news, london. we're learning more this morning about how a milwaukee boy reportedly died trying to crawl out of a window. the 2-year-old was found outside a home at 40th and mein, meinecke,cbs 58's julie parise joins us live from the milwaukee county medical examiner's office.that's where the autopsy will be performed today.julie? kate and kyle -the mother of the boy tells us he crawled feet first out of a cracked window and got stuck. she's distraught and is still trying to wrap her head around why this happened to her son. police say the little boy was found by his family just after 4 p-m yesterday. witnesses also say he was try to crawl out of a window and got stuck. neighbors say the child was well taken care of. one neighbor tells us she saw the boy lying outside and try to save him. 48:37-46 i got down and starting doing cpr on the baby but but that time it was too late so i tried some morebutt

several rows behind the brewers dugout when she was hit by a line drive late in the game.the brewers extended the netting behind home plate bere the start of this season after several people were hit by foul balls at stadiums around the country. a van full of school supplies and wheelchairs is stroyed in a car fire on milwaukee's south side. police are calling it a crime inspiried by the unre earlier this month. takes several trips to mexico every year.. bringing a van full of supplies for children dale folley lit a napkin on fire in the pick n' save parking lot near 18th and national -- then threw it in the van.now avila says he wants to help folley turn his life around. 19:00:51-1:03"i want to reach out to him... if there's anything that i can do or say to help him, i would welcome in dong that" that" 3 folley was in court this past

a rise in wildfires caused by climate change will expose tens of millions of people in

there's a new access point to two popular milukee county trail systems.the county parks department teamed up with aurora st. lukes to connect the oak leaf and hank aaron trails.milwkee county executive chris abele says the access point will help thsands of people year use the trails. 11:41:53-57connects to a miles-long trail system, people get healthier 11:41:33-40in five years, we've added about 15o acres to the parks, we've added miles to trails, we've added more connectivity, largely by working with great partners partners 3 aurora st luke's added fitness equipment along the trail.. near the intersection of ramsey avenue and south lake

lows in the upper s. northwest winds 5 to 10 mph new this morning... a 19-year old man is hurt after a shooting in milwaukee. t happened around ten last night at west auer and sherman. milwaukee police say the the man was sitting in a car when a suspect with a gun fired several shots into the vehicle. we're told the 19-year-old has a very serious gunshot wound but is expected to survive. a friend took him to the hospital. new details this morning in the death of a milwaukee two- year-old. the boy died yesterday after reportedly trying to crawl out of a window. cbs 58's julie parise is live

investigation so far.julie? the milwaukee county medical examiner's office says the autopsy on the boy will be performed today. police say the boy was found yesterday around 4 p-m near a home at 40th and meinecke. witnesses say he was trying to crawl out the window and got stuck.... then may have fallen. the mother tells us the child was crawling out of a cracked window feet first and got she saw the boy lying outside.. so she ran up to him and tried to save him.she performed c-p-r but couldn't save the child. 18:49:23-38 ah.. there's a lot of sad people today. this morning police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who hurt a child. it happened on milwaukee's north side around 7-30 last night. the 11-year-old girl is in critical condition. she was hit while crossing the street at 27th and burleigh. police want to talk to the driver but they say the person didn't stop. if you can help call police. now to developing news...it's been two months since jay ande j officer at madison park.last night his friends and family gathered to pray and release balloons as they wait for answe. answers.the milwaukee police department handled the investigation and turned the case over to the district attorney to determine if charges will be filed. anderson's family says they met with the d-a about one month ago but haven't heard anything since.they say they worry the unrest in milwaukee over another officer involved shooting is delaying their case. sot: linda anderson, jay

didn't go that route. but it seems like because they went that route, they're more natially known. we want r son' case out here too. will remain acefuld pl y to hd another rally t madison park this turday. 3 a state legislator is calling for wisconsin attorney general brad schimel to remove investigators.. looking into the milwaukee officer-involved shooting of slyville smith. smith.madison chris taylor is one of the original authors of the state law... which requires an ?independent? agency to instigate officer-involved shootings.she says the law's intent is to prevent people within the same department from investigating each other. schimel says former milwaukee police officers -- who now work for the state department of justice -- are investigating the officer-invovled shooting of smith.taylor says while not ?illegal? -- that goes against the intent of the law... and might not be fair to the public. "so what i would urge is that

in place right now immediately going forward that keeps out the investigators that have any kind of prior relationship with the milwaukee police department. because that's what the public deserves and frankly that's what the public wants." wants." 3 in an email... a wisconsin department spokesman rejected taylor's request... calling it insulting.the email says in part- "representative taylor continues her assault on law enforcement by presuming that investigating one point ?may have? worked for the agency being investigated- cannot conduct a thorough, independent, and factual analysis of an officer- involved shooting. " looking ahead..sylville smith- the man shot and killed by a milwaukee police officer two weeks ago- will be laid to rest on friday. friday.we've learned reverend jesse jackson will deliver the eulogy.the funeral will be held at the "christian faith fellowship church" on good hope road in milwaukee.look for complete coverage.. coming up later in the week.
