breezy day ahead. the sun is expected to peek out a little bit later on. we're keeping an eye onç our weekend weather. this is "nbc 10 news today." i'm rosemary connors. >> i'm vai sikahema. let's bring in meteorologist bill henley who has the first alert forecast. bill, grab your coat. leave the umbrella today? >> yes. it will be dry but we will get a cold one. we're starring off chilly with clear skies. about an hour away from sunrise right now. at this hour, the temperatures are still falling. a live view from center city. the temperature, 44 degrees in philadelphia. there are colder spots, coatesville is at 39 degrees, 39 degrees in toms river and right at 40 at south philadelphia, 5th and wharton. northeast philadelphia at 44 degrees. factor in the wind, though, we have readings in the 30s. it feels like it's 36 in the city and most of the area is feeling that cold wind this morning. we'll get sunshine. bright sunshine at 7:00. 47 degrees at 10:00 and just in time for the parade in center city, 50 degrees and still climbing at 1:00 this afternoon.

your neighborhood by neighborhood forecast when i'm back in ten minutes. let's see how the roads are moving on a friday morning. jessica boyington with first alert traffic. jessie? >> we're watching 422 right now. good things out here right now. at least around trooper road. these are the eastbound lanes right there. that's what's headed towards the schuylkill expressway. that's what jams up in the morning. our drive time is eight minutes eastbound from the 29 to the schuylkill with speeds into the 60s. we're watching the area bridges for scheduled openings. we're in the process of one on the tacony palmyra that was scheduled for 5:20. of course bridge is up right now. no problems on the burlington bristol or the burlington. columbus boulevard is closed around oregon avenue. your best bet, take front street or jump on 95 if you want to look for a highway. we stay with the breaking news in south philly that jessica just mentioned along columbus boulevard. nbc 10's deanna durante is on the scene of that one-car crash that left two people dead.

deanna, what can you tell us? >> we can tell you two people are still in the hospital at this hour. take a look behind me. investigators taking a better look at the car there that has come to rest in front of a peco boulevard near oregon and columbus boulevard. this all happened around 2:30 this morning. the car came flying past them, witnesses tell us, as they were heading south on columbus boulevard. take a look at video one witness snapped from his dashcam. the car comes across the lanes of traffic and hits the building. ple police tell us they are investigating this as a crash where speed was a factor. two passengers in the back seat, a man and woman, were killed. police are working on positively identified those people. at least one of the victims did not have identification that police could readily see. the two people in front of the

car are being at two different hospitals in philadelphia at this hour. >> she skid, hit a bump, went up on the center median and shot across the hit the building. she had to be going 80, 90 because i was doing 60. >> it appears, from witnesses, that speed contributed to this accident. the witness said that the vehicle was clearly going, he believed, at a high rate of speed when it lost control, struck the median strip, flipped over, then struck the building. >> now, again, you can see damage to the corner of this building here. we're told no one was inside at the time of the crash but licenses and inspections has been on scene making sure the building is safe for people when they report here to work. there was surveillance video from inside the building that police would like to obtain. the 23-year-old female driver of this car right now it is believed that woman did not have a valid driver's license.

she is being treated at a center city hospital at this hour. reporting live in south philadelphia, deanna durante, nbc 10 news. >> deanna, thank you. the national champion villanova wildcats and their fans are getting ready for a victory parade in philadelphia today. here's a look at the parade route. it stretches five blocks. the parade starts at 1:00 this afternoon at 20th and market streets. from there it will go through center city and end at dilworth park in front of city hall. yesterday, nbc 10 found crews putting the finishing touches on preparations for the victory celebration. barricades are in place along the parade route. again, the parade will end at dilworth park. that's where head coach jay wright and the villanova players are expected to speak at a rally. you can watch the victory parade for the national champion villanova wildcats right here on nbc 10. we'll live stream it on nbc10.com and the nbc 10 app. coverage starts at 1:00 this afternoon. 5:35 on this friday. the woman accused of kidnapping a newborn from the king of prussia mall is out on bail this morning. the district attorney tells us

