today. meteorologist krystal klei is tracking that cooldown. krystal. >> yeah, this morning you already can feel the difference. you step out the door, well, we're 4 degrees cooler in philadelphia than this time yesterday, 24 hours ago. 7 degrees cooler in allentown, coatesville almost 10 degrees cooler in areas like wilmington and atlantic city as well as vineland 9 degrees cooler. you will notice that difference as you step out the door. if you want to know what the actual temperatures are here they go, 60 philadelphia, 57 trenton to mt. holly, vineland as well and dover at 59 degrees. better than a couple hours ago when we saw 40s over parts of pennsylvania suburbs as well as allentown. in the afternoon just creeping into the 70s. radar and satellite for you right now it is clear and that's going to continue through today. so that's why it's such a great football forecast, sunny conditions in your afternoon. there's the showers we have our eye on, way to the west of us right now but going to be moving our direction. they move in, we get that chance

of rain. we will track that potential coming up in a few minutes. they're superheroes. both of them were just absolutely fantastic firefighters. they love their community. >> this morning many are grieving the deaths of two firefighters in wilmington. this as two more are still recovering in a hospital burn hr(t&háhp &hc we brought you the breaking news about the fire and the deaths of christopher leach and jerry fickes yesterday morning. right now state and federal investigators are working to figure out exactly what caused this blaze inside a row home. other firefighters are pbatsling for their lives. monique braxton is live at crozer-chester medical center this morning where they're being treated. monique. >> reporter: it's a pretty quiet scene here at the hospital as you can see just over my shoulder, much different than what we saw yesterday afternoon. now, the firefighters who passed

away are being hailed as heroes this morning. both with more than a decade of duty. a bugle plays, flags are at half-staff, bunting symbolizing the sadness felt in wilmington. we were at a local high school when mourners prayed and held each other closely, many relatives, lifelong friends are part of the firefighting family of had 1-year-old lieutenant chris leach and 51-year-old jerry fickes. vice president joe biden visited the fire scene as did delaware senator chris coops. >> they're superheroes. both of them were absolutely fantastic firefighters, they loved their community. >> firefighters trapped. >> reporter: investigators tell us smoke detectors woke up the family of six on lakeview road. firefighters rushed in. not knowing everyone had

escaped. as the floor became soft and collapsed under the intense heat and flames, a handful of firefighters were trapped. this morning two of the firefighters who survived are in the burn unit at crozer-chester in critical condition. two others we've learned have been treated and released. now, as far as the investigation delaware state fire marshals office and the alcohol, fab co and firearms bureau out of washington are investigating. we will be on top of it. live for now, monique braxton, nbc 10 news. you heard monique say t you can count on nbc 10 to follow this fire investigation. right now on the nbc 10 app you can learn more about the firefighters who lost their lives. new this morning philadelphia police are looking for the driver who hit and killed a man in ron hurst overnight. the car kept on going. this happened around 1:30 at castor and blye avenues, the vehicle was later found abandoned nearby. let's go to washington state

where the man wanted for shooting and killing five people at a shopping mall is under arrest. this morning we're learning more about arcan cetin he's 20 years old police captured just after 24 hours when they say he gunned down four women and a man inside a department store. take a look, this is a surveillance image of the suspect. he opened fire at a macy's cosmetics counter in burlington, washington, on friday night. the mall is just about an hour's drive from seattle. the motive for the gunfire still under clear. the fbi says as of now there is no indication it was a terrorist act, but police say they are not ruling anything out just yet. you're looking at a fifth night of protests in charlotte, north carolina. the demonstrations happened just hours after police released some of their video of the deadly shooting of a black man by a black police officer. you are looking at some of that

police video. protesters had been demanding the release of it after the officer shot and killed keith scott on tuesday. police are also sharing some details from their investigation along with pictures of marijuana and an ankle holster and a gun that they say was recovered from the scene. according to investigators lab results indicate scott's fingerprints and dna are on the weapon. the police chief says this new video, though, does not answer all questions. in other news this morning police in baltimore are looking for three gunmen after a group of eight people was shot last night. one of the victims is a three-year-old girl. all are expected to survive. the police commissioner in baltimore says the shooting happened outside of some row homes. three men moved in on the group from different directions. the commissioner is calling the violence retaliation for another shooting in the same neighborhood. now to our decision 2016 coverage.

