mitt romney starts the five-state bus tour. president obama coming off a star-studded night of fund-raising in new york city. he collected about $2 million at the home of actress sarah jessica parker. the president is trying to appeal to struggling middle class voters but also targeting wealthy supporters as he seeks a second term in the white house. jurors have rejected claims that kevin costner duped stephen baldwin out of millions of dollars from a profitable contract with bp to use cleanup technology in the wake of the gulf oil spill in 2010. costner testified he and a business partner would not have sold their shares in ocean therapy had they known bp would order more devices. costner said he allowed the case to go to court and refused to settle because his reputation was at stake. new parents with sticker shock, a baby born in 2011 can expect to spend $235,000 to raise their bundle of joy over the next 17 years.

her and how to pick a man. on a son, how to pick a wife and treat a woman. >> also have to stress, take a look at the divorce rate. that has an impact because parents split up. there may be some acrimony. the dad may take the path of least resistance. >> i know that. but i always tell fathers you're divorcing your wife or partner, you're not divorcing your children. you need to stay involved. >> i think what's interesting, there's an interesting survey. today's did a survey, spouses were asked, what most makes you feel appreciated by their partner, 61% say they would like a verbal acknowledgement while only 39% of the moms say that. >> a lot has to do with confidence. moms are more confident in their role as parents. they need a little push. tell them good job and you'll get more out of them. >> most dads don't feel
