sunshine today, however the dramatic drop in temperatures is sending a big chill across the region, and we will let you know how long it will go in the nbc10 news forecast. it's just after 9:00 on this sunday. we will get to the breaking news out of florida, but first let's check in with meteorologist, brittney shipp. brittney, i know you have your coat on this morning. >> yeah, and you have to bring out the ug boots. tomorrow will be colder than the morning we are having right now. we will see plenty of sunshine, but don't let that fool you. it's going to be cold today. we will see temperatures staying well below our average of 66 degrees, and our high today, right around 52. 43 in philadelphia, and 45 in washington township, and 39 in trenton, closer to allentown we pushed above freezing now, 38 degrees, and 39 in beach haven,

and 41 in millville and 42 in dover. we will see another round of freeze warnings and frost advisories go in effect at midnight tonight lasting until monday at 9:00 a.m., and temperatures ranging between 49 and 52 for the daytime highs. coming up, i am tracking colder temperatures as we head into monday morning, and also we will start to warm things back up. now to breaking news out of montgomery county. crews are working to distinguish a fire in upper dublin township. this is a shot from our camera in center city, and you can see off in the distance heavy smoke and that's where this fire is happening, all the way out in montgomery county. authorities tell us one person was taken to the hospital, and no word on that person's condition. we are going to continue to follow this breaking news and bring you updates. we do have a crew on the way to the fire, and you can also get the latest on the nbc10 app. now to that breaking news

out of ft. meyers, florida. here's what we know this morning. annual halloween festival turned into a real-life horror show after a shooting killed one man and injured several others. the shooter is still at large, and nbc10's monique braxton is live in the digital information center with the details. >> witnesses tell police they have shut down part of downtown ft. meyers where zombicon was under way. look at the video we have collected overnight while you were sleeping. it shows the chaotic scene. one witness says after shots rang out, people were running and screaming and police tell us one man was shot and killed just before midnight, but investigators are not sure why. four others injured are expected to recover, and zombicon is annual charity event where people dress up like zombies, and officials estimate 20,000 people were in the crowd.

surgery and now faces a list of charges. investigators are in the process of trying to determine the motive in this case. this morning state officials are taking care of a 2-year-old boy who was found wondering barefoot around philadelphia's love park, and his parents called to report him missing shortly after he was found and according to police parents were sleeping in the park after being kicked out of their house on friday night, and the investigators tell us the child wondered off and nobody noticed him alone and barefoot and flagged down septa police officers, and no word on the possibility of charges in this case. chester county police are investigating the deaths of two people found shot inside of a van. police responded to the scene last night outside of coatesville. police are not releasing details about the victims, suspects or

motive, and the two counties are working together on this case. today a memorial service held for this man shot to death in a home invasion. tony harris was killed on friday night. three armed men stormed in through his unlocked front door, and the robbers shot harris after demanding cash he did not have. a man trying to kill his girlfriend wound up dead in a house fire. investigators say the man set fire to his own home along collingdale, and he set the fire and got trapped behind the door, and the girlfriend jumped out of a window to safety and was rescued from the roof by a neighbor. and then showing support for the men and women in blue. community members lined the

streets with police lives matter signs. law enforcement needs community support now more than ever. happening right now, philadelphia's aids funds is holding its annual 5k run and walk. participants got started around 7:30 this morning. runners and walkers are making a round trip along mlk drive, and that street will be closed until about 1:00 this afternoon. atlantic city marathon started at 8:00 this morning on the boardwalk at michigan avenue. drivers down the shore could expect delays on all of the roads in that area around the boardwalk between 9:00 this morning and 11:00, later on. still ahead, gop presidential frontrunner donald trump in a war of words with jeb bush after this comment.

