a cool and damp start to our weekend. crystal klei is here with the forecast. >> what a difference it makes, a few days. we have been seeing 80s, day after day. we are talking temperatures that start in the 40s and 50s and won't warm up much through the rest of today. right now, 50 degrees in allentown and 42, mt. pocono, 53, philadelphia, 54, dover. the low 50s are going to dip around sunrise and creep back to the low 50s. you can see down at the bottom of your screen with our neighborhood seven-day forecast. radar and satellite showing us the showers pumping in from the north. we have clouds, rain, going to continue seeing scattered shower for the first half of today. the clouds will clear and take with it the moisture. the cool, windy conditions will be left behind. we are going to talk more about
the rest of your saturday versus your sunday forecast coming up in a few minutes. >> krystal, thank you 5:43. breaking news, a police-involved shooting in west philadelphia with officers looking for armed men right now. monique, what are you finding out? >> i'm at 56 and over my shoulder, you can see this is a very active, fluid crime scene. there are more than a dozen pacing markings on the scene near the car. this is what we can tell you from police who are here investigating. they say they were called to this area about 4:00 this morning because residents heard gunshots. when they arrived, they saw at least two people armed with weapons. one of them motioned, appearing to move the gun, not necessarily toward police. he was shot. that's still very preliminary. still a very active investigation here. right now, police tell us they are looking for two gunmen in
the vicinity of 56th and haggerford. we can tell you that neighbors have come outside. they are just watching. no one is wanting to comment at this point. one person was hit by gunfire from a police officer. that person is now at the presbyterian hospital in stable condition. there are several commanders on the scene in white shirts. the forensic unit has arrived to process the scene. they are going down an alleyway here behind the library. the library branch. they are also checking throughout the neighborhood for those two gunmen believed to be still on the loose. so, for now, still a very active investigation. one man shot by a police recovering over at the presbyterian hospital. a few witnesses here on the scene that we are going to try to talk to. live for now from west philadelphia, monique braxton, nbc 10 news. new this morning, a crash in philadelphia's germantown
section, sent two police officers to the hospital. the officers were in an unmarked car when another vehicle hit them at germantown and high street around 3:00 a.m. the officers were treated for my yor injuries. authorities tell us the driver of the other car is suspected of driving under the influence. from our south jersey bureau, a person was hit by a car while walking along route 73 in maple shade, burlington, county. this happened around 3:00. we are working to find out more details about the accident, including the condition of that victim. >> decision, 2016, the push for pennsylvania is stronger than ever with both major nominees, donald trump and hillary clinton, once again touring the keystone state. you'll be head tog the polls in just 17 days from now. voter registration deadlines in our region have all passed. p clinton and her running mate, tim kaine, campaign at the university of pennsylvania this evening. you are looking at the democratic ticket in philadelphia back in july.
tonight, clinton will focus on her economic agenda as she tries to nail down vote ns our region. her visit comes on the heels of trump's visit to bucks county last night. he doubled down on the fact that the elec is rigged. kaine commented on that while stumping for votes on penn state. >> he is setting up an effort to challenge the legitimacy of the electoral outcome. the best way to defeat that is to make the margin as big as possible. >> kaine said this has been an election season of surprises. he says voters can't take anything for granted and they have to get to the polls. who won the debate? donald trump rallied supporters in bucks county last night. the republican nominee claimed victory in the final presidential debate. he also repeated his claim that the election is rigged, the economy, the second amendment and immigration reform god
cheers from the trump crowd in newtown last night. polls showed trump trailing democrat hillary clinton in pennsylvania by margins that continue to widen. at the rally, trump supporters said they are still with him, despite lewd comments he made about women and alglegations of sexual misconduct which he denies. >> i see more young women, mothers, grandmothers here with a passion. >> some of the comments that trump has made have been racist and unfair. at the end of the day, i can't vote for hillary. >> thousands arrived hours before the rally in newtown. today, trump will lay out plans for his first 100 days in office at a rally in gettysburg. authorities are testing a white powdered substance found in aler that forced an evacuation of hillary clinton's campaign headquarters in brooklyn. authorities say the unknown substance arrived in a business

wrong. you may be able to take legal action. here is what we learned from a local lawyer who represents clients that are suing after they receive such tickets. he said, they can pull you over but only state police can ticket you. the lawyer told us there has been no speed enforcement agreement between the two agencies since 2012. one client challenged a speeding ticket in court and won. >> most people wouldn't question it. i think most people assume if they are being pulled over, the police officer has the authority to do that. >> they shouldn't be doing that. that's not their job. >> you don't want people to be breaking the law. it is like a 50/50. >> we reached out to philadelphia police and the city. both said they could not comment because of legal cases over the ticket. >> there is a problem with the state investigation into the deadly new jersey transit train crash in hoboken. railroad executives failed to show up for a meeting with
lawmakers yesterday. the nbc 10 investigators found out a joint legislative committee was supposed to hear testimony from new jersey transit executive director thursday night. the agency canceled because of a meeting with federal railroad officials. those officials confirmed the meeting took place but said they would have gladly rescheduled it. >> the fact that director santur or those in a position to answer questions isn't here is disrespectful to a committee that will not be trifled with. >> lawmakers said they will use their subpoena power to get new jersey transit executives to testify next month. good morning to you and happy saturday. i'm danny úpommels from csn. four m eagles are listed as questionable. >> the computer, trying to get
to sports early. we have to talk about the conditions outside. we are starting out those showers that are moving along throughout parts of pennsylvania, new jersey and just clipping into delaware as well. now, unfortunately, i would like for us to shove on out and we would be done with it. we are going to see these showers into the early part of your afternoon as well. let's track the rain as it sits currently. right now, we are looking to parts of delaware, mostly scattered showers through wilmington. a small pocket of heavier rain moving through. some showers over the delaware bay into new jersey. along the shores, mostly light rain in the southern parts of new jersey. we are seeing spots of more moderate rainier vineland. nothing terribly strong. you will need the wind shooeld wipers and umbrella if you wanted to get out and do a few things early on. there are the showers you see through philadelphia. they are going to continue through new jersey, through philadelphia and right up through abbington, king of prussia. no breaks in the rain. pretty steady across our region
this morning. as we move along through your morning, on top of the rain, you are also going to notice those winds are really starting to kick up. they are going to hold tight to the forecast the whole weekend, specially our saturday. thanks to a cold front that has already passed. here is the hour by hour with our rain potential. this is what we are seeing this morning. it might be a little too heavy here. it is doing pretty well where the rain is currently. that's through 6:30 this morning. we go along, start to move the showers out by around 9:00 a.m. maybe some break for areas like delaware and southern new jersey. this isn't necessarily the end of the rain. it looks like we may see a little bit regenerate around your lunch hour and move out here early on. 2:00 to 3:00, is when we will start to shove the rain out entirely. that will move to the north/northeast through 6:00, meaning right before sunset, we may see some sun breaking through, right around that 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. time slot, some sun mixing in as the clouds start to
