one person accelerated a pickup truck towards a police officer. leon spry was shot after a scuffle on saturday morning. faces attempted murder and assault. police on the lookout for two male suspects that robbed a pizza shop. employees were held at gunpoint. another man waited outside. both men took off on foot. a taxicab driver was stabbed . this happened to robert donley. he was stabbed in the upper body. he has been released from hospital and is recovering at
home. >> the murder trial of george huguely continues today. he's accused of killing yeardley love. there was a very emotional week. >> the videotape statement sparked emotion. on the witness stand, the detective recounted the events shortly after the glove was found dead. she said huguely had been drinking before his statement. he called love his former girlfriend. they have learned that the other had been unfaithful and he went to love's apartment to talk things over. said, i was like chill out. she said he kept hitting her
head against the wall. he said, i never strangled her. i may have grabbed her neck. the detective told huguely that love was dead. said, she's dead? he said, please tell me she is not dead. kill me. there's no way she is dead. >> love was found dead almost two years ago after her head was slammed against wall. >> defense attorneys claim love died in part by taking a drug and alcohol. stay with us as the trial continues. >> the state of the city will be the topic get city hall as