a new abc "washington post" poll just out this morning shows a virtual dead heat between hillary clinton and donald trump. likely voters split 46% for clinton and 44% for trump. that 2 point gap remains the same in a four-way race including the libertarian and green party candidates. on the eve of the first presidential debate donald trump and hillary clinton are spending the day preparing. clinton is at her home in new york, trump is at his golf club in north jersey, the showdown is set for tomorrow night at hofstra university on long island. nbc 10's lauren mayk will be there, live at the debate site covering everything you need to know. you can count on nbc 10 for every angle of this presidential debate. our special news coverage runs tomorrow evening from 4:00 to 6:30. you will see live reports from lauren during that time. then catch our hour long debate special live at xfinity live starting at 7:00 in the evening, the debate itself is at 9:00, nbc's lester holt will moderate. you can get the full highlights

65 will be your temperature by 8:00 so by end of game you may be wanting a light jacket. in the pennsylvania suburbs 65 at your lunch hour, still the upper 60s through your early to midafternoon, thinking the high should be in the lower 70s in some parts of the suburbs. lehigh valley same situation, some parts moving into the lower 70s by this afternoon with sunny conditions across the board. in delaware also looking about 70 degrees 4:00 p.m., 71 new jersey, dropping to 62 by 8:00 and along the shore just creeping to the upper 60s right around 70 degrees for a forecast high. now, it's been a dry september, we saw rain on the 1st and 19th. we're forecasting it two more times by the end of month, we will talk more about that chance of rain coming up tuesday and i have your planner for that tailgate weather coming up. an iowa man risks his own life to save this drowning deer. the animal was trapped in swirling water in a river near

waterloo. one man tethered himself to the rail, got in the water with a life jacket and together with others watching the spectacle all hoisted the deer out of the water. it was taken to a truck. from there the animal was driven to nearby woods and set free. get ready to say good-bye to this pop up park at penn's landing, this is the last day for the spruce street harbor park. the final chance to enjoy lounging, games, brews, maybe some ice cream all along the delaware river waterfront until it returns next year. down at the shore you can get into the fall spirit, the annual fall fun fest by the bay continues today in mar gate, it runs from 11:00 until 5:00, you can enjoy music, food, boat rides and crafts for the kids. irish eyes will be smiling today on the 25th annual irish fall festival in north wildwood, it's the largest irish festival on the east coast, in fact, a quarter of a million visitors are expected to make part.

princeton at 56 degrees. not going to see a ton of warming today, only looking at highs to get around the 70s. we are looking at the forecast for the puerto rican day parade starting at lunchtime, 67 this is ben franklin parkway, 1:30, 69 degrees end of game 72 degrees -- or rather end of parade i should say. 5 to 10 miles per hour for those winds if you will be going to the parade as we move through your afternoon. hour by hour forecast now we are looking at a really wide view here because we're pretty much clear today looking at sunshine all throughout your day. very nice for football weather. look way to the west of us, though, we have that line of storms that have developed and they are going to be heading our way in a couple of days. so as we track this we go through 6:00 tonight, still in the clear, then we go overnight and into your monday morning, not yet making their way into our area, but now starting to see those showers get closer to pennsylvania.

and then we move through your monday into monday evening, there you go, 7:00 now starting to move right through central parts of pennsylvania, creeping closer to our zone overnight into early tuesday morning. so by early tuesday morning we go through the commute, 10:30 in the morning. those showers are starting to move through new jersey along the shore and that should scatter throughout the afternoon as well. tuesday it our next rain day in the forecast. here are your neighborhood forecasts for today. 74 center city, somerton 72, notice the sunny icons across the board. 71 in west chester and pennsylvania suburbs, 74 allentown. now we switch over to new jersey, delaware, same situation. we're talking 70s across the map. 71 ocean city and wilmington at 72 degrees. coming up in just a few minutes we will talk more about the forecast for the eagles game. we will see you shortly. thanks, krystal. so some folks got to walk

and bike without worrying about traffic yesterday during the philly free streets festival. the city shut down nearly 10 miles of roadway for a few hours, you see people out there literally dancing in the street, having a great time. it was all inspired by the pope's visit this time last year, you remember when all the roads were closed. supposed to be a fun event. not so for dozens of people in south philly and old city. they woke up to find their cars had been towed away, they had to clear the streets. city's deputy communications director tells nbc 10 a miscommunication led to the cars being ticketed and towed instead of just being moved. he says all tickets will be canceled and anybody who paid a towing charge will have their money refunded. do you remember google glasses? well, now snap chat is getting into the game with its video recording glasses called speck calls, the classes can record video ten seconds at a time by tapping a button on the device, the video is uploaded by bluetooth or wifi. you can get it starting later
