donald trump rushed off stage in reno, nevada, after someone in the crowd yelled gun. this morning we're hearing from the man taken out in handcuffs while trump says nothing will stop him. hillary clinton making plenty of noise in philadelphia. a concert last night, a surprise appearance today and a massive election eve rally planned for tomorrow all in philly. we'll have the details ahead. will we have slow commute tomorrow? we're continuing to follow septa strike and stalled negotiations. good morning, this is "nbc 10 news today" i'm rosemary

connors. it's 7:00 on sunday, not 8:00 in case you didn't set clocks back. more on the forecast with meteorologist krystal klei. you enjoyed that hour. >> i got some sleep. you see your oven or microwave and you think, oh, no, i'm late. you're good. the clocks are back an hour. a nice sunny shot. boathouse row. very nice to start the morning. in fact, temperatures warmer than yesterday morning. no 30s. lancaster 45. those are some of the cooler numbers on the map. wildwood near 56. 51 in philadelphia and dover at 50. so very nice mild start to the year. mild afternoon as well. we're going to see temperatures bump up a couple degrees above average. average at least in philadelphia at 60. radar and satellite clear now. spotty clouds throughout the day but mostly sunshine.

we'll talk more about how the sun lasts and may see rain in the forecast coming up. the secret service says no weapon was involved in the incident that briefly disrupted donald trump's rally in reno nevada last night. trump was speaking at his third campaign stop of the day when someone in the crowd yelled "gun." secret service agents whisked him off stage and that's when police took somebody in the audience out in handcuffs. that protester taken out in handcuffs. he says he didn't yell anything and was only holding a sign. >> he's very dangerous to the country. so i just came with a sign. i literally just had one sign that said "republicans against trump." >> secret service did search him. officials haven't said if charges were filed against him. trump returned to the stage for the rally. he issued a statement thanking

secret service. poll has hillary clinton taking lead from trump, 48 compared to trump's 43%. at the beginning of the week you may remember the two were in a dead heat in the poll. hillary clinton in philadelphia once again this morning. we're learning about an unscheduled stop near lasalle university. as we get those details we'll pass them onto you. ♪ clinton is keeping the spotlight on pennsylvania. at a free concert with katy perry at the center. afterwards debra messing spoke out about the democratic nominee. >> the reason i'm here is because you all are the most important people in the united states right now. you will determine who our next president is going to be. >> tonight it is a celebration for everything you've already done to help us and all that we will do together. >> the clinton campaign said

their volunteers are working to get millennials and african-americans to the polls come tuesday. clinton will return to philadelphia on monday for a rally on independence mall with president and mrs. obama as well as bon jovi. nbc 10 will bring you live coverage of that rally during our special campaign countdown show monday night at 7:00. plus we'll be in new york city this week at campaign headquarters for both candidates. at clinton's headquarters in brooklyn and erin coleman at trump's headquarters, trump tower on fifth avenue. chuck todd, "meet the press," will be joining us live analyzing key issues for both candidates and breaking down winning numbers as we head into the final hours of the campaign. we will be talking to him live about 7:50 this morning and can you watch him on "meet the press" at 10:30. philadelphia police are

searching for hit-and-run driver who crashed into an officer's cruiser. the officer was trying to pull the car over in pennington when he slammed into the cop cruiser. the officer had to be treated for minor injuries. one man is dead after he was hit by septa train on the high-speed line near bryn mawr station. no passengers or crew on board the were injured. we continue to cover the ongoing septa strike. it's now in its sixth day. negotiations didn't go anywhere yesterday. late last night union released a statement saying septa's attempt at legal injunction is, quote, hail mary pass to get around bargaining. nbc 10's monique braxton live in center city where negotiations have been taking place. monique, this weekend all has been pretty quiet. a lot of people going back to

work tomorrow morning to know if they are going to have an easy or difficult time getting there. >> reporter: that's right, rosemary. right now leaders of twu waking up preparing to head to the picket lines. i know some folks are going to church praying for a resolution to the strike. also here outside the hotel, we're awaiting word on if and when negotiations will resume. it has been almost one week since close to 5,000 members of transport union walked off the job. sticking points include caps on pension, scheduling of breaks and health benefits. their president released a statement which says in part, "we can't get anywhere at the bargaining table because septa has pinned their hopes on getting an injunction to end the strike." because pennsylvania is key in the presidential election, one union is attempting to hold voters -- help voters get to the

polls. >> we're going to have advance and cars all over the city. so we're hoping twu will resolve before tuesday. if they don't we'll continue to support our sisters at wu. there will be no one in philadelphia who wants to ride to a poll that won't be to express their right to vote. >> also said matter which party you are aligned with, he will help you get out vote. at a union rally we also spoke with governor wolf who urged an end to the strike. tomorrow set ashes lawyers hope a judge will agree, halt the strike and order workers from transiting a's largest union back to their job on election day. no doubt we're going to be monitoring all activity here at the sheraton hotel if and when the union begins to sit down at the bargaining table with negotiators. we'll let you know. live in center city, monique braxton, nbc 10 news. >> thanks for that.

first alert weather. >> welcome back. great fall day we have moving forward today, not only the morning but into the afternoon. morning we're looking at temperatures that are warmer than yesterday morning. and with that, mostly clear conditions, some clouds overhead. 51 in philadelphia, the time is 7:12 in the morning. looking at conditions warming up to upper 50s through the lunch time here. noon 14 mile-per-hour wind. we will stay on the breezy side through your afternoon. temperatures moving into the low 60s midafternoon. notice now by 4:00 we're going to gradually see that temperature slipping. that's cause daylight savings time has come to an end meaning we start to see that sun set earlier than we were before. new jersey 52, current temperature at noon 58 degrees. same situation though. sunny to mostly sunny, breezy and should get near those low 60s for forecast high. low- to mid-60s for high temperatures in delaware. you see that temperature at 61 by lunch time through 2:00 p.m.

