so a little breezy this morning but we'll see that breeze go away later this afternoon. plan on a good saturday. by 8:0029. 37 by lunch time and by 4:00, 40 trees. right on the mark for seasonable temperatures. we'll warm it up in the days ahead. happening now a portion of i-95 south in bucks county is closed. state police are gag it an accident in cornwall heights. we have a crew on the way to the scene. we'll have more on that throughout the newscast. this morning -- on the hunt for a person of interest wanted in the measure of a man who was found dead inside of a home. drew smith is live at the scene in new castle with the latest on the investigation. >> reporter: a police officer is still standing guard here at the
end of a small street in the mallard point section. police have a person of in. his name is gregory parker and wanted in connection in death of sean spence. a welfare check call led police to this home thursday night. that's when they found the body inside. gregory parker lives here with his girlfriend and parker and spence apparently knew each other. it's unclear what the motivation behind this crime was. of this not a random encounter. a lot of neighbors were out here talking with us. said parker was a nice guy. coached basketball. went to wawa in the morning. wednesday morning he was out acting normal. police are looking for him now and have not tracked him down. >> police are calling this next one rider rage that ended in a stabbing. only nbc 10 has the video showing an attack that began with a dispute over bus fare and
ended with a septa passenger in critical condition. we first told you about this stabbing as breaking news yesterday afternoon. this morning the attacker is still on the loose. coming up on the left side of your screen you can see the two men brawling. a business owner who does not want to reveal his identity said the fight unfolded on the septa 66 bus. a man boarded with invalid bus pass. the driver pulled over in frankfurt and called police. other passengers got off the bus except the victim who told the man with the bad pass to get off the bus and stop holding everybody up. >> oh, he stabbed me. he said oh, he stabbed me. >> so fast in fact no one stopped the man who simply walked away. the stabbing victim is expected to survive. septa tells us that video inside the bus will be released next week. police continue to look for the attacker. this morning a man is in
critical condition after being shot and then crashing his car. police tell us the man tried to drive himself to the hospital after he was shot right around 9:00 last night. he then crashed into three cars flipping his vehicle. so far nobody has been arrested. philadelphia police are expected to passaic an arrest after two guns got inside ben franklin high school yesterday. one of those guns went off in a fight between students. nbc 10 was there when police took in three teenagers for questioning. the teens are not facing charges now. investigators tell us a group of kids started fight near a stairwell when a security guard heard a gun go off. >> my daughter goes to lunch around 12:15, she usually calls me around that time. she called me before and said there was a lockdown. i asked why. she said there was a shooting at the school. >> police found one gun and a shell casing in the stairwell.
embattled allentown mayor wants to keep the eyes on the future of his city and not the investigation. he spoke about diminishing crime in allentown but made no mention of the fbi investigation involving his administration. the fbi is looking into an alleged pay to play scheme related to campaign contributions and city contracts, something we asked him about. >> were you involved in steering any contracts to campaign contributors? >> i can't talk about an ongoing investigation. >> do you fear an indictment? >> we got a great story to tell her. we have a great city. my focus is on the state of the city speech much >> city council has voted unanimously for the mayor to resign. he has not been charged or indicted in this case. the pope's ride hits the auction block in philadelphia.

they're number ones, number twos, and a number of ideas for three. life's morning madness. and comfortable, organized bed and bathrooms that make them better. . we have a warning about rapid raccoons in new jersey. a raccoon was found in magnolia camden county has tested positive for rabies. we learned a raccoon that attacked a boy in new jersey was rabid too. the raccoon attacked the 6-year-old on his way to school. the animal jumped on the boy's back and began scratching and biting his face. the child has a number of cuts and wounds but now out of the hospital and back home. a man who heard the child's mother screaming for help ended up killing the animal. we now know of two new cases
of the zika virus here in the u.s. those cases have been confirmed in texas and illinois. the zika virus spread through mosquitoes. the white house says president obama and president of brazil have discussed their concerns about the outbreak. right now brazil is seeing a wave of bitter defects caused by the virus. six to eight people in the meantime in pennsylvania have been tested for the virus. right now no cases are confirmed here. each person being tested had traveled to an area affected by the virus. doctors tell us they are advising expectant mothers to use caution. i had somebody call me last week about a trip to cancun and my advice was if she could postpone it that would be the safest way to avoid any exposure during the pregnancy. >> active areas is connectiono, central and south america. homes in peru are being fumigated after the first case
of the virus was found. now to decision 2016. hillary clinton's campaign says it wants the state department to release about two dozen emails from her private server but the department labeled top secret. yesterday the state department released its latest batch of emails from clinton's home server when she was secretary of state. a spokesman for the democratic presidential candidate is questioning the secrecy of the messages. he's also questioned the timing of the issue just days before the iowa caucuses. the polls have hillary clinton tied with bernie sanders in iowa. the vermont senator said he wouldn't make clinton's emails an issue but calling out his rival for a fundraiser she held in philadelphia earlier this week. yesterday sanders slammed clinton for her ties to the financial industry. franklin square capital partners, an investment firm hosted the clinton fundraiser in philly. holt asked clinton about the criticism in an exclusive one on one interview. >> we both have stood up to wall street. i stood up before most people stood up back when i was a senator. we both have plans. mine is more expansive, tougher, more effective, comprehensive. >> clinton also said she's proud to have a broad base of support across the country. in the republican race for the white house ted cruz is brushing off the latest insult from donald trump. yesterday the billionaire businessman mocked cruz's canadian birth calling him an anchor baby. the texas senator said trump is welcome to say whatever he wants and it's up to iowa vote towers pick the best candidate. nbc 10 is in iowa. lauren mayk will have a report later on today. presidential candidates ted cruz, marco rubio and bernie sanders will be talking with moderator chuck todd about their prospects in the iowa caucuses.

some good news. good story here. family dog is home again after his owners say he was stolen by a group of people impersonating the spca. the group took the dog because of a photo on social media. nbc 10 keith jones reports the real spca stepped in to bring the pet home back to philadelphia. >> reporter: this is king. he's an 8-year-old big old rottweiler. his owners tell me a group pretending to the spca came to their door and almost took him
from them forever. brenda johnson remembers when king was a small puppy. >> he's like a family member. >> reporter: now he's about 90 pounds. brent at that told me he often stays in this garage. she showed us his chain. it's the same one several animal rescue groups say was hanging from. brenda says he simply is jumping. >> you can look at my animal. he's not abused. he's healthy. been registered to the state. >> reporter: she claims several people showed up at her door tuesday night claim took the spca and threatening her with animal cruelty charges. >> it's not right. what ever they did to me they will do to other people. >> reporter: tonight i spoke with the animal rescue group. they didn't threaten brent darks never claimed to be from the spca and brenda rightfully handed the rottweiler over. we also talked to the spca.
they helped bring king back the home brenda. no charges will be filed. brenda told me she plans to file a complaint with the state and file a lawsuit against the animal rescue group. keith jones, nbc 10 news. >> pennsylvania has launched the first statewide campaign to prevents sexual assaults on high school and college campuses. it's all part of the national its on us initiative. governor tom wolf made the announcement yesterday. 40 colleges and universities across the state are taking part. the campaigned is aimed at raising awareness to prevent sexual assault and how to respond if it happens. build like a girl. that's the most to behind a habitat for humanity group. it's the last day of the organization's women build week. yesterday local women worked at the habitat for humanity offices in norristown. they hope to rehabilitate two
