7 mile visibility in philadelphia. further south we're looking pretty good here. toms river, that's where we're seeing reduced visibilities. as you head out this morning, be careful. you may encounter fog, wet roadways once again. we have that rain falling across the area. as we go throughout the day, we'll keep the chance for scattered showers in the forecast. pretty much all day long. later this evening we start to see things clearing out. your saturday evening plans looking much, much better. delaware, 50 degrees with showers falling. lehigh valley, 50. mostly cloudy skies, showers also in south jersey, 50. p.a. suburbs are chilly this morning. you need the jacket as you head out this morning. and in philadelphia, 51 degrees. by this afternoon, we'll be a lot warmer. seven-day scrolling at the bottom if you want to see where your forecast is. philadelphia, 8:00. 52 by lunchtime, temperatures in the upper 50s, better than where we ended up yesterday. later this afternoon, 63. i think we'll top out right around 65, closer to the 71

now to our decision 2016 coverage. hillary clinton will be in south jersey on wednesday. the democratic presidential front-runner will host a public event in the camden area. the new jersey primary, of course, is coming up next month, june 7th. last night, clinton was in oakland, california. when i think about what's at stake, even if i weren't running for president, i would be doing everything i could to make sure that the presumptive nominee of the republican party never gets near the white house.
>> at that rally in oakland, clinton took aim the the likely republican nominee at the get out the vote rally. in new jersey they head to the polls june 7th. meanwhile, bernie sanders wrote a letter to party official this is week, accusing them of favoring supporters of hillary clinton. the former secretary of state has more than 90% of the delegates needed to clinch the nomination. donald trump has a new endorse tomato crow about. former gop nominee and senator bob dole threw his support behind trump yesterday. doel said it's important to honor the votes of the millions of people who have supported trump during the nomination process. trump will not be getting support from south carolina senator lindsey graham. he says he does not think trump is a reliable conservative. graham also says he will skip the gop convention this summer.
it looks like trump and house speaker paul ryan will meet in washington next thursday. many republicans are hoping that the two can close the rift between them. remember earlier this week ryan came out and said he's not ready to support trump's presidential nomination. just last night, trump was back on the campaign trail in eugene, oregon, rallying voters in that state's primary on may 17th. >> nobody gets the crowds that trump gets and nobody has more fun than we do. and the subject is no good. because our country is going to hell. but the good news is we're going to america greater, greater, greater than ever before. >> some local ties with trump now. we learned that he will headline a rally to help new jersey governor chris christie pay off his campaign debt of about $250,000. christie, of course, is a trump supporter. call it the trump effect. in our next half hour, why observers say the donald's rise
could have a big impact on other races this november. well, the rain is still falling this morning. we're looking at light rain pretty much across the area, even some drizzle, clouds, reduced visibility. we'll keep that in place for most of today. improving conditions today. chance of scattered showers compared to that consistent rain we had yesterday. mother's day, starting out with showers but looking better by the afternoon. wi wildwood, new jersey. wet all across the area that. light rain is falling. if you don't have the light rain, you have the drizzle, fog, and gloomy conditions once again. we're going to see that as we head throughout the day. you need a jacket as you head out this morning, in the upper 40s, low 50s. 51 in philadelphia. 50 degrees at the jersey shore. 50 degrees in south jersey. delaware, 50 degrees and the p.a. suburbs around 46 degrees.
that's the coolest spot there. temperatures mainly upper 40s, low 50s. that's what we're seeing in southern new jersey as well. 49 in turnersville, florence also at 49. temperatures right around 56 degrees, one of the warmest spots, 49 in clayton. so, as you head out this morning, you need the rain slicker because of the rain falling. maybe a light jacket with the hood. we're looking at temperatures mainly upper 40s in robinsville. and lumberton coming in at 49 as well. wind speeds are important. winds come in, bringing in low moisture, fog and also the drizzle. wind speeds are not too bad. we'll really see them picking up tomorrow afternoon. gusty winds later on mother's day. not today, though. the direction we're concerned with, bringing in that moisture once again, keeping us cool throughout the early part of the morning. giving us that fog this morning, quarter mile visibility in mt.
pocono. 9 mile visibility in quakertown. 7 mile visibilitypot potstown. looking pretty good as we head further south. be careful with the wet roadways and fog out there. radar showing us where that rain is falling. looking at the rain pretty much across the area. lighter than what we saw yesterday. we'll start to see this lessen throughout the next couple of hours and then we'll have a chance for scattered showers throughout the day. we can't rule out showers from time to time as we head throughout our saturday. that will move off later this evening. a cold front will move through later, overnight into your early part of sunday, bringing us a chance for more showers sunday. we really clear it out on sunday and looking pretty good. philadelphia, lunchtime, 57. by 4:00, 63. we'll top out right around 64. p.a. suburbs, 61 by 4:00. lehigh valley, 55 by 4:00.
