smith in milwaukee. milwaukee.the unrest has sparked anger on social media - with dozens of people posting threatening messages toward the officer. officer.cbs 58's kyle aevermann joins us live from district seven headquarters with the story. kyle? 3 one post says the officer must pay for what he did. another - hoping he burns in the afterlife.the threats are so serious that police are watching his home. milwaukee police chief ed flynn says that officer is staying with another city because of fears for his safety.in a statement - m-p-d tells us they are aware of some general threats against our officers... and are investigating.criminal justice expert brian dorow says the safety of the officer is their number one priority at this point.he al went onto say most police departments have teams devoted to social media - searching - and acting - on threatening posts 3 brian dorow, criminal justice expert: "it depends on the

the public's help. tasha bunch hopes someone has information that will lead to an arrest in the case. cbs 58's julie parise is live in the newsroom with what she has to say. julie? 3 kate and jessica -- tyann bunch was crossing the street on milwaukee's north side tuesday night when that accident happened.her mother tells us -- no one in her family has slept since then. police say the 22-year-old tyann bunch was crossing fond du lac near oak street when she was hit. the driver drove off. police do believe the car involved in the crash was stol she's heartbroken.she is begging for the driver to come forward -- or for anyone with information to speak up. tasha bunch, victim's mother: "they took something a part of me. a part of me. yall took a part of me that im gonna truly miss of my daughter. i just want them to turn themselves in. if anybody know them turn them in if anybody know them turn them in please...justice needs to be served. coming up at 5:30 -- the mother's message for the person responsible. a woman accused of murdering heex-boyfriend in his kenosha home is expected to be extradited back to wisconsin from seattle. this morning donna matthews is still in the king county jail in washington state. she waived extradition and bail has been denied. kenosha police say she shot michael gayan and left him for dead. his decomposed body was brother derrik matthews has also been charged in the murder... facing first degree intentional homicide. officials in racine county are investigating two deat connected to a new synthetic drug that's available online. online.it'sn a knowu-47-770. it's similar to heroin--- but ?more potent? and can ?more easily? lead to overdoses. addiction specialists say... the drugs are made in china.. 1:09-19 "some of these are touted as way to get off of

people have been forced to leave their homes.more than 33- thousand homes and businesses are in danger. 3 from burning trees to a burning ship!more than 500 passengers and crew members had to get off a cruise ship about a mile off puerto rico's north coast after a fire started on board. board.it happened yesterday on the "carribbean fantasy cruise and ferry ship."the coast guard says.... all passengers and crew got off okay-- no serious injuries. officials say... the fire was bung was sounded. 3 officials are warning people to stay away from the kalamazoo river ...after a major sewage spill. spill.heavy rains and an incorrectly set sensor at the water treatment plant...caused an overflow that spilled into the river.city workers estimate it was more than 572- thousand-gallons of partially treated wastewater.kalamazoo's environmental services are now testing the water for e-coli. 3 we begin with breaking news on milwaukee's north side. firefighters are on the scene of a house fire near 33rd and h. hadley.it broke out around five o'clock this morning. right now there are no reports of injuries .we have a crew on the scene and will we have a crew on the scene and will bring you details as soon as they're available. 3 3 community members and police are coming together to find solutions to keep the peace in milwaukee.this comes just days after ?chaos in the city?... following a ?deadly? officer- involved shooting. shooting.community members met with police and sheriff's deputies... at the "boys and girls club" in sherman park last night.they talked about ideas... to stop the violence. the end goal--- help young people find a job... further their education... and give them ?hope?--- something to look forward to. 3 meanwhile--- the president of the sherman park ?neighborhood association? says... he's
