right now many are hoping a 7- month old baby and the woman who was watching him will manage to survive a horrific crash that killed the driver. police say they think drugs may be to blame.jordan burgess

investigation and why it's amazing that baby even has a shot at surviving. surviving. right now fort thomas police say when that driver crashed here.. a witness saw the baby thrown 30 feet in the air from the vehicle.they ran over to him.. feared what they would find.. picked him up.. and he started crying in his arms. that baby and another woman are at last check in critical condition after being thrown from the mangled car that crashed here on i-275 near 471. that crash killed michael gilliam.. who was just a few weeks shy of his 48th birthday. a fourth person in the car is expected to survive.police say the driver.. who they believe was gilliam.. simply lost control.. went off the right side of the interstate and rolled the car.officers say they found needles inside so they believe drugs are behind what happened.we reached out to the brother of michael. he says michael has had addiction issues in the past... but

everything is quiet as we head out the door this morning. skies are mostly clear and temperatures will drop into the low 30s. while we start the day with little cloud cover, clouds start to build during the day as we get ready for our next round of heavy rain in the tri-state. the majority of tuesday will be dry as highs climb to the low 50s. rain chances begin late tuesday night and are more likely overnight. the overnight rain showers will be heavy at times and widespread heading into the wednesday morning commute. wednesday will be a wet, soggy day in the ohio valley. rain will be heavy at times, and we could see 1.5" to 2" of rain out of this next system. temperatures will reach the low 50s on wednesday, with breezy winds from the northeast. there's a chance we could see some minor flooding due to all this rain. as the system passes to our northeast, the backside of the circulation will usher in much colder air thursday morning. leftover moisture will likely produce light snow and snow showers on thursday. plus, strong winds will gust to 40 mph, reducing visibility. currently, it looks like light snow will start early on thursday. but with the mild weather and warm ground, accumulation will be difficult. there's a potential for around an inch or a bit more of snow. whether it sticks is the question right now and we continue to watch

new this morning - it can spread like wildfire! that's what butler county health officials are warning all of us about the norovirus. now they're working to stop a sudden outbreak at miami university.jordan burgess is tracking that effort. we're told miami university is getting a - quote: "deep cleaning". the environmental services department is focusing on the residence halls and dining areas.
