the first alert neighborhood weather. welcome temperatures. happy to see the 70s. >> absolutely. the temperatures are going to be great moving into the afternoon, especially since it is first weekend of fall, officially started thursday. now it will feel like it. didn't the last couple days. 70 in philadelphia now. live look shows it is still dark, sun is not quite up. 66 the temperature in pennsylvania suburbs. new jersey in the low 60s. same as the lehigh valley. new jersey may tumble farther down before it rebounds in the afternoon. even the rebound, not too impressive. 74 for philadelphia. pennsylvania suburbs and delaware and 73 in new jersey. everyone consistent with this cool air mass moving in. start partly cloudy as we begin the afternoon, but as we move later in the day, clouds start to clear on the jersey shore.
forecast high of 72 degrees. same situation, clouds begin to clear. looking at a great finish for the weekend for sunday as well. details on that in a bit. >> we will check back shortly. thanks for that. back to breaking news out of new castle county. here is what we know. people are injured in a house fire in wilmington. a report of one person trapped. nbc10 on the scene on lakeview road where flames broke out around 3:00 this morning. we are working to get more information about how many people may have been injured, whether firefighters were injured, and what the extent of their injuries are, what their condition may be. victims were taken to christiana hospital. we have a crew there on the scene, another crew headed there. continue to stay with us for updates throughout the day. now to a developing story out of washington state. police are searching for a gunman who killed four women and wounded a man at a shopping mall in washington.
an employee says gunfire broke out at the makeup counter at the macy's at a mall in burlington. the mall was evacuated immediately. police released video image of the suspected gunman last seen armed with a rifle, walking toward an interstate highway linking burlington with seattle. to charlotte where demonstrators hit the streets for a fourth night of protests over deadly police shooting of an african-american man. they continued to march past a midnight curfew. police say they would let them stay if they're peaceful. this new video surfaced. the family of keith lamont scott released this video yesterday, taken by his wife, shows moments leading up to the shooting death. events in charlotte prompt a new debate on when police departments should release any video captured on dash or body cam. charlotte police chief said he will not release video from

fund-raiser. 19th year for the event which helps to raise awareness about sickle cell disease. nbc10's monique braxton is live. you're participating in this event. >> reporter: i have been participating in this more than a decade and honored to be asked to do so. it is amazing to see, rosemary, little children arrive, see them a few years later in college and they're pursuing their dreams. this disease is under control in their lives, but it is not that way for everybody. i should tell you that organizers have arrived with police to set up in the shadows last year, our camera was rolling when thousands walked walter brandon who spearheaded the first walk before he passed away from complications of sickle cell disease. if you don't know, it is an inherited blood disorder that effects red blood cells. sometimes those blood cells

monday. the latest results show households tested 18 parts per trillion of a chemical. the epa limit is 70 parts per trillion. a harvard study found a safe level is 1 part per trillion. now to decision 2016 coverage. some police officers in philadelphia are criticizing the national union for endorsing trump for president. the president of the civic league spoke out while endorsing hillary clinton. the league represents latino and asian police officers in the city. the president reacted negatively. she called trump divisive. >> you're going to be president of the united states, one of the things you need to be doing is

we have a crew there on the scene and nbc10 tim spurlong is on the way. we will keep you posted through the morning. in atlantic city, facing gun charges at a high school. they were on lockdown after learning the 15-year-old was carrying a handgun. police say they were called to find and detain the student. they later discovered a loaded gun under some bleachers outside the school. police arrested the teen. the lockdown was then lifted. nobody was hurt. some key new jersey lawmakers are researching whether to push for impeachment of governor chris christie. one lawmaker told our sister station in new york odds of that happening are 50/50. a majority of the 80 member assembly would agree to bring articles of impeachment, and then two-thirds of the senate has to vote to convict. this comes as prosecutors suggest that governor christie knew more about bridge lane
closures than he let on. christie has never been charged in bridge gate but two former allies are on trial. it caused traffic jams meant to punish the mayor for not supporting christie's re-election bid. former aid david wildstein testified creating traffic jams in 2013 was part of a plan to boost the governor's re-election. wildstein pled guilty to conspiracy. beginning with your neighborhoods now, looking at the pennsylvania suburbs here. 66 in unionville. most temperatures on the board in the 60s. mid-60s in vern.
