part of the night underwater, looking for a car that plunged into the ohio river yesterday. 9 on your side's jordan burgess joins us live with the latest. latest. you can see how dark it is out here. so recovery efforts have been called off.but right now that car is thought to be sitting at the bottom of the river here not far from the bridge.but what hasn't been said is if anyone was inside. we want to show you another look from chopper 9 at this crash here on the combs hail bridge on i-275. campbell county's police chief says this was a 12 car crash that involved 4 different collisions.at some point.. it's unknown exactly how.. a car went over the east bound side of the bridge. it reportedly floated a short distance before falling to the bottom of the river.boone county crews used sonar technology to locate the vehicle. and worked for hours to see if anyone was inside. a few hours ago.we asked them what it will take to recover that vehicle and anyone who

the kentucky house is expected to vote on a budget proposal today to send to the senate.it significantly pared down governor matt bevin's proposed 650 million dollars in spending cuts, eliminating all the cuts to public colleges and universities.it also funds the state's pension system without borrowing money. the national guard is out helping people trapped in floodwaters near new orleans. louisiana activated more than 11-hundred guardsman and women for this flood. they say they're putting all their resources to good use during this emergency. being able to actually get out there and help individuals who need it and weren't really ready for the flood makes a big difference. that's what we're here for. i wish there was something that i can do to

new this morning...the names of those involved in a shooting in russellville have been released by police. police.officials say 34-year-old joseph harris, of lewisburg, pulled into a mcdonalds parking lot walked up to his former girlfriend, 28-year-old amanda harper of russellville and shot her while she was waiting in the drive-thru line.. she's listed in critical condition.harris ran to a nearby store.police tried to stop him. he pulled a gun on them and they shot him three times.he was pronounced dead at the scene. refusing business in the commonwealth based on your religious beliefs.if a bill is passed in kentucky, businesses could invoke their religious beliefs to refuse service to gay, lesbian or transgender customers.it just passed the

nim"you're watching good morning tri-state at 6 on 9 on your side!" health officials are worried that stopping blood collections in puerto rico due to the zika virus will cause a public health crisis there. there. a jacksonville, florida blood bank is shipping blood products to puerto rico in efforts to ward off the crisis. the food and drug administration has not approved a test to screen blood donations for the zika virus. so a questionnaire is being given to donors asking about a person's risks of having the disease. "there are people that are depending on us and everybody needs to get out there and roll up their sleeves and donate." donate." health officials say one pint of blood donated can help save up to three lives. today is national kick butts day... and it's dedicated to
