with an update on hurricane matthew. >> mt. last minute ago, we got an update that it is a major hurricane, the second of season, a category three, wind at 115 miles per hour in the caribbean, moving west/southwest. it's going to drift down, remain a category 3 hurricane before making the turn to the north on sunday. when it makes that turn to the north will be critical as to much impact the state of florida will. have it's expected to pass by jamaica as a category 3 monday morning, cross over cuba, through bahamas, weakening to a category 3. it's way off the coast but we're keeping an eye on it. the hurricane hunters have been trying in on this storm. the strongest wind speeds, 113
they upgraded to a category 3 hurricane. almost all the computer models, making that turn to the north, pushing it to the bahamas. a couple models get it close to the east coast of florida, which is one reason why we're not taking our eye off this until we make sure it turns to the north. weave been watching a couple of tiny showers all morning long that have pushed on shore, spring hill, you're getting a and spotty showers in the southern portion of sarasota. not a huge chance. rain chances going up slightly for sunday and monday. matthew expected to stay off the east coast but that track could change. we'll talk more coming up. >> we'll check back, leigh,
