cbs 58 news. 3 3 thank you christine.tonight we're also learning more about the victim of a deadly stabbing near the brady street bar district. and we know that two suspects are under arrest. cbs 58's jacob kittilstad joins us live with that story....jacob? right w... wdon't know the names of these suspects are...arrested this just this morning after a manhunt around north pulaski street.we also don't know their exact motive. but we are learning more about the victim from people who live in this area. (nat. overnight?)but just before 1 a-m...milwaukee police got the call about the stabbing in front of thurman's 15 - a local bar.people with direct knowledge of what happened...asking to stay anonymous...said a couple was having a domestic dispute in
thurman's 15 intervened.that man was the person stabbed. police say the victim and suspects knew each other.one woman - also asking for anonymity - said the victim was an all-around nice man.2;04 "at one time when we had lost our maintenance man i was doing the snow shoveling and shawn went out and bought another snow shovel. and he shoveled the entire walk from the front of the bar down past the residence that we own because, he said, he loved the bar so much."police say 32-year-old's life failed. two male suspect would be arrested hours later.neighbors(bofiles) 1;12"i am concerned. but i feel like this kind of stuff happenes all over the city a lot." the names have the suspect have not yet been released. we're expecting more information on what authorities believed happened when those suspects are officially charged.live in milwaukee...jacob kittilstad... cbs 58 news. a man who allegedly tried to
side?...is headed for trial. trial.19-year old dale folley appeared in court today and probable cause was found for trial on arson and bail-jumping charges.the criminal complaint says folley told police he wanted to mimic the sherman park violence, so he set a van on fire in a pick-and save store parking lot. his next court date is september 15th. 3 and milwaukee police want you to watch this surveillance video. they need your help identifying two men who held up a wendy's month. it happened on 46th and north on august 16th. police say one of the suspects pulled a gun on an employee and demanded money. you can see the suspects walk around the counter into the backroom. they took off before taking any money from the register. if you recognize either of these men, please contact milwaukee police. time has just run out for one milwaukee alderman's proposal to put more officers on the streets.now he says the city is considering an idea that's simply not reasonable.
in the newsroom with the story...amanda? michele, alderman terry witkowski wanted a special referendum to be put on november's ballot that would allow voters to authorize the addition of up to 150 milwaukee police officers. now you'll remember last week, the common council unveiled a plan to add 280 officers. witkowski says he doesn't think that number is feasible. he also thinks voters should have a say on the taxes that would be restored to their 25 level as part of the plan.wit-kow-ski says the common council needed to hold a special meeting to consider his referendum but it's not happening. "when i put it out, i was really taking the temperature of the common council as to whether citywide they felt like there was a problem that needed to be addressed. apparently the answer is no." the milwaukee police association released a statement ...which says i part.. "while we are in desperate need of more