and sunny as well. coming up, a closer look at the rest of your sunday and details on your election day. work starts tomorrow morning on two bridges in center city. penndot rebuilding 22nd and 21st street bridges. crews will work 9:00 a.m. to 3:p.m. to get bridges ready for construction. penndot will keep two lanes open on the bridges for work but as you can imagine it will get backed up. construction ahead of schedule but won't be finished until fall of 2018. another traffic heads up this morning. you won't be able to take the ben franklin bridge for a few hours today unless you're running it. that's coming up. plus invited back. firster told a local singer she couldn't perform national anthem at the team opener. now we're learning she will take center court at a game in december. we'll tell you what she'll be wearing this time. president obama is criticizing pat toomey for a new ad praising the senate candidate for his stand on gun control. toomey in a tight contest with democrat katie mcginty for u.s. senate seat. toomey campaigning northeast philly and suburbs. his race could help determine control of the senate. meantime president obama said the ad highlighting toomey's courage does not represent the real candidate. the president attacked toomey for not having the to say if he was voting for donald trump. toomey has yet to respond. he is keeping the heat his opponent calling katie mcginty a rubber stamp for democratic presidential nominee hillary clinton.

as for katie mcginty, she was out and about yesterday, she was in bucks county with vice president joe biden. the race the most expensive of all time. more $143 million have gone to advertising according to center for responsive politics. a philadelphia labor union is reminding members to get out the vote. yesterday laborers international union hosted this rally in spring garden. >> there we go. wanted to make you wait a couple minutes. eagles have returned to their winning ways against giants but birds will be without one of the best run stoppers for a third straight game. bennie logan didn't make the trip up the turnpike.

upper 40s in areas like andorra, chestnut hill, right at 50. we continue with low 50s, right at 52 pretty constant here. these numbers as we go into the afternoon are going to bump into those low 60s again just like yesterday. so if you miss out on getting outdoors yesterday, myself included, days the day to get outdoors because there's going to be such nice conditions, sunny conditions as well. radar and satellite showing us live here. we've got rain over areas like boston just clipping new england here. but for us it's clear, just a few spotty clouds and that's it. you see those thicker clouds to the southwest of us, way to the southwest of us. we're in this great zone right now. high pressure in the area going to keep us clear throughout today and actually clear over the next couple of days as well. your neighborhood forecast, 60s. 60, cookstown, bethlehem 61 throughout lehigh valley. we may see spotty clouds. that's about it. suburbs same situation.

phoenix 0, newtown sitting at 60 as well and dropping into philadelphia those low 60s. 61 byberry and fairmount. 62, some may stay lower, trenton 59 for forecast high temperature and dry for the shore. looking at breezy conditions along the shore, 62 avalon. over to delaware 63 and dover 64 as well as rehoboth beach. looking at temperatures bumping up closer to mid-60s, something we saw yesterday as well. a loot at election day forecast, close open by 7:00 a.m., most of us upper 30s to low 40s at this point. it's cool but it's dry. get out ahead of work, if you good go on lunch break, low 50s to 60s on tuesday. by 8:00 when most polls start to close, we're at temperatures in the mid to upper 50s.

changes in just a bit. >> thanks, krystal. a woman in newcastle county is recovering while being shot while she was sleeping. here is the story. police tell us a stray bullet went through her house and struck her. investigators found other bullets at homes and cars newark. the woman went to the hospital. police are still investigating this incident. right now they are offering a $20,000 reward for anybody who has information that to an arrest. new new crews are busy rescuing three people and a baby from a house fire. it started on manton street, all three in stable condition. investigators continue to look for the cause of this fire. if the septa strike continues into tomorrow, it's the start of another workweek with a crawling commute. the strike isn't just impacting people who ride the buses, trolleys or subways, it's creating clogged roads and

philadelphia, more obamas in philadelphia tomorrow. she's headed to detroit. sheet she's going to be back in philadelphia. she was in cleveland on friday. they are very, very concerned about the intensity of that, of the african-american vote. for trump, his final strategy appears to be more about searching for another state to try to see if he can get to 270 electoral votes. he may have stumbled on a new opportunity in the state of michigan. there appears to be something happening in the battle there. >> you mentioned, chuck, of course pennsylvania. we have seen a lot of both candidates in the last few weeks, few days. is pennsylvania still up for grabs or do we have an idea of who will win here? >> you know, i'm a skeptic in that we've been here before where republicans talk about being able to flip pennsylvania. i think it's going to be close. but remember, a four- or five-point race is a close race

and at the same time decisive enough for those electoral votes to perhaps stay in the democratic column. it would take a dramatic drop in african-american turnout in philadelphia coupled with trump suddenly doing much better in the suburbs in philadelphia than he's been polling for him to pull the upset. i'm skeptical. i think it's close but i definitely still think it's an advantage for clinton. >> chuck, i've got you for like another minute and a half. this the last time we're going to talk before the election on tuesday. your thoughts as a whole, everything you've seen this campaign season? >> i can't help but having gerald ford's favorite phase in my head, our long national nightmare is finally coming to an end. one of our polsters offered a quick piece of analysis on final "wall street journal" poll that will be debuting on "meet the press." he noted essentially this was the election of fear. you had two campaigns that ran
