she said she wants to continue his legacy. >> i just wish that i had more time. i'm thankful for the time that i did have with him. >> mary mohamed bravely speaking about officer randolph holder. her high school sweetheart, her best friend taken from her. ever. >> the couple were scheduled to close on a home next week and were planning to get married living the american dream. tuesday she said good-bye to him as she always did. >> he said i love you, i'll see you later and he never came back and he's never going to come back. >> the nypd harbor unit recovered the weapon used to kill officer holder in east harlem. >> you can only maybe see 12 to 24 inches out in front of them

1,300 new officers. they said nyc is not on any high crime lists, the governor does not know what he's talking about. happening today, new legislation will be released to cut the number of guns on the street. carl schumer and amy schumer called on people to pull back on gun laws. change. >> amy wants to use her voice to create the missing piece of the puzzle, a public ground well that finally helps us successfully pass legislation. >> amy schumer has voiced her concern for gun control since this sum mer. police are looking for clues
in the case of a man who disappeared over the weekend. this is 87-year-old julio gonzales. he was last seen living his home on west 46th street in manhattan around 6:45 on saturday morning. he may have been headed to a senior scene in queens where he volunteers. if you see him call police. police are searching for a gunman after a shooting at an upscale house in parties. matt cosar has the story. >> on the sidewalk near the party house officers handcuffed a man and woman and took them into custody following a domestic dispute. one come took the woman's fluffy dog. >> she lives with her mom in this house, the one where two people were shot sunday morning during a house party. >> i think it's a disgrace. it's a good niebd
>> police say a gunman shot two men in their stomachs as they were 27 and 23. it's uncleerp-- unclear why. on the door. >> you never see this. >> maria has lived here for 35 years and said she's never seen anything like that joining the chorus of angry neighbors. they were renting out rooms on air b and b. photos show a spacious home with hardwood floors and stain less steel appliances. >> as police continue their search for the gun men neighbors say they're praying for the victim, one of which is in critical condition.
five people are dead, one missing after a whale watching boat sank off the west coast of canada. there were 27 people on board. eight people have been hospitalized. the vessel made a may day call. when crews arrived they found the vessel partially submerged 8 miles from shore. hurricane patricia and other storms may be history but left their mark in parts of texas leaving behind more than a foot of water. the flood waters are beginning to recede in houston texas but two dozen cars were left stranded yesterday. there's been no fatalities or major damage since patricia made land fall in mexico on friday. rallies to cheer on the mets take place today ahead of game 1

officer holder had dreams of one day becoming a sergeant within the nypd. as for that gathering, they will take place city wide at precincts with community leader and police joining together at 7:00 p.m. janelle burrell, cbs 2 news. >> it's wake is scheduled for tomorrow at the greater allen ame in jamaica queens. his burial will be wednesday. police are looking for the two men caught by cameras attacking two others on 43rd avenue yesterday. they were trying to rob one of the men of his gold chain. one of the victims was shot in the stomach hospital. new this morning, police have released surveillance images of two men being called persons of interest in a

the raid on an isis compound in which u.s. commander joshua wheeler died. >> a joint operation between u.s. and special kurdish forces rescued 70 hostages. elizabeth palmer reports. >> in the video captured by a helmet camera dazed and terrified prisoners jolt from their terror. you can hear constant gunfire as curds and americans battle isis fighters in which sergeant master wheeler was killed ed. >> there's a glimpse of a huge isis flag and jail cells built inside the house of a tribal leader. >> when the prisoners first came out, 69 of them all, they were patted down by curds. you can hear there's american back up. >> these are not the prisoners
the curds had hoped to find 20 of their own fighters who were captured and paraded by isis back in february. as soon as the raid was finished a coalition aircraft flew over the compound and destroyed it with a bomb. in the morning video posted by isis shows the wreckage and causalities. in all isis lost 20 men. >> along with the 69 prisoners the raid also captured six live isis fighters who will be a very valuable source of information for the americans and the curds as they try to build up a more complete picture of how the group is structured and operates. elizabeth palmer cbs news. now to life after sandy the senate is proposing legislation that would require fema make all
