we begin with developing news this morning out of downtown milwaukee. police are investigating a shooting that happened just two hours ago on old world third street and wells. that's a busy area... especially once the morning commute gets underway...and people start heading to work. work.cbs 58's julie parise joins us live with the details. that shooting happened just down the street, right outside the victim was able to drive himself here, where he flagged down a police car which took him to the hospital.he is currently being treated for non life threatening injuries. take a look at this video we just shot of the ongoing investigation. you can see police putting down evidence markers here on old world third.police tell us a 34 year old man was involved in some kind of argument on the

extent of his injuries -- but we know he was able to run down the street to get the attention of the officer. police tell us this investigation is ongoing.stay with us for more as this story develops throughout the morning. 3 3 new this morning--- a fire overnight at a storage business in elkhorn. most of the storage units are n located on nathan land and "deere" road. the flames started around 10:30 last night.it took ?multiple? departments to get them out.no one was hurt. the cause of the fire remains under investigation. 3 the green and gold come away with a win... during their second preseason game last night against the raiders... but as you can see here.. news not all good.. as quarterback brett hundley suffers an injury.cbs 58's earl arms has

your one goal in preseason: stay healthy. brett hunley, though, unable to do that as he left in the second quarter re-agrivating his ankle injury the same injury that kept him out last week in cleveland and the one he's been dealing with through training camp. coach: same injury as the first time but they don't think it's as bad as the originalarms: maybe not as serious as the first injury.. but the back-up quarterback being helped off the field from the starting quarterback going into halftime. player second year player.. has an opporuntiy to be our number 2 quarterback. so these are valuable reps.. but hey, injuries are a part of the game. arms: brett hunley's night still not bad, 5 of 7 throwing for 67 yards on the night. packers off today so they'll revaluate his status tomorrow when the packers head back to the practice field. in green bay. earl arms cbs 58 news this morning. the packers now fly to santa

3 3 3 good news for packers fans... the pro-football hall of fame is giving refunds to those who bought tickets to the cancelled pre-season game in canton.fans will get back the face-value of their tickets, fees ?and? one-night hotel accommodations.fans will also get four tickets to the hall of fame museum.the victory comes after at least four fans filed suitover the debacle.the august 7th game -- between green bay and indianapolis -- was cancelled after hardened paint damaged parts of the playing field. at daybreak this morning the city of brookfield will once again return to aerial mosquito abatement using a helicopter. weather permitting clark

management will begin treating 580 acres of public and private wetlands tracts in the fox river coridor and in wirth park. the reason? increased mosito larve counts in the area. area.the city says they'll use a product called.. "vectolex c-g".. they y they will not be using it in the city. for more information go to our website cbs 58 dot-com. 3 community leaders are warning of more unrest in milwaukee... if the body cam footage isn't released from the officer involved shooting that touched members of the the aclu, coaltion for justice and wisconsin jobs now were unite din their request yesterday during a press conference. they say authorities should first show the footage to the family... then release it to the public.the wisconsin d-o-j is in charge of the investigation, and says it's not prepared to release any of the video evidence right now. 0-15 without transparency and the release of the body cam video we fear the unrest that

be greater than we saw last weekend. milwaukee can not continue more civil unrest. unrest. milwaukee police chief ed flynn says the video is mostly silent because of an audio delay when switching on the body camera. 3 federal officers from alcohol tobacco and firearms were out sifting through thte rubble of one of the eight businesses burned during the unrest last weekend. they used a backhoe to remove large debris at the o'reilly's auto parts store on fond du lac avenue. collecting evidence for law enforcement. a 10-thousand dollar reward is offered for information that leads to the arrests and conviction of those responsible. the state department of justice is asking for help to better understand the nts before the officer-involved shooting that sparked the unrest in sherman park. park.the d-o-j set up an online tip-forfor anyone to submit inrmation.they're asking people to submit facts -- not speculation or hersay. we've posted a link on our

man are returning to court today. just last month an appeals court ruled morgan geyser and anissa weier will be tried as adults.they're lawyers told cbs 58 they're interested in seeking an appeal to the state supreme court but they'll have to come up with new evidence or reasoning if they expect the justices to take up the case. we hope to learn more about that during a status conference ina waukesha county courtroom this afternoon. if convicted the girls could see a maximum 60 years in prison. 3 police say theives are stealcr courses... and it is costing their victims thousands of dollars.there are reports of thefts at courses in new berlin, north prairie, grafton, and mot pleasant. and police believe they're all connected.the thieves look for unlocked cars in the course parking lot, grab credit cards, then charge thousands on those cards. take a good look at these photos... police suspect these people used the stolen cards. if you recgonize them... call the ozaukee county sheriff's office. the betty brinn children's museum... is making sure kids have the supplies they need

contained. more than 82- thousand people in san bernardino county have been ordered to leave their homes. officials say... weather and dry conditions are making the fire ?unpredictable.?more than 15-hundred personnel are on the scene fighting the flames. they're using more than 100 fire engines... 10 air tankers... and 17 helicopters. 3 now to another disaster--- this one in southeastern louisi. louisiana.flooding has damaged 40-thousand homes.this could lead to the state's ?biggest housing crisis?... since hurricane louisiana have flood insurance. officials say.... in this time of hardship... families are helping each other cope ...and it's ?not? going unnoticed. number of cases in the city to 35.florida health officials were considering making miami beach a zika transmission zone. so far, they have not.many worry that would be a huge blow to the 24- billion-dollar-a-year tourism industry there. active transmissions are still only in the wynwood nieghborhd. officials are urging residents in the area to spray themselves and their clothes with mosquito repellent. 3 a hepatitis outbreak in haii has a lot of people looking to t the vaccine. the department of health is advising anyone who dined at (n-key) genki sushi restaurants on kauai in the last two weeks to get a vaccination.it's believed tainted scallops are the likely source of the outbreak. but health officials want anyone who visited the restaurants, whether thy ate these scallops or not ... to get vaccinated.over the last two days, hundreds have listened to that warning .... creating up to an hour-long wait at some pharmacies and clinics. investigatn is ongoing.stay with us for more as this story develops throughout the morning.live in milwaukee julie parise cbs 58 news. also developing this morning... a 42-year-old is dead after shooting in a police station parking lot. lot.it happened just before 6:30 last night at the district six station on 27th near oklahoma..police say the 42 year year old victim was outside the police station and got into an argument with two men who were in a parked van.. during the argumt, we're told one of the men in the van... pulled out a ndgun and shot the victim. that man and his friend,then went inside the station and turned themselves and the gun into police. the victim was taken

today for a competency hearing. hearing.23-year old jasmine ray is challenging her intial competency ruling.ray wanted to plead not guilty by reason of insanity... but a doctor's report didn't support that. another report stated she ?is mentally competent. she is charged with two counts of reckless homicide.we will get a decision when she appears in court at 10 this morning. an new organization is trying to spread the message of ?hope and positivity? to young people."your circumstances don't have to define your future..."that's the message foundation" -- which is just blocks from milwaukee's sherman park. park.its founder is now more determined than ever.... to bring hope back to the neighborhood. 25-year-old bianca willaims started the foundation over a year ago.. families and youth in the area count on her for basic needs, like clothes, shoes and food. her mission starts with kids who can't afford summer programs.so this year-- she hired dozens of them to clean up the neighborhood.
