soun and managed to divert the counterterrorism force s from te main heart of the battle in mosul to that area and now attacked rutbah. they launched several different suicide vehicle devices in that town and managed to occupy security forces far away from the front. and so as the pressure comes to bare on isis in mosul, we're going to see more of these diversionary tactics. they're brutal and rather ingenious. >> thank you. at this moment a man hunt is underway for this man. this is michael dale vance jr. who police say was last seen. >> some 8 and half hours ago. he shot two fleepolice officers later seen shooting a woman with an ak-47 before taking off. another suspect involved in the shooting has been arrested.

however, vance remains at large and authorities are asking for anyone with information to come forward. a tragic story out of california. 13 people are dead and 31 more injured following a massive accident involving a charter bus and tractor trailer in california. it was heading to los angeles when it slammed in the back of a travel trailer. the bus was going so fast it went in for about 15 feet. the bus driver, dwreet be identified, was among those killed. here with more. >> reporter: investigator scouring the twisted wreckage after this tour bus slammed into the back of a big rig. firefighters pulling victims from the wreckage just after 5:00 a.m. headed west towards los angeles and rear ended a semitruck on interstate 10 in palm springs.

disgraceful. police in california are searching for suspect that opened fire on one of their own during a car chase. >> shots fired. >> those dramatic moments you can see captured on the officer's dash cam. a suspect in the front passenger seat fired nine times and moments later, four more shots were fired, shatting the wind shield of the officer's car. a civilian in the officer's car part of a ride along program was injured injured. the officer was not. they ditched the vehicle and a search around the vehicle produced a gun and other evidence. they hope this will help them catch the suspect. it was an nfl show down that had fans pulling out their hair. and both teams failed at their

right now on "nbc 10 news today," sentencing day for kathleen kane. she was once pennsylvania's top prosecutor. by day's end she could be headed to jail after being found guilty of perjury. roughed up and robbed. a philadelphia man says a man an a woman barged into his home, knocked him out of his wheelchair and stole everything they could find, including paper towels. and a win is a win. it wasn't the prettiest victory but the eagles outlasted sam bradford and the minnesota vikings in front of a pumped up home crowd. nbc 10 news starts now. good monday morning. this is nbc 10. i'm tracy davidson. >> i'm pamela osborne. let's get right to meteorologist bill henley with his first alert neighborhood forecast. it's a look at conditions right where you live. good morning, bill. >> good morning, pamela.

we're looking at a dry view of philadelphia, boathouse row. the camera is shaking a little bit. that's a pretty big breeze. see some showers moving through harrisburg. look this, parts of bucks county, upperç bucks county an upper central bucks county into new jersey getting a few light rain showers. the showers to the west moving into western berks county right now. these will be falling apart as they swing into the area. they're blowing into town. this will move out. that will be done. no more showers for the rest of the day. first thing this morning you'll likely see rain drops in parts of the area. temperatures warmer than normal. that's 10 degrees above normal. southwesterly winds at 15 miles an hour. it's a breezy one. the winds will turn more westerly and keep things cool. winds gusting to 30 miles an hour in philadelphia. 62 degrees, 61 degrees and windy for the suburbs. look at new jersey, up to 61 degrees. while in the lehigh valley, 59 degrees, the high temperature with a good deal of sunshine and just a few passing clouds.
