3 roads are wet and slick this morningroads have been treated. watch it on secondary roads as well as bridges and overpasses.i-94 eb will be closed at moorland rd. for sign structure installation. i-94 wb will close overnight at 84th st for roadwork.at the zoo interchange the s-w and n-w system ramps will close for roadwork.drivers take note that the water st. bridge leading into the historic third ward is now closed until december 16th 2016. the bridge will undergo some upgrades to its locking system. drivers should use alternates to get around this closure.another reminder that the i-41/894 sb exit ramp to greenfield ave. is now closed through the summer of 2018 for reconstruction. the on ramp from greenfield ave. to i- 41 s the fall of 2017. also closing long term, the lincoln ave. exit ramp from i-894 sb is expected to our top story at 5 -- a warning for drivers. the snow and icy roads caused dozens of accidents across southeastern wisconsin. cbs 58's kyle aevermann joins us live from washington county with a closer look at the

we are in slinger this morning.... where the roadways appear to be wet. i'll step out of the way and give you a better view of what we can see this morning. the roads near this part of i41 are pretty clear now... but that certainly wasn't the case yesterday. in fact no far from where we are this morning, a wisconsin state trooper was responding to an accident when another car slammed into his cruiser. you can see just how bad the damage is.the trooper is pected to be okay, the family in the other car was taken to the hospital.it wasn't the only crash....road backups were a common scene area.officials say three accidents happened near this area just a few hours apart. there were also dozens of accidents across southeastern wisconsin -- ranging from cars sliding into ditches to cars crashing into each other. 3 "the roads are slick and a lot of people are going too fast for the conditions." conditions.""it's a learning curve. the beginning of the winter everybody just forgets how to drive and it takes them about a month or so to get

coming up in our next half hour, we'll go over some of those useful tips for stay safe on these road conditions. live in slinger. kyle aevermann cbs 58 news. 3 making national news this morning--- 33 people are now confirmed dead... after a ?warehouse fire? in oakland, california.about 50 percent of the building still needs to be searched though--- so the death toll could rise even more. more.there was a dance party going on inside the old warehouse... when the fire started. madison...was at that party. his friends say... they're thankful he survived. "it's very sad, it's very devastating, a lot of friends lost a lot of good friends and people out there." there.""i'm obviously relieved that he's ok, and very sad that and very sad for everyone going through this, it's a nigh" nightmare." officials say... this is one of the deadliest fire in oakland california's history. 3 a potentially lifesaving message.... may ?not? have

mountains.officials in gatlin- burg, tennessee... gave the order to evacuate last week... week...but some people say... they never got the ?text message alert? to leave.they say... that might be because the wildfire damaged or destroyed cell towers. "there was power outages, we lost cell phone reception. this is a huge disaster so the things that we have in place to do that certainly have redundancies and those redundancies were even affected" affected." at least 13 people died in the fire.more than a thousand buils and 16-thousand acres are blackened. deliberations are set to resume today... in the murder trial of former officer michael slager.he's on trial for shooting unarmed black man-- walter scott-- in north charleston, south carolina last year. year.a cellphone video shows slager shooting scott in the back while he was running away. the jurors indicated to the judge three times last week.... that they couldn't reach a decision.however.. each time they ended up going back and continuing their deliberations. 3

die in a hot car-- will hear his sentence today.justin ross harris was found guilty of malice murder last month. investigators say he left his 22-month-old son cooper in a car for seven hours in 20-14. the vehicle was parked outside the father's office near atlanta... where the temperatures reached the high 80's.police later said harris had affairs... and killed the little boy to avoid his parental responsibilities.but his attorneys said the death was an accident... and they planned to appeal the verdict. the u-s army corps engineers will begin exploring alternate routes for a section of the controversial dakota access oil pipeline. pipeline.on sunday -- the army refused to grant permission for the pipeline to pass under the missouri river...handing a major victory to native americans and other activist opponents.for weeks... local indian tribes have been offering support to those in north dakota.several members of the oneida nation, located north of green bay, made the trek out to north dakota to help supply the camp.for some, the fight is person al. the commission's website says the clinton-kaine campaign picked up 13 votes in racine county... votes that weren't counted because of the type of pen used. used.there were ballot jams in walworth county... so ten votes were added between clinton, donald trump and gary . johnson.and in fond du lac... both clinton and trump ?lost seven? votes. counties have until december 12th to finish the recount. otherwise.. wisconsin may not be allowed to participate in the electoral college vote. "this is about responding to the american voter standing up and saying we deserve an election system that we can trust" trust" and with that... the recount in pennsylvania is back on. green party nominee jill stein reversed course on the lawsuit... just one day after she said she was going to drop it due to a lack of funding. stein must raise one-million dollars to begin the process. she also has a lawsuit pending in michigan. packers fans are waking up happy this morning...the packers defense held out for a second straight week week that defense includes

emergency crews work to pull two cars caught i officials say... a woman who witnessed the second car go into the sinkhole was hurt and taken to the hospital. hospital.that witness rescued a 60-year-old man from the second vehicle.police went to the scene after receiving reports of a sewage leak.it's unknown what caused the leak and the sinkhole. 3 talk about a close call.a train derailment in ohio could have been much, much worse. ?several? train cars derailed.

police say... two cars that fell on their sides were carrying a highly-flammable chemical.thankfully, neither of those cars started leaking. you can also see that part of the train struck a tower, which supports high-tension power lines.authorities evacuated two nearby homes as a precaution. making news around the world... there are conflicting reports coming out of iraq ... as the military tries to retake mosul from isis. isis.the u-n says more than two-thousand soliders died in november.military officials say that is wrong... ?could? bolster morale for the terrorists.the u-n also says more than 900 civilians died in the war last month... and say just as many were hurt. 3 this is one of only six survivors of a horrific plane crash in colombia last week. erwin tumiri was rushed from the hospital into a van.he says he curled up in the fetal position just before impact. 71 people-- including almost an entire brazilian soccer team-- died in the crash. investigators say the charter plane ran out of fuel on the

more than twenty thousand people are stranded at an airport in china. china.state media is reporting thick clouds of smog and heavy fog are preventing planes from taking off at an airport in cheng-du.officials are calling it the worst fog to hit the city in years. 3 20 to 30 inches of snow could fall on two of the highest mountains in hawaii.the snow started falling on 'mauna kea' and 'mauna loa' last week. officials closed a section of hawaii volcanoes national park because of fog, heavy snow, and ice. 3 3 ((???1:45 seconds??)) holiday train features 14 rail cars, each with hundreds of thousands of bright lights in holiday designs. admission for the holiday train is two nonperishable items and two dollars per family member. three 10-week-old tiger cubs have finally made their debut at the milwaukee county zoo. zoo.sisters-- eloise and bernadette, and their brother- "kashtanre september."kashtan" spent about a month in the zoo's animal health center with an infection... so now he's being raised by zoo staff.but.. he regularly visits his sisters so he can learn how to become a tiger. 11:04-16when he gets to play with his issters, he gets to actually be a tiger and learn those cues from those sisters so he's learning how a tiger tells him 'no, that hurts', he's learning how other tigers play and how they communicate with eachother eachother 3 there's about 400 to 500 'amur' tigers left in the