sharia moore has mosted the $500,000 cash bail. she had been held in the montgomery county prison. moore is scheduled for a preliminary hearing a week from today. investigators say that amore is the woman seen in this surveillance video carrying this 7-week-old boy out of the mall last thursday. the baby's mother said amore befriend her at a jewelry store in the mall and followed the family to the food court before stealing the baby right from his shoulder. in chester county, police are looking for a second person in a pair of sexual assaults on a college campus. the reported attacks happened on back-to-back days in west chester. april 2nd another woman reported being sexually assaulted in her residence hall. the university says her attacker is not a çstudent. health officials are

concerned that the warmer earth could bring an invasion of the zika virus to our region this summer. montgomery county health officials warn that it is possible the mosquito-borne virus could come to the philadelphia area. right now there are no mosquito-borne cases in the u.s. pennsylvania does have a dozen confirmed cases of people who are affected. they contracted the virus while traveling out of the country. one kind mosquito that could carry the virus is in the u.s. the centers for disease control says the range of that insect could potentially extend into parts of pennsylvania, including philadelphia and all of new jersey and delaware. amtrak workers are now taking part in safety reviews. that's in response to a federal order following sunday's deadly train crash in delaware county. the federal railroad administration told amtrak to go over safety protocols. part of the fra directive

obtained by nbc 10 reminds amtrak that it must notify workers if there are changes to the job and that tracks should not re-open until workers leave the area. >> there are operating rules in effect. which would certainly have prevented this accident had all of the rules been followed. >> he agrees with the need to review safety rules and says amtrak is working to implement a new compliance program. now your nbc 10 first alert weather with meteorologist bill henley. >> a chilly breeze is blowing this morning. look at the flag in center city. the wind has been up to 22 miles an hour in philadelphia. that's making 40s feel like they're in the 30s. we're running 12 degrees colder than yesterday. you'll need the big coat, the thick coat this morning. feels like 30 right now in reading. 32 degrees in quakertown. actually nobody looks warm this morning. feels like 37 degrees in

wrightstown and at the shore, now 38 degrees. that's a little colder than when we went on the air at 4:00 this morning. wilmington, 36, the wind chill and that breeze will be with us through the day. but with clear skies, we will see some sunshine. north and west, a different story. see some clouds producing a few scattered light snow showers in the pocono mountains as these try to move east. they will be disappearing, dissipating. we'll still see some of the clouds. the temperatures will be climbing. upper 30s for mount pocono, 50 for allentown, 52 for reading. low 50s. the breeze will be blowing to make it feel chillier for doylestown, mount holly and norristown. at the shore, cape may, a high of 53 this afternoon. sunshine and clouds for vineland and dover. that steady breeze out of the west for west chester, brex dre hill and çphiladelphia. there are 60s on the seven-day forecast after we see some snow over the weekend.

>> i'll give you a nail biter. it's your weekend forecast. 12 minutes before 5:00, there's no issue for today with the parade. it's going to be nice. a little bit breezy and chilly but, hey, we can deal with that. they won after all. 44 degrees in philadelphia right now. we'll warm into the very low 50s at 1:00 this afternoon. in fact, you were getting closer to sunrise, you can see right at the top of the screen there, clear skies from the view from cape may. dry during the day today. and turning a bit warmer but that chill, you can feel it this morning. 39 degrees in reading. 41 in pottstown and 40s across delaware and south jersey. dry but you don't have to go far to find snow showers. we shouldn't see the snow showers. you might see a flurry or sprinkle as these blow into the area during the day today. clouds, probably that's the worst of it. tomorrow, this is what we have to deal with. that snow and rain. it's on the move. it will be here during the

morning hours and into the afternoon. futurecast shows this morning, an isolated shower possible. that's 9:00 this morning, moving through chester county and there it goes. 1:00 this afternoon, we'll see sunshine and then over the weekend, a chance of snow. delaware and south jersey, you'll see rain, grassy accumulation is possible from the coming system. less than an inch for philadelphia and northern delaware and the pen suburbs. farther north and west you might see a grassy accumulation of 1 to 2 inches. this will be a nuisance during the day on saturday. today, partly sunny, breezy, 50s this afternoon. winds out of the west to 20 miles an hour. come tomorrow, colder. yes, 34 in the morning. 41 in the afternoon. numbers stay above freezing. this is why in spite of snow, we're looking for very little to no accumulation on those hard surfaces. 41 in the afternoon, rain on saturday, sunshine returns sunday. the chance of some showers is back on monday with warmer
