charge -- second degree reckless homicide -- which he pled guilty to back in september. 5-year-old laylah petersen was killed on november 6, 2014, while sitting inside her home near 58th and fairmount.she was sitting in the living room on her grandfather's lap when the bullets flew threw the window. gordon was arrested last october -- along with two other suspects -- paul farr and carl barrett.last week barrett was sentenced to to 65 years in prison for his role emotional day in court and today could surely be similar. that sentencing happens after 8:15 this morning gordon could face sixty years in prison live in milwaukee im jp cbs 58 now to a developing story...a milwaukee man arrested for threats on wauwatosa police off. officers. we're told tosa p-d has been getting threats ever since the decision was announced monday that charges

killed jay anderson in madison park last june. police say they're sending the case to the d-a for charges. 3 mayor kathleen ehley says she is "very very concerned about the safety of the police officers."she said "threats are taken very seriously" and "each one is being investigated."may ehley wants you to call tosa police if you have information 3 brendan dassey's attorneys have filed a brief with the u-s court of appeals. appeals.they're urging the court to affirm a lower court's ruling that overturns his conviction in the death of teresa halbach.dassey a h uncle, steven avery, were convicted of killing the photographer in 2005.in august, a federal judge found the dassey's constitutional rights were violated with a coerced confession.prosecutors have two weeks to respond. an update now on wisconsin's recount.about 70-percent of wisconsin's ballots have been recounted... that's according to the wisconsin elections comm. commission.but in greenfield... recount volunteers are going through the city's ballots ?again?... after the city discovered it was short a few hundred

probably in a rush election and someone made a mistake... 19:20:34-37they were probably in a rush to get something done and get out... and they didn't pay attention 19:20:56-21:02it's a question fo what actually happened there... it's an abnormality they have to look at at 3 some 400 ballots were found with election materials. the trump campaign representative says he believes the ballots won't make much of a difference in the final 3residental recount numbers. 34 counties have finished counting ballots. ballots. so far.... both donald trump and hillary clinton have added votes to at last check.... clinton has gained 82 votes over trump.the elections commission says most vote changes are because of human error.the commission also says all counties ?are? on track to finish the recount by the december 12th deadline. a federal judge who ordered ?michigan's? recount.. has now dropped his decision... effectivly ending the state's recount. the judge made the decision last night... one day after the state appeals court said green party candidate jill stein isn't eligible for a recount.. because of her 4th

in national news...grief counlors aron hand at a ne knife-wielding student was shot by school police officer yesterday. officials say the district officer took action after the 14-year-old male student, who had just been involved in an altercation on campus, refused to drop the weapon.the student is hospitalized in critical condition. 3 police in miami beach shut down an entire city block last night due to the threat of possible explosives. authorities say someone called police claiming that at least one explosive device could be found on ocean drive.the

3 new this morning---two people are dead after a homicide overnight... on milwaukee's northwest side.police say... both victims were shot and the person responsible was able to get away.cbs 58's kyle aevermann is live from the scene with the very latest. it was around 1:30 this morning when milwaukee police started to receive phone calls reporting of gunshots in this neighborhood here near west florist and appleton. police say when they arrived they woman in their 20's not breathing.both had apparently been shot.the milwaukee county medical examiners office was called out confirming thier deaths.police say there were also 2 children inside the home at the time of the shooting.however, they were not injured and are now safe with police.the suspect or suspects were able to get away. police are still investigating

milwaukee police are investigating another double sh. shooting.this one happened just before four this morning ... near 52nd and greentree. police say they found a 34-year-old man who was shot and unresponsive.he died on scene.they say a 32-year-old woman was suffering from a gunshot wound.she was taken to a hospital where she is expected to survive. also new this morning ... a man with a gunshot wound was found dead... after his car collided with two others. it happened near north 36th street and west thurston avenue around 9:30 last night. 60's.. and is not from the milawaukee area. they say witnesses pulled the man out of the car and began c-p-r. he died at the scene. police say the man had a gunshot wound to the back. no one else was hurt. police are looking for suspects. two local middle school students... face charges for making a "kill list" 3 according to the criminal complaint--- a 15-year-old girl at "karcher middle school" in burlington.... used facebook to send a list to her 14-year-old boyfriend of people she wanted him to kill. kill.the boy told police it
