures at eastern avenue because of the greek festival. in harford county, 136 is closed because of the transformer that is being transferred. it is transferring very slowly. watch for those closures remaining in effect. on a harrisburg the expressway, no signs of delays here. we will be watching for delays because of the overturned tractor trailer. switching over to liberty. so far, it is running very well be on the west side. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. >> 600 maryland workers now face losing their jobs. >> the solo cup -- three solo cup locations or click closing. jennifer franciotti is following
this story and is joining us from the news from. >> the company is based in chicago. it has 13 manufacturing plants around the country. officials say the primary reason is the economy and the need to consolidate its operations. reduced demand has burdened facilities with overcapacity. plants in massachusetts will also shut down. >> i am distraught over it. it is not like things haven't been happening before that. not like a big surprise. >> they will begin phasing out operations over the next 24 months. employees will be given 60 day'' notice before being laid off. we will have more at 5:30. >> the company in owings mills

with her dead body for days. he apparently shot himself in the head. he called police and said he shot his wife. the man will likely be charged with murder. a plane flipped over all trying to land. it is all caught on videotape. the footage shows the plane straight up on its nose while trying to land. the pilot and passenger were wearing shoulder harnesses. the plane was in virginia to promote a new movie. >> it was a somber day in ohio as the community is sticking together every community -- after a tornado. the father of the class valedictorian was killed. the school will rebuild. >> 5:11, 61 degrees.

tractor trailer. looking very good on the west side. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. now we get the latest on the buses and trains. good morning. >> thank you. so far so good this morning with the trains and buses. the number 20 train is diverted because of the greek festival. watch out for the seven line that is diverted at broadway and lombard. the 91 line is diverted because of construction. the 44 line is being diverted. we have the light rail and metro running problem-free. trains on the penn, camden, and brunswick lines are showing no delays. now back to tony pann. >> thank you. things are pretty quiet right now in the weather department but that will change as we get towards 8:00 a.m. you can see rain moving in.
the sprinkles will be moving into frederick within the next 45 minutes. it is still a good distance away from baltimore and the beltway. it should be dry for the early part of the commute. then the rain showers will catch up to everybody. there is a lot of rain upstream. showers and thunderstorms extend back into illinois. this past to clear through before we clear out. this area of low pressure is moving pretty quickly. there is a lot of real estate to cover until it gets off the coast. until 11:00 p.m., there will be a chance for off and on showers and thunderstorms as the high pressure moves off the coast. we are starting off warmer, 60's right now. 66 at the airport. 60 degrees in rising sun in cecil county. we should be able to sneak into
the low 70's this afternoon. maybe a thunderstorm this afternoon and this evening. sunrise at 40 minutes after 5:00 a.m. rainshowers are likely to night, especially early. then the skies will clear. low temperature of around 62. tomorrow, the system will be pushing off the coast. i think there could be some rain across the lower eastern shore, maybe at the beaches. but then everything will clear out. the area of high pressure will give as dry conditions for the rest of the week. 73 today with rain showers. we clear out tomorrow. 86 on friday. 90 on saturday and 92 on sunday. another system moves in on sunday night and it will drop the temperatures into the 70's by tuesday of next week.
