the fall of 2017. also closing long term, the lincoln ave. exit ramp from i-894 sb is expect to remain that way through summer of 2018. traffic new this morning..one man seriously hurt after being hit by a car in milwaukee. milwaukee.it happened near hampton and appleton around 11 last night.police say a 61 year old man walked into the street and was hit by a serious injuries.the man was taken to a local hospital ...where he is in critical condition this morning.police say the driver stayed on the scene. also new this morning-- cudahy police are looking for a man who approached a 13-year-old girl for sex. sex.policsay... the suspect made contact with the girl ?three times?... while she was walking home yesterday.once just driving by. then near "swift and holmes"... he stopped his car andade a sexual comment to her.and a third time near edgerton avenue. that time he got out of the car and asked for sex.

say, at the hands of police. the family says their dog "sugar" was shot and killed for no reason. cbs 58's julie parise is live at the racine police department with the story. julie? the dog was shot by an officer from the racine police department when they were executing a search warrant. sara harmon says police told her they shot the dog, named sugar, due to "protocol." haon says- it was around 5am last wednesday that police burst into her home instigating a november 15th report of shotfi was being investigated for attempted murder. harmon's husband, who was home at the time, said police shot the dog while search the home. he believes sugar the dog was hiding from the police. harmon's son was released with no charges later that day.the family feels sugar was shot for no reason. 3 for no reason. for nothng...she died for

when scientists are trying to figure out how to live in ?near-isolation? in a dome to simulate a mars mission--- the last thing they want is an ?ill-fitting space suit.? so one of the nation's top design schools has come to the . rescue.staff members and school of design have come up with a new, adjustable suit that closely resembles an actual space suit.real space suits are designed to work in zero grity, meaning they're too expensive and too heavy to use at the nasa-funded mars simulation mission in hawaii. michael lye, simulated mars suit designer:"even people inside of nasa can't routinely get access to a real space suit sometimes. real space suits are millions of dollars apiece and they come with a whole crew of people to make sure that they function properly. obviously we don't have resources for that and,

seriously hurt.the six-point-five magnitude tremor hit early this morning. morning.the red cross says... it damaged many homes and buildings.many people are out in the streets or in temporary shelters. in national news...authorities in oakland, california declared a state of emergency...following the city's response to the deadly warehouse fire. fire crews have recovered at least 36 victims from the burnt-out structure so far...and have positively identified all but one of them.the cause of the fire is still under investigation. the trial is ct today for the man accused in the charleston, south carolina church shooting. shooting.authorities say dylann roof killed nine members of the historically black emanuel a-m-e church last year. he faces a possible death sentence in the case. police say... a number of students at naperville north high school in illinois are sick after eating gummy bears ?laced with ?drugs.? ?drugs.?14 students got sick. the students say... they were dizzy and had a fast heart rate. they were brought to the nurse's office first--- then the fire department rushed them to the hospital.

preliminary investigation indicates in talking to some of the affected individual that they believe these gummy bears to be laced with something with marijuana, like a liquid based marijuana substance. however, we have not confirmed that." that." authorities say... it appears the students got the gummy bears from a 17 year old student. the chairman of the standing rock sioux tribe is asking dakota access pipeline protesters to go home. he says he's elated about sunday's decision to re-route the pipeline. the army corps of for an alternate route.the chairman says now the focus is on legal battles... and making sure that decision does not get reversed.he also says they will work on an ?exit strategy? as soon as the weather permits. the companies behind the planned pipeline have vowed to push for its construction without a re- route. president-elect donald trump will meet with outgoing north carolina governor pat mccrory at trump tower today today...as trump continues to fill positions in his administration. the meeting comes just a day after trump traveled to governor mccrory's

and south into the weekend. roxana saberi, for cbs news, new york. i just checked out flight aware r you.it says... there are more than 26-hundred delays across the country... and more than 200 cancellations so far.that's up from yesterday.milwaukee airport isn't too bad. there's just one delay. it's a flight headed to minneapolis this mornig. 3 police say foul play is not suspected in the death of former n-f-l player ras salaam.the 42-year-old was found dead at a park in boulder, colorado, monday night.investigators say they're still investigating the cause of his death.salaam won the heisman trophy in 19-94.he started his n-f-l run with the chicago bears ..and briefly played with the packers practice squad in 1999....but his career was later cut short by a string of injuries. our top story this morning... there was heavy police presence in west allis overnight. milwaukee police say one car was involved in an accident ... near south hawley road and hawley court in west allis.
