zoo interchange the s-w and n-w system ramps will close for roadwork.drivers take note that the water st. bridge leading into the historic third ward is now closed until december 16th 2016. the bridge will 3 a trooper wound up in the hospital after a car slammed into his cruiser yesterday during the storm. it happened on i-41 ?in washington county?just north of slinger. state patrol tells us the trooper was on scene of ?another? crash when it happened.a family from michigan was in the other car... the mother and her three boys were also taken to the hospital.no word on their injuries... but the trooper is home and is expected to be okay. 3 and make sure you download our cbs 58 ready weather app.you can track the storm right along with us... and see the most-up-to-date forecast for

now to a big ?developing? story--- a ?criminal investigation? is now underway... into friday night's ?massive warehouse fire? in oakland, california californiamore than 30 people were killed. killed.officials are now searching for those still unaccounted for. edward lawrence has the latest from oakland. -nats-as recovery teams continue to search the now- charred site of oakland's 'ghost ship' warehouse...the only think friends and family of the missing can do is wait. dan vega's younger brother was there with his girlfriend...when a fire tore through the two-story building friday night: (sot dan vega) if my br want to find him.karen west believes her friend was also inside: (sot karen west sun0046) i believe he was performing last evening, and he was there with his girlfriend. most of those confirmed dead so far range in age from teens to 35 years old. authorities say at least one of the victims was a 17- year-old minor...another - a deputy's son: (sot ray kelly/ alameda county sheriff's office sun0165) one of the deputies that we work with lost his son in this fire. fire.(standup: edward lawrence/ cbs news/ oakland, california) the building wasn't permitted for events like the electronic dance

night...attended by 50 to 100 people. it also wasn't permitted for living...but many artists called the warehouse home, including carmen britto: (sot carmen britto) seeing this orange wall of fire, i don't know, it was like seeing a monster.as authorities continue to investigate what sparked the flames...questions are now mounting over whether the was preventable.firefighters say the building had no sprinklers and that there were very few paths for escape. the fire also knocked out the lights and caused so much black smoke... it's possible many of those inside could not find the only way out --- a makeshift stairway made of wooden pallets. edward lawrence cbs news oakland, california. victim's relatives are being asked to ?preserve sources of dna?-- things like combs and toothbrushes. fire crews are about 50 percent of the way through the building. they have ?not? yet determined... the ?cause? of the fire. several cars parked along north emmertsen road in mount pleasant were broken into and had things stolen out of them

making news around the world this morning--thousands gather for the funeral of former cuban president "fidel castro." castro."many of his supporters did ?whatever they could?... to get a view of castro during the procession through "santiago" yesterday.a few even traveled from ?other countries?... to pay their respects. catherine schultz/mourning

"it feels good i'm really happy that i'm here to witness it and celebrate with a lot of my elders and the youth, but i think that we also need to

police say an online conspiracy theory led to the arrest of a man in washington yesterday. he told investigators he went to a pizza parlor with two guns to investigate the so- called "pizza gate".that's a conspiracy story that the "comet ping pong" restaurant runs a child sex operation.the allegation appeared on fake news sites even though the restaurant's owner denied it. police say the suspect, edgar maddison welch, fired a shot did not injure anyone... he's now facing charges. a robbery attempt at a new york state pizza parlor. and the cries for help... were from the robber! robber!a clerk working third shift heard him and called police.when deputies got there... they found 53-year-old richard graham. here's a play by play from the clerk. 3 david reed, store clerk: "i kept hollering where are you? a 14-year-old boy jumped out of a school bus to save his dog from a house fire.it happened in phoenix on friday. fire officials say the teen was on the bus when he noticed smoke coming from his home.the boy says he promptly jumped off the bus ...and opened his home's back door to save the dog.the teen's family says their home is a total loss.the cause of the fire remains under investigation. okay, check this out.?this? is a mug shot. shot.a man posed with his pet macaw in washington county, oregon. authorities say... cr parrot--- named "bird"--- to county court with him.thinking his case wouldn't take long -- he left the bird in a tree outside.but the judge ordered buckner be ?arrested?... for violating the terms of his release on "misdemeanor theft." the security deputy took buckner out to get his pet from the tree. :56-1:08 shoana mckelvey/ security deputy, washington county court:"this was mr. buckner's pet. he had had this bird since the bird had been hatched. the bird's four years old. and i could just tell how he was so concerned when he went into custody, this bird
