the death of a 2-year-old boy in milwaukee. milwaukee.police say it happened around 7:30 last night near 13th and green bay avenue.. on the city's northside.the young boy was found unresponsive... after his mom put him down for a nap. a family member tells cbs 58 the boy was a twin.she says he stopped breathing and his mom brought him to a house on 13th street... but by the time they got there... the child was already dead. 3 now to new details on a shooting in milwaukee that left one man seriously hurt. hurt.take a look, this was the scene at 29thre last night.milwaukee police say two men... both in their twenties... got out of a car and exchanged gunfire with a group near west michigan. police say the 20 year old passenger of the car was hit by a bullet and suffered a critical injury.he was taken to a local hospital.one witness describes what he saw... 14:53:08-13they still like punching and running and the one dude was like shoot em, kill em, wooo wooo 14:53:18-26 somebody mentioned about the police coming they dispersed.. but they went up the street up there, the same ones in the car that had the pistols got

3 officers on patrol nearby say they heard the shots and rushed to the scene.they arrested the 23-year old driver of the car.police say they found two semi-automatic pistols..one from the victim and one from the driver.the second group of shooters ran away. now to a developing story... two nuns are killed... and one has ties to milwaukee.sisters 'paula merrill' and 'margaret held' were found stabbed inside their home in mississipp. mississippi.sister held was a nurse practitioner... and was part of "school sisters of she taught high school in kenosha in the early 70s. sister held's ministry is based in mississippi. video from the sisters of charity's website shows sisters held and merrill helping people in mississippi.news of their deaths was shared during the four o-clock mass last night... many just couldn't believe it. 3 "it's hard to imagine that one who served the poor,

office." 3 a brookfield native is being remembered as a hero. army staff sargent matthew thompson was killed in action in afghanistan on tuesday. the 28 year old graduated from brookfield central high school in 2006. he was a football captain his senior year.... an eagle scout.. and in the band. last night- the school held a moment of silence before the football game. then thompson's former band director played the national anthem. sot: jim thompson, grandfather of fallen soldier02;57;28 a lifetime is not judged by how long it is, but by person does with the tiem they have here, and he certainly did his share and then some. and that's what i would tell him. we couldn't be more proud of him. him. his grandparents, aunts and uncles were all at last night's game. thompson is survived by his wife, parents and two younger sisters. the clock is ticking for steven avery's attorney to file new documents in his appeal. his appeal attorney kathleen zellner... plans to request access to d-n-a evidence from the scene.she

during avery's initial trial. her deadline is ?monday.the case - made popular by the netflix series "making a murderer" - drew a lot of supporters.many stood outside of the manitowoc courthouse thursday hoping to see zellner. milwaukee voters can start casting their ballots for the presidential election october 10th.early voting lasts four we. weeks.the first two weeks of voting will be at two locations, one on the city's south side and one on the city's north side.those locations are to be determined. the following two weeks, people can vote at the zeidler municipal building in downtown milwaukee.there will be extended evening and weekend hours at all three sites. 3 wisconsin is doing its part to get unregistered voters to cast a ballot in the pr than one-million people have a driver's license or state id-- but aren't registered to vote...soon though, they'll get a postcard in the mail with details on how to do so. the state elections commission will send them in about a month.a state law passed earlier this year.... requires wisconsin to join a voter registration database... more than 800 jobs are coming to milwaukee's northwest side. that's the promise from "direct supply"... in exchange for tax credits to expand its
