the walworth ounty fair will reopen today.... after a security scare forced organizers to shut it down ?early? last night. night.thousands of people were cleared from the frgrounds around 9 o'clock. o'clock.cbs 58's julie parise is live in the nsroom with th story.julie? a captn with the elkhorn police deparent tells s a suspicious looking pe was brought to the attention of fair security last night a few hours before the end of the fair. it turns out -- it was just a pair of drum sticks. 3the kenosha county sheff ofce bomb squad was caed in to help with the investigation. the walworth county sheriff's office and the elkhorn police worked the fair board to clear fair goers from the grounds.the all clear was given after 10 -- the board decided ?not? to reopen the fair for the remaining 45 minutes. one fair vendor tells us he's impressed with how well everything was d byhandle police. there was a lot of concern but in terms of panic or chaos it wasnt that, i feel like the situatin was handled well, the

m-p-s superintendent dr. darienne driver and milwaukee mayor tom barrett will welcome studentsack to class in the sherman parknieghborhood. nieghborhood.cbs 58's kyle aevermann joinus live from sherman multi-cultural arts scho with a look ahead. good morning, kyle! you can already feel the excitment.i'm sure my kids will have the back to school jitters. and a what happened last month, it's nice to feel this shift in energy. this school is one of four in the district participating in the white house's turnaround arts program..... which works on increasing student achievement by using an integrated arts model.studies on this program found that on average, schools saw a 12.6 percent improvement in reading and a 22 and a half percent improvement in math.but that's not the only good news.
