us, it's 5:00 on this saturday. let's get right to meteorologist crystal klei. happy saturday. we're looking at your temperatures. 76 in philadelphia, allentown at 73, coastal 73 as well and right around those mid 70s, dover, atlantic city it's 75 degrees. at the bottom to have your screen seven day for cast for you. this is what we're looking at on our radar and satellite map. showers well to the west of us, that will be coming in later this afternoon. right now some isolated showers popping up here, even a few pockets of heavier activityj

gold medal in volleyball. catch our going for gold special, we're profiling local athletes that you want to look out for in rio. it airs this evening at 7:00. right after that it's the olympic zone as we follow the games and profile more local athletes in rio. you can catch the olympic zone tonight at 7:30. in other news this morning a powerful union boss and city councilman are the apparent targets of fbi raids conducted all across philadelphia and south jersey yesterday. our cameras caught federal agents seizes truckloads of evidence, documents and computers. the raids were linked to two figures, one of them john dock erty, better known as docky doc, the liter of ibew local 98 the electrical workers union. the other figure bonnie heinen who was elected to philadelphia's city council in 2012. the fbi searched nine different locations including the ones you see here. heinen's office at city haul,
dock erty's home. monique braxton is live just outside the u.s. attorney's office in center city with the latest on this investigation. monique. >> reporter: this is where the boxes upon boxes of evidence have arrived here at the u.s. attorneys office and on monday morning federal attorneys will begin combing through all of the evidence. so let's look at some of the video that we were able to capture yesterday. john dock erty known as johnny dock proclaimed all is good after agents raided several properties linked to him as well as council person bobby heinen. the boxes carried into a rented truck including labels for tax records and payroll information. dock erty said he has been under scrutiny before and nothing ever came of it. >> nothing in my house has changed in ten years, i'm the most vetted guy in philadelphia, you know that, as you get out of your cars you shake your head looking at me like you know i've
been under scrutiny my whole life. i don't know why, maybe it's because i win too much. >> we also reached out to philadelphia mayor jim kinney who grew up with dougherty on the same street as well as his staff for a comment and the mayor told us he does not have any information and he will not be commenting at this time. right now we're showing you the federal courthouse because we do not know what the status is now of the investigation. no charges will be filed against dougherty. according to what we've been told by the u.s. attorneys office. t dougherty will appear before a federal judge. as soon as the u.s. attorney's office releases information you will be the first to know the very latest. live in center city, monique in a separate investigation into john dougherty earlier this year state and federal investigators looked into this incident caught on surveillance video. a contractor claims dougherty attacked him on a south philly
job site back in february because he is a nonunion worker. dougherty has said he acted in self-defense. no charges have been filed. there are also no charges filed in connection with yesterday's fbi raids. stay with nbc 10 for continuing coverage on this. you can also read more about john dougherty and his history in philadelphia right now on the nbc 10 app. now to a story we first told you about as breaking news last night at 11:00. take a look at this video of a fence collapse during a concert in camden. more than a dozen people at least were hurt when the fence came down at the snoop dogg, wiz khalifa show. sky force 10 was also over this scene. medical personnel tending to some of the injured right there.to the waterfront. you can also see where the fence once stood. it separated the lawn area from the walkway to the seats that are under cover.

and welcome back. we will take a look at some of those planners for your day today. it's one of those days where we will see a variation of sky conditions. this morning we are not seeing rain yet but do have some clouds overhead, about 76 degrees. at 8:00 we should be still right in those upper 70s in philadelphia. we're going to crank it up. 87 by noon, upper 80s as we move into your afternoon and that's when we could see spot thunderstorms starting to pick
up. we cannot rule out a strong even maybe severe thunderstorm developing as we move into your afternoon in philadelphia. if we look at south jersey, same situation here, temperatures starting mid 70s, warm it up to the mid 80s by your lunch hour and this line of storms will move from west to east. breaking apart a bit as it hits the shore but all of us looking at the possibility of pop up storms and temperatures in the upper 80s. for the suburbs mid 70s moving into mid 80s by 2:00, peaking the upper 80s for us. some of us in the low 90s. don't forget with a potential thunderstorm and the heat it will feel humid out there. we're looking at feel like temperatures or heat indices even hotter. that's something we will take a look at coming up in just a few minutes. >> today in the lehigh valley it's day two of music fest in bethlehem. stick around for crystal's forecast, you may want to bring annum bra with you.

