time between now and election day, you will be able to vote, but in order for it to count you will need to have that photo id and show it to your municipal clerk by 4 pm on the friday after the election, november 11. this is an election about preparedness and to any person who has not secured their photo id in order to vote in tuesday's election we encourage dmv. we remind them if they don't have the exact requirements to secure a photo id, they can secure a receipt that will still allow them to vote on election day. if you are mailing in your absentee ballots, officials recommend you do that today because it does need to arrive on or before election day.

stay with cbs 58 for all of your ?campaign? coverage.we'll have team coverage on election night... as the results roll in.that's one week from today. now to a developing story... milwaukee police are looking for a man who shot and killed someone in broad daylight on the city's south side. side.the shooting happened yesterday morning near 7th and greenfield at a money transfer business.neighbors say the victim was the owner of the business... but police have not confirmed that.police released ?this? surveillance video of thn information... you're asked to contact milwaukee police. a milwaukee landlord is calling on police to ?make an arrest?... after he says his home was ?deliberately set on f? fire.?that fire happened yesterday afternoon at a home near 31st and garfield avenue. cbs 58's julie parise is live at police district 3 headquarters.... with the latest on the investigation. julie? as of right now we don't know an official cause of that fire -- but the homeowner says he believes it was retaliation.

an eviction hearing for his tenants -- when he got a text telling him the house was on fire. no one was hurt in that fire. but it gutted the home -- with flames shooting through the three levels. the landlord's two dogs were pulled from the housedocuments show that crowley was supposed to have that eviction hearing at milwaukee county court yesterday afternoon. but he says his tenants did not show up at the scheduled time of 2:30 p-m.an hour after that, he's burning me out of my house - if i can't stay there, he can't stay there. he should be arrested and i dont see anything of that sort taking place" we did speak with one of the tenants being accused - he was watching the firefighters work on the home, but that tenant did not want to comment. milwaukee police tell us their investigation is in the early stages.coming up in the next half hour we'll hear from a firefighter about where the

live in milwaukee im jp cbs 58 looking ahead---the dodge county man charged with ?hiding a woman's body?.... after she reportedly overdosed... will make his plea in court today. today." gabriel brandl" is accused of taking heroin with a 41-year old woman at a watertown park.police say... holly nehls ?passed out? and later died.investigators believe brandl... drove around for hours with her in the back. brandl is charged with first degree reckless homicide. 3 we've learned a man charged wi mentally ill woman... is a retired kenosha county sheriff's captain. captain.records show clarence mielke's wife ran an assisted living facility called "carey manor" in their home.the 73 year old is charged with two counts of sex assault of a mentally ill victim.. and two counts of sex assault by an employee of a care residential facility.wisconsin d-h-s records show a complaint was filed against "carey manor" just two weeks ago.lawrence zettler found out about the disturbing news from a neighbor.

cbs58.com. taxpayers are voicing their opinions about a controversial "wheel tax" in milwaukee county.the county executive and board supervisors are going back and forth between 60 and 30 dollars extra each ye. year.and there was no shortage of opinions last night.... after county board chairmain theodore lipscomb introduced his amended wheel tax earlier in the day. which would drop the fee from ?60? to ?30? dollars.county executive chris abele says this is the only legal way the county can generate more road projects and transit. while some community members agree that's needed... others say its just too expensive. 3 im here to represent the seniors who still drive. were on social security and we havent gottena raise for 2 years. the propposed budget would raie the m card..what i have $8 a month or $96 a year! year! the finance committee will meet again later this week. the board will vote on the

3 let's get you caught "national news" now...two people are hurt after an ?officer-invovled shooting? in ohio last night. night.police say... a brookville police officer had to be ?hospitalized?... after a shooting near an interstate. the suspect drove off in an s-u-v.police are still trying to locate that person. meanwhile--- officials say a ?second? person was also shot. it's not clear if that person was a suspect--- or--- someone else. 3 a michigan man is charged with murder in the hit-and-run death of a detroit police officer. police say 54-year- old steven guzina was driving under the influence last

jarrett.the detroit policeman was helping with an investigation when he was hit. investigators say guzina fled the scene and was arrested a short time later. (molly kettler, assistant prosecutor) "this defendant drove around the city purchasing crack cocaine, smoking it, drove around some more purchased some more crack cocaine. smoked it again, traveling at a high rate of speed in the vehicle. repeatedly he was told to slow down by a passenger in the vehicle. he disregarded the clearly activated top of the police car." car." the suspect is currently being held in the wayne county jail. 3 a student at "texas state university"... is dead after being ?run over? by a shuttle bus that was parked.very strange, i know.deputies say... to fix the bus.... discovered taylor's body under an axle over the weekend.there's no word on why the vehicle moved... or how taylor ended up getting hit.deputies say her death appears to be an accident. a dozen people protesting the dakota access pipeline have been arrested... after they took over the lobby of the citigroup center in san francis. francisco.a group calling itself 'diablo rising tide' organized the takeover in the bank lobby. the group is demanding that citibank stop financing the 12-hundred mile project. the "standing rock" sioux tribe opposes the project as well. it's concerned about the pipeline's impact on cultural, historic and sacred spaces... and the threat it poses to drinking water. the cleveland indians are looking to win the world series in front of their fans... after their 3-2 loss to the cubs sunday night.and it turns out...the cubs' win was better sports viewing than the nfl. nfl.ratings for game 5 of the cubs-indians beat the cowboys- eagles on "sunday night football" - by 32 percent. the cubs' win drew a
