3 a live picture from milwaukee, where the recount of presidential votes began three hours ago.it's a daunting task...workers are going over thousands of votes cast on november 8th. the recall requested by green party candidate jill stein, and they have less than two weeks to get the job done. 3 at noon...and of course, the same scenes are playing out all over wisconsin today and cbs 58 is bringing you team cov. coverage.kyle aevermann is in port washington where the ozaukee county vote count is underway...kyle joins us with a live report. 3 so far so good. the recount happening in the lower level of the administration building. about 15 tabulators were on hand as the count

reporting unit we are going to do is the town of belgium. wards one through three." 5 secs secs ozaukee county is one of 47 counties that has chosen to do the recount by hand.the process starts by counting the number absentee and traditional ballots and making sure the numbers match with what was recorded on election day.the ballots are then split and counted for each of the presidential candidates.up first this morning was the town of belgium. there was a discrepancy in the number of ballots by one. but when was said in done, the number of votes for both president elect trump and hillary clinton remained the same.the room was also filled with a couple of representatives with the trump, clinton, and stein campaigns. the are free to ask questions along the way and observe what the tabulators are doing close up.. ozaukee county had more than 54 and a half thousand ballots ca. the county clerks expects they will be hand counting those ballots until the deadline of 8pm on december 12.

we'll be reporting on the progress of the recount all through this first day of what is a highly unusual event. again, 'recount results' are due by 8 p-m on december 12-th. certification of those results will take place the next day. while wisconsin recounts the votes, president-elect donald trump is taking a break from his 'team-building' in new york. york. in about an hour, he'll make a stop in indianapolis. some have called it a 'victory tour' because he's visiting a carrier plant there that will promised corporate tax cuts that would outweigh the benefits of outsourcing jobs to mexico.erica ferguson says the deal means her husband will make it to retirement in a couple of years. toss back to mike new at noon...a man for the fatal shooting of 5- year old laylah petersen is going to prison for a long time.carl barrett was sentenced to 65 years behind bars this morning. morning.cbs 58's julie parise is live at the milwaukee county courthouse with the story...julie? 3 today in court the state went for the heart strings - making an emotional plea for barrett to never the light of day again. the prosecutor argued that anyone so reckless as to shoot

barrett is 21 years old - so after serving his complete sentence, he will be 86 years old. it was breaking news on this newscast yesterday. today, four people are in custody for the death of a 7-year old milwaukee boy. two women are accused of abusing the child, and two men are arrested for not doing anything to stop it. milwaukee police say the child was taken to children hospital tuesday with numerous injuries and died a few hours later. officers went to an apartment at south 19th and national and talked to neighbors there. police are treating this case as a homicide. milwaukee is blazing a new trail when it comes to the fight against addiction. addiction. this morning a group of leaders gathered to announce the start of a 'drug mail-back program' in the city. it's the first of its kind in america and here's how it works. cvs pharmacy will make tamper-proof, postage-

it's been months since we first learned about structural problems at the mitchell park domes. they were closed for a while, but today, a 'grand re-opening' for an inconic milwakee attraction. cbs 58's mike curkov is there for the celebration and he joins us live...mike? its a pretty festive mood here at the domes as we listen to david hb drake playing some