is facing charges for allegedly skaulting a young girl. a witness told investigators erb sexually assaulted her. it happened in dozens gyms across the area. he most recently was at tumble kids gymnastics in wyndmoor. >> very shocking and frightening when you hear that your children are going here. so it makes you feel very uncomfortable. >> a judge has set bail at half a million dollars. erb is being held at the montgomery county correctional facility. prosecutors are asking anybody with information about any other possible victims to come forward. pennsylvania's supreme court has cleared the way for jury collection to begin with the case against state attorney general kathleen kaine. lawyers for kaine have argued that the grand jury that investigated her was unlawful
and unconstitutional. kaine is accused of leaking secret grand jury material from a separate case and then lying about it under oath. her trial begins on monday. this morning we have some more details about the malfunctioning elevator incident at philadelphia's criminal justice center. this weekend crews will be testing all the elevators at the center. officials will decide on sunday whether to open on monday. sheriff's deputy sergeant paul owens is in critical but stable condition after undergoing surgery this week. he was hurt when an elevator went through the ceiling of the elevator staff. beverley smith, a clark at the cjc was also injured. she is out of the hospital, though, and recovering at home. we now know the closing date for the trump taj mahal in new york city. according to warning notices filed with the state the casino will shut down on october 10th. the owner has blamed striking workers for the closure. 1,000 cooks, servers and
housekeepers have been on strike a total of 3,000 employees will lose their jobs. and starting with a look at those temperatures outside this morning, we have a lot of 70s on the map here, 76 philadelphia and south jersey 75 degrees, lehigh valley at 73 and 74 in the suburbs. let's drop down into there looking at your neighborhood. temperature west bradford township 72 degrees. you see these temperatures as we move along here, warrington at 74. it will be hot as we get into the afternoon. one of those days where we see a variety of weather. we have the heat, humidity but still grab the umbrella because the possibility of thunderstorms pop up into your afternoon. if you are going to the shore early this morning showers already moving through there as well as some of the delaware
beaches. take a look. we start out new parts of rehoboth beach, light showers are moving out right now. spotlight rain this morning should start to come to an end here. then we move over into parts of new jersey and along ocean city through to avalon light to moderate rain. this isn't going to last all morning long, but there is some rain that's falling around parts of the shore. atlantic city as well getting barely tapped with light showers. here is the weather stories for us today. hot and humid then scattered thunderstorms in the forecast. let's talk about that heat and humidity. first we will heat up as we move into the early part of your afternoon meaning it will feel hotter than it is because we have all that moisture in the air making you feel sticky. temperatures warming up to right lo but forecasting feel like temperatures mid upper 90s in parts of philadelphia, the suburbs as well. so it's going to feel very hot out there. if you have afternoon plans make

bit of a light sprinkle outside, light showers. she will have more details on more rain that may be coming our way a little later on. now to decision 2016, republican presidential nominee donald trump seems to be striking a tone of party unity. last night he formally endorsed house speaker paul ryan and arizona senator john mccain in their reelection bids. he said as president he will need a republican house and senate to help make all the changes he wants to happen. trump also continued his attack on democratic rival hillary clinton by describing her this way. >> in one way she is monster. okay? look at what happened. look at her history. in another way she's a weak person. >> tonight trump has a campaign event in new hampshire where
polls show him trailing clinton by double digits. hillary clinton is trying again to clarify comments about her e-mail controversy. speaking to a conference of black and hispanic journalists in washington yesterday clinton told the crowd that fbi director james comey said she was truthful in her statements to investigators about her private server and use of classified messages. clinton added that her what she's been saying publicly. now, to news overseas. in france a fire at a bar in the northern part of the country killed at least 13 people and injured six others yesterday. police say the fire started during a birthday party. according to a local newspaper the ceiling inn nighted by the candles were lit. a judicial inquiry has been opened to determine an official cause of that fire. new amateur video posted on line appears to show scenes of destruction following air strikes in syria.