tornado and why it was moving so slowly. land sprout tornadoes are tornadoes without the super cell. we are going to see calm weather conditions today and tomorrow, but the big thing is how cold it's going to be today and heading into tomorrow morning, and that cold is going to stick around for the monday night football game at the linc. we can see a few clouds, but we well see mostly sunny skies for philadelphia and most of south jersey stretching down into the shore, and the cold air from canada is here to stay today and head into monday, and then we will see mild conditions returning. we are in the 40s this morning, 43 degrees in philadelphia, and low 40s in dover, and 45 degrees in wildwood. a closer look at the satellite

new this morning, a slow-moving typhoon is over northeastern philippines. yesterday officials evacuated thousands of villagers who were in the path of the typhoon. there are no immediate reports of any injuries. new photos show a swedish migrant shelter burning out of control in what police calling a case of aggravated arson, and

the school was closed and was recently renovated for those coming from syria, and police have not made any arrests connected to the blaze. authorities in mexico are stepping up their search for drug lord, joaquin "el chapo" guzman. he escaped from prison this summer. officials from the prison and a pilot are charged with helping el chapo escape. marines in the meantime have installed checkpoints in the mountainous region and say troops are active in the area. lamar odom's family says they will not comment on his condition five days after he was found unconscious at a legal brothel in november. he was rushed to the hospital after being found face down at the brothel. all his publicist will say at this point is that the nba star woke up and spoke, and a source

degrees in atlantic city. the freeze advisory expired at 9:00 a.m., and another will go into effect tonight lasting until tomorrow. currently in the poconos, 31 degrees, and 42 degrees in dover, so not too bad of a start but definitely a lot cooler than we are used to and below average, and it's not just us, but virtually the entire northeast dealing with the cold air really taking a nosedive, and temperatures in atlanta, 49 degrees, and this cold air will stay over our region as we head through the rest of today, pushing through monday. won't be until tuesday we see the mild conditions returning, and the average for this time of year is 66 degrees, and head into today, we will be well below that average at 52, and take a look at tuesday, back above average and we will stay that way for a few days.

we just have to get through today and tomorrow, and definitely tomorrow morning, so a freeze warning goes back into effect, and also a frost advisory at midnight, and that will last until 9:00 a.m. on monday, so it will be a cold commute for you as you head to work tomorrow, and make sure you bundle up the kids. satellite radar shot shows clear conditions for us, and lots of sunshine expected as we go through the rest of the day. we expect to see a slight chance of stray showers, closer to 7:00 p.m., and it will be short-lived and that will give way to clear skies toenight and lots of sunshine tomorrow. temperatures ranging between the 40s, and we will see temperatures in philadelphia dropping down to 33. that's setting us up for a cold eagles' game as well. by monday, 8:30 p.m., we will

see temperatures around 45 degrees, and your 7-day forecast shows as we head into the next couple of days, we are going to stay cold today and tomorrow, but take a look at what happens as we head into tuesday and wednesday, temperatures recover nicely, 67 degrees as we head into tuesday, and by wednesday, back to the low 70s we go, so again, we definitely have to get through tomorrow morning, and that's going to be the coldest morning we have seen all season. >> good advice for parents taking their kids to the bus stop, make sure they have everything on before they head out the door. >> temperatures will be in the high 20s and the low 30s. very cold. >> feeling more like winter than fall. >> yeah. penn state won five straight games and all were at home but a tough test on the road to the number one team in the country, ohio state. were the buckeyes sleeping on

the knnittany lions? maybe a little bit. here is a highlight for penn state. a great effort to get into the end zone, but penn state loses 38-10, so they have been out scored their last two trips to ohio state, 101-24. take a look at this. michigan up two on michigan state, and the punter cannot handle the snap and it ends up in the hands of jalen watts jackson, and he returns it for a touchdown and time expires. look at the faces. michigan state stuns michigan, 27-23, and jalen who scored the touchdown dislocated his hip on the play and had to be taken to the hospital. temple matches the best start in school history at the linc. temple was only up one at the half, so the coach does his half-time speech on the field and the owls respond.
