the big news in history changed relations between the us and cuba. president barack obama is playing to visit cuba. that trip is planned for next month. the white house will release more details of the travel plans later today. >> marybel rodriguez is live on the visit. >> reporter: good morning. agreed to our news partners president barack obama is expected to visit cuba on march 21. if this should happen he will be the first sitting us president to visit the communist island in almost 90 years. it's been more than one year since the us again normalizing relations between the us and cuba. the white house is announcing conditions are right for the president to visit cuba. but not everyone agrees. secretary of state john kerry travel to have been out in august to reopen the us embassy. a couple of months later

a website. a church camp counselor is in the broward county jail accused of having sex with a 14- year-old girl he met at his camp. carey codd has more from the church by the glades in coral springs. >> reporter: 19-year-old sylvester perrone is accused of sexual battery on underage girl. is also accused of violating the trust at the church by the glades in coral springs. the broward sheriff's office met the underage victim while she attended summer camp at the church and he was a counselor for middle school students. >> overtime he gained her trust. he found some vulnerabilities and took advantage sexually. >> reporter: perrone and the 14- year-old girl engaged in a sexual relationship for five months beginning last september. the sex acts took place at the church and at the girl's home. the girl's parents brought evidence of the crimes to detectives and they arrested him. >> we believe it's a sanctuary

camp and they worship at the place where she was violated. we understand there is definitely a level of mistrust and hurt that goes with that. >> reporter: the church by the glades we statement that read the pastors and leaders of church by the glades were saddened to learn about the alleged terminal and sinful behavior on the part of one of our attendees. our first and greatest concern is the well-being healing and protection of the victim and family. it's our desire as always to fully cooperate with the authorities involved to see that justice is served. >> reporter: he's being held until -- on eight counts of sexual battery. i asked if they thought they were could be other victims but they don't believe there is. if someone knows of other victims they should contact the broward sheriff's office. to the post -- pope's tripped mexico. he's headed home this morning after a whirlwind trip before
