i-894/41 nb will close overnight at cbs 58's julie parise is live in milwaukee county with an update. plows hit the streets overnight to make this easier. the department of public works says they sent two shifts of drivers out last night - one at 9pm and another at 11 pm to finish clearing main streets and side streets. crews are still out and about in milwaukee county.we checked in this morning with other counties in our viewing area. we're told roads in waukesha and racine counties are looking good.main roads in kenosha are also in good shape - but side streets are still snow covered and plows are

working in washington and walworth counties.i-43 in ozaukee is clear, though plows are still out clearing streets in ozaukee county. over the weekend the snow meant a lot of people chose to avoid the roads all together. snows fine...id rather have snow than coldits coming down its light its fluffy, not too too cold, itmakes an evening walk really enjoyablehanging around the apartment, walking around, seeing the lights, enjoying the weekend in milwaukee drivers will still need to take it slow on the morning commute as there are still slippery spots across the area. we're told that in milwaukee county limited garbage pick up will happen today so residents should still take garbage to the curb for collection.live in milwaukee im jp cbs 58

this picture should serve as an important reminder... anytime you're driving in the snow or ice.that's a milwaukee county deputy's car ?smashed in?... after a car slammed into it. it.it happened on i-41 near the hampton road exit yesterday.the deputy is okay. the woman who was driving other car did get a ticket. an inmate from the dane county jail has been declared awol. dane county sheriff's deputies are looking for 21 year old mark j. logterman. logterman has no current address but has ties to madison and center out the back door, without authorization...around 7:30 yesterday. he is currently serving a probation sentence with work release privileges for felony convictions including endangering safety and reckless use of a firearm and f. forgery.logterman is about five foot eight... 160 pounds... with brown hair and blue eyes. he has a distinct tattoo on his lower left arm: "cynthia" in cursive black ink with "rip 11 23 13" in red ink. anyone with information is

looking ahead now..the jury trial is expected to start today for the man charged with killing his 3-month-old son. son. 25-year-old sean flowers is charged with first-degree intentional homicide for drowning his son in a pond this summer.according to the criminal complaint... flowers was upset with how the baby's mother was dancing at a family party. witnesses say flowers fought off attempts from others to free the baby. court records show.. in the past.. flowers was accused of domestic violence against the baby's mother. 3 one of the two waukesha girls... accused of trying to ?stab their classmate to court today.morgan geyser has a hearing this morning... to determine if there's enough evidence to require a trial. trial.both geyser and anissa weier are accused of the 20-14 stabbing ...to please a fictional online character known as "slender man."geyser and weier were 12 at the time of the stabbing. they'll be tried as ?adults.? both have pleaded ?not? guilty by reason of mental disease or defect. their lawyers are now seeking ?separate? trials for the girls. president-elect donald trump holds more meetings at trump tower today

administration. trump is said to be moving closer to nominating exxon mobile ceo, rex tillerson, as secretary of state.the development comes amid calls from a bipartisan group of senators...for congress to investigate the cia's assessment...that russia helped trump get elected. tillerson is known for his close connections to russian president vladimir putin. the clock is ticking. after nearly a week and a half of work... wisconsin's presidential election recount has to be completed by 8 o'clock tonight. tonight. aevermann is live with a closer look at where things stand. we are live outside the milwaukee county courthouse this morning.... and the county clerks office told us last week all wards are complete and only minor changes were found. however, the election commission says the city of milwaukee still has yet to report.the commissions says they are still waiting for absentee ballot reports.the city has until 8 o'clock tonight to report those.there still are a few other wards

making news around the country... rescuers believe they have found the body of a missing skier in nevada. nevada.the man in his sixties got caught in an avalanche at the mount rose ski resort on saturday.rescue teams started looking for him that afternoon... but they later called off the search for the night because of weather conditions.the skier was with another man.. who managed to get away from the avalanche. a guilty verdict in the shooting death of former n-f-l ar orleans jury voted to convict cardell hayes of multiple charges, including manslaughter.last april, hayes shot the former saints player after a traffic dispute. smith's wife was also shot during the incident, but recovered.hayes had argued he fired in self defensehe faces up to forty years in prison when he is sentenced in february. if you're planning on visiting florida---governor "rick scott"... has some good news about the fight against the zika virus. virus."the south beach area now does not have any local

its galaxy note seven phone. that's the smartphone samsung stopped selling back in october due to a battery issue ...that caused some phones to catch fire while charging.more than 90-percent of all note sevens in the u-s have been returned to samsung.now the company wants to make sure remaining users get rid of their phones.samsung will release a software update on december 19th that if downloaded.. blocks the note seven from re-charging.that would make the phone unusable. not everyone is supporting says it won't push the update to its customers who are still using the recalled note seven. reax 3 3 coming up ...a great hockey tradition...the teddy bear toss! details ahead. 3

mount la crosse decided to take advantage of the big snow storm over the weekend. the ski hill opened up yesterday...for the first time this season. mount la crosse was planning to open on thursday...but because of the fresh snow... they wanted to kick off the a early. despite a warm fall... mount la crosse's owners say the snow is helping them stay right on track. although they were only able to open one slope yesterday... they say they're happy to start the season.
