they say he pledged his allegiance to isis before the shooting. one week ago yesterday, mateen shot and killed 49 people in orlando. 50 others were hurt. mateen was later killed in a gun battle with police. yesterday isis released a propaganda video in a demand speaking english claims to be american and he praises mateen. isis has released similar videos after other mass shootings that have been linked to the terror group. and yesterday marked one week since the worst mass shooting in american history. an estimated 50,000 joined together in orlando last night remembering the lives lost. the bell at st. james cathedral tolled 49 times. one for each person killed.nzz)ñ >> this sunday was especially important, just to pray for all the families and for our city. >> this morning, 18 people who were hurt3y in the attack are still in the hospital. four are still in critical condition. authorities are still trying to

nonprofit fund tos pay back an illegal loan. fattah has pleaded not ,7(guilt the soda tax will officially become law in philadelphia today. you won't be paying any tax just yet. the 1.5 cent per ounce tax will be added to sugary drinks in january. all sodas, diet, teas, sports drinks, flavored water, bottled coffee and energy drunks will be taxed. the tax is on drink distributors, not you the customer to be clear. but you'll still see a cost difference. it's just not clear how much. the money f=imp÷rom the tax wil benefit universal pre-k and improving parks and recreation departments among other things. opponents are telling the city the tax violates the )jjip (tf o also happening today, septa will be providing shuttle service for hundreds of commuters this summer. here's why. nbc 10's katy zachry is live at the elwyn station where buses

the low 90s today. some relief will come from a cold front that's producing showers and thunderstorms. it's moving through wisconsin. that's due in early tomorrow morning. for today, 68 degrees right now in philadelphia. 75, that's at 8:00. look at that 88 at lunch time and then it's into the 90s this afternoon. that's the city. the suburbs will be warm there, too. 66 degrees right now. mostly sunny skies. 72 degrees at 8:00. a little bit of a breeze out of the west. not exactly a cooling breeze. not at 88 degrees at noontime. and 09 degrees, that's at 4:00 this afternoon. the wind gets stronger but not by much. lehigh valley in the clear this morning, 64 degrees. no sign of showers during the day today. sunshine from 8:00 through 10:00, noon and 2:00. 91 degrees at 2:00. even a bit warmer, that's at 4:00 this afternoon. for new jersey, sunny skies there, too. clouds are out of the picture.

now your first alert weather with meteorologist bill henley. >> 68 degrees at 4:47. and it is going to be a hot one today. if you're looking for relief, you'll find some at the shore. north wildwood, new jersey, dry this morning. it will be completely dry with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in store for us tomorrow. before they move in, the temperatures will be moving up. in fact, we're already starting off warmer than yesterday. 68 degrees in philadelphia. coatesville and wilmington well into the 60s. look at dover at 71 degrees. that's 4 degrees warmer than yesterday at this time. allentown is warmer. we're right where we were in philadelphia and mt. holly. it's cooler for atlantic city right now at 4 degrees cooler at 62 degrees and falling. the rest of the shore communities are seeing 60s as well, 66 degrees in wholegate, inland, cooler for mullica township at 61 degrees. not bad right now but with sunshine, it will be a fast

27-year-old anton yelchin was found in his own driveway yesterday. he was pinned between his car and a brick mailbox. police say his car rolled down his driveway. they do not suspect foul play. yelchin is best known for playing chekov in the "star trek" films. leslie odom jr. who grew up in east oak lane has announced he will stop performing in "hamilton" when his contract is up july 9th. he's played in the show since early last year. he's the third actor to announce he's leaving hamilton next month. odom is set to perform at the wawa welcome america celebration. we're looking forward to that. the nation's biggest birthday party will be in philadelphia starting one week from today. thousands of people will back
