getting a break and it's tapering off, it's back. >> there are additional showers behind that. still watching the flash flood warning for the next hour and a half in the city of fall river. there have been localized areas of flooding, street flooding and the rain has filled back in right over the east side of the city. torrential downpours right now. this stretches back up on the south shore and then it's light shower activity, light pockets of rain on the cape and islands. you'll encounter wet roads here. just pushed off out of boston from the south shore hull to hingham and north and west of town, some of the suburbs. seeing some of the downpours
in through cape ab topsfield to ipswich. the farther west you go, temperatures looking into the upper 60s. the rain will continue to shift east. it's leftover showers by 8:00 a.m. that will last until the late morning. then the sun breaks out. we go 70 to 75. the evening commute is much drier. temperatures clearing falling into the temperatures after that. miles per hour. i think the strongest wind gusts are pretty much done but there may still be pockets of outages. >> what do we have to do now, robi? >> almost a dozen accidents out there so far and counting just about every major route, danielle. now we have a new one west of boston up in marlboro. 495 northbound near exit 43, a rollover. south of the city, three
street, the left lane is blocked. let's see if we can go to mobile 4 for the next one. this is route 3 northbound in braintree. this is in weymouth right now. this is the backup. the left lane is blocked. the backup is to derby street in hingham. that's what mobile 4 is sitting in right now. finally, the left lane is blocked before columbia road. chris, kathryn? we begin with a developing story. a stabbing near two boston bars. police are investigating the violence near the bellingham tavern and the point bar. two people were hurt. one was taken to mass general with a slash wound. a second person was take ton a different hospital. also developing this morning, a pedestrian hit by a car in west bridge waiter and is left with here us -- bridge walter and is left with serious injuries. the driver stopped. police are investigating.
now to a bomb threat on board a plane at logan airport. >> an uxbridge man will be charged in the case. susie steimle is live for us at logan with what he's accused of. good morning, susie. >> reporter: good morning, kathryn and chris. he is accused of making very uncomfortable comments to passengers on board a united airlines flight to chicago. the 55-year-old man from uxbridge now under arrest saying he had a bomb in his bag. that's what he told moment am passengers according to police on board this flight 439. it's supposed to take off around 6:00 because of this incident. they delayed it about 50 minutes. police had to come on to the plane to make this arrest. they can hold him here overnight. this turned out to be a false bomb threat. at the airport they take things like this very seriouslyp he it
charged with making a false bomb threat. he's scheduled to appear on these charges later this morning. we're live at logan airport. seuss sigh steimle, wbz news this morning. the prep school student convicted of the sexual assault of a classmate will be sentenced today. owen la brie was convicted on five counts in the assault of the prestigious new hampshire boarding school. his lawyers say he's been get probation. he'd have to register as a sex owe phonedder for life. attorneys for dzhokhar tsarnaev are asking for special arrangements as they file his appeal. they want him to be able to

a man has had a shark attack. that attack happened in hawaii. he can't wait to head back out there. here's nicole jacobs. big spirit, nicole. >> reporter: very big spirit. it's going to be a long road. colin cook seems to have the drive it takes to tackle this head on. it was believed to be a 10 foot tiger shark. cook arrived in boston last night as he prepared for the next step of the journey as the 25-year-old is from rhode island. for years he's lived in hawaii where surfing became his daily love. he recalled the attack in almost vivid terms. he was relentless not leaving him alone or swimming away. the attack took his leg and a finger.

around the surrounding cities. dighton to lakeville gets heavier. i'm concerned with the cape and islands from mid to late morning because there's more rain down to the south. some thunderstorms, too. from plymouth back down to wareham, heavy rain in the next couple of hours. in and around the city, heaviest rain came through. there are still downpours in and around the city. but it's lighter. cambridge to somerville, light activity. heavier downpours in the deeper reds from marble head pack up through beverly. temperatures, by the way, look at this running in the mid to upper 60s right now. we'll go to 70 to 75 this afternoon. 8:00 a.m., notice mid and outer cape. temperatures in the 60s all the while, leftover smile sun breaks out 07 to 75.
late in the day, your evening commute much drier. an isolated shower or two. clearing skies come in after that. the wind has been an issue you and brought scattered damage. some of the peak wind gusts, too. >> the wind gusts are reported ever since yesterday when things really started to ramp up into the evening hours and overnight. blue hill observatory has a 60 mile-per-hour gust. fair haven 49 miles per hour. that's why we have the power outages and the damage report. wind gusts currently 33 miles per hour in plymouth. all of those winds from the south will stay strong through 10:00 a.m. we have a wind advisory for all locations in the shaded spots, gusts could push 50 miles per hour, but mainly towards that 10:00 a.m. hour. coastal flood advisory also out from 11:00 a.m. today.

there. >> live ray doctor shows the heaviest downpowers out of the city of boston. the heaviest rain by far in massachusetts right now is over the cape cod canal. so when you get back down near buzzards bay and the deeper oranges and yellows it is pouring from woods hole to borne sandwich and wareham aas well. we can put the rainfall rates out here. we're talking rainfall rates an inch and a half to two hours. the flash load warning for fall river in the area. we've had about a half dozen reports of streets flooded out down there. that will continue to improve as the heaviest rain pushes out of fall river. still downpours from dighton to taunton.
up 93 from woburn back up to north reading. temperatures, look at this, running in the middle to upper 60s right now. so cape and the islands, you are into it in the late morning. sun breaks out and we come into the lower to middle 70s then later on this afternoon, a couple of passing showers. that's a cold front. after that we cool our temperatures into the 50s throughout evening hours. so it has been a busy morning on the roads. robi? >> danielle, we've had more than a dozen accidents including several rollovers. that's created nightmare scenarios. 93 southbound is really terrible following an earlier crash in andover. 93 south is crawling all the way into boston. the mass pike is a total mess, too. look at the middle of your screen there. see all that red in the middle
