plus, this woman showed up at her home to find this, a car inside her kitchen. good morning, it's saturday, february 13th. i'm daralene jones. let's get you outside to get a live look over downtown orlando. the sun is making its way out. there is a little fog in the area. marina jar rick is in is he very weather center 9. >> it's cloudy for now but pristine sunshine in a few hours. as we take a look at satellite and radar, clouds are ahead of the front. it's taking its time. it's sittings on top of marion and flagler county. we are in the 50s and warm up into the 60s into the afternoon. you can see that that cold front is starting to veer the

winds will be out of the north at 10 to 15 this afternoon. we will look at temperatures in the 60s pretty much area wide with a couple of upper 50s in flagler and volusia county roost line. we are working to find out when an escaped inmate will return to florida. he escaped three weeks ago. they were found 800 miles way in kentucky. eyewitness news this morning's julie salomone is in daytona shores where they were last seen. the grandfather is relieved no one was hurt. >> he was relieved because all three of them were caught and there were no problems after u.s. marshals caught them. the prisoner escaped from this hotel in daytona beach shores during a work release program.

took gary and his girlfriend natasha into custody about 3:30 friday. they were located in kentucky. everybody is safe. the child it is in protective custody until he can be placed with family. about three weeks ago he left a prison facility for a work release program at a hotel. he cut off the angle monitor bracelet and took off with his girlfriend. we spoke with the grandfather of the 3-year-old and take a listen to what he told us. >> the main thing is my grandson is coming home. believe me, you don't know how happy i am. >> and bullock is facing charges now for escaping and taking off that ankle monitor bracelet. his girlfriend is facing charges for helping him and we are told additional charges are pending. julie salomone, eyewitness news this morning.

brevard county homeowner came home to find car in her kitchen. take a look at this video. this happened in melbourne. the homeowner told us she was at her sister's house when a neighbor told her about the crash. this isn't the first time her home has been hit. >> i had an incident on december the 10th where i also had a car come through the sun room and they just don't seem to stop on forest lake. >> state troopers are investigating what caused the crash. no injuries have been reported so far. orlando police returned to the scene of a deadly nightclub shooting in the heart of the tourist corridor. two people were killed and severity others were injured in the shooting. we watched as crime scene investigators carried out camera equipment from inside the club. we speck to an expert with a gang unit at the orange county jail. he said they spend time

coming from. >> what we call kind of reverse engineering to try to determine whether or not they are bringing their gang trends to us. >> yesterday we learned police arrested jose lopez the night of the shooting. he bounded out of jail on charges of concealing a weapon and tampering with evidence. police expect more arrests in the future. the republican candidates for president will square off in south carolina. donald trump was in tampa looking to expand his lead in florida. what the rally means at this point in the race. >> reporter: donald trump focused mostly on policy, not attacking his rivals. in a way he almost didn't need to talk about the other guys since he is leading them in most polls. >> we are angry because we are

people packed into the sun dome to hear the leading republican presidential candidate. trump delivered on a promise that he would not use foul language after other challengers attacked him with his sharp tongue. >> who will pay for the wall? who. >> mexico. >> reporter: trump is fresh off his win in the new hampshire primary. he spent most of the night talking issues. he didn't hold back when it came to jeb bush. >> jeb, he is asleep. he is asleep at the wheel, folks. no, seriously. can you imagine jeb negotiating with china. >> donald trump go way. >> reporter: not everyone agreed with the message. about 50 protestors were outside. inside supporters say his tough talk is why they like him. >> he appeared presidential to me. >> he speaks his heart.

out and he shot three people. he is not a bethune-cookman university student. we are working to gather more information about the story. we will have an update in a few minutes. the most powerful democrat in the u.s. senate wants alan grayson to end his bid for the u.s. senate. harry reid said congressman alan grayson needs to drop out of the race. he is questioning his connections to an offshore hedge fund. grayson claims it is legal. he says the accusations are a political attack. orlando police internal affairs officer is under investigation accused of hitting a vehicle in her city issued car and driving away after she was drinking. >> how long ago do you think the last beer was? >> this dash cam a video shows anna coughlin after the incident in altamonte springs. she said she wasn't in an accident but a 911 call err saw

her license plate. when officers arrived they found damage in her car. police gave her a citation for hit and run. >> the 911 driver described her as being highly intoxicated. >> that is something that the officer took into account but everybody's definition of highly intoxicated is full spectrum. >> she is now off the job. altamonte springs police are not investigating how their officer handled the call. the seminole county school district has not reached an agreement to give teachers a raise but there has been significant progress in negotiations. the teacher's union is asking for a 4% raise instead of 6%. the district is standing firm on the 2.5% offer. they added $2 million to the benefits package. we told you thursday night construction crews closed u.s. 17/92 from park avenue to

news in daytona beach. police are looking for a man that they say shot three bethune-cookman students killing one in a clubhouse there.

response at that location earlier this morning. police are looking for this man you see here. investigators say a party was being held inside the clubhouse at the indigo lakes country club and a fight started. they then say he shot and killed a man. a woman an innocent bystander was shot in the head and is in critical condition at halifax hospital. another man was shot in the back. he is not a bethune-cookman university student. we will bring you updates throughout the newscast. marina jury jurica is in severe weather center 9. >> according shot of downtown orlando. this is looking to the north. there is the clearing line. it's coming. the cold front will be pushing through.

through with it. satellite regard showing the -- radar showing the clouds. we can see the cooler air will invade behind it. this front is strong but not as strong as the one that we saw earlier this week. we will see breezy conditions with winds out of the north about 10 to 15 inland and up to 20 miles per hour on the coast. you could see a little low lying fog out there. worse in sumter and polk county. we have a touch of fog in clermont, kissimmee, sanford, daytona beach and titusville. that will improve quickly. i'm talking the next 30 to 80 minutes. that front is quickly pushing through. in the 50s right now. it's quite mild. it won't stay that way. into the afternoon, upper 60s. not bad but it will be cooler than yesterday for sure. the front is passing. we are getting cooler. lots of sunshine. crystal clear night on tap with low 40s. the front clearing quickly. by 9:00 a.m., everything will be nice and clear. we will see pristine sunshine

tomorrow morning clouds will increase. we can see p see coastal showers in the mid- to late morning hours. that could push through the i-4 corridor and we could see an isolated shower through the afternoon and evening hours. it will be coastal with the onshore flow but a couple of showers could move in to the i- 4 corridor as well. average high is 73. we won't hit it for this stretch. only tuesday will we see above average temperatures. we will stay below average. in brevard county today along the coastline, we could see up to 20 miles per hour winds. the temperatures in the low to mid-60s. in melbourne around bay tree as well as the indian river colony club temperatures are comfortable. 40s tonight. 37 in ocala. it will be clear and chilly. looking at that five-day forecast, with your weekend always in view, goes we are going to stay in the 60s through the weekend. we will see a big temperature hike on monday before our next front moves through monday into

temperatures the rest of the week. >> investigators are okay a $5,000 reward for tips leading to the arrest of a murder suspect. last august, devon little was shot inside the con coulds on white house -- condos. they believe demario robinson is involved. he used to live in the area. orlando police are investigating what happened in the moments leading up to the murders of two brothers. the double shooting happened sunday near the metro west area. earlier this week we told you officers identified 34-year-old antonio jones as one of the victims. on friday they told us his brother christian was the other victim. no other details have been released. fewer guns are on the streets of orange county after the sheriff's gun buy back event. people have a chance to turn in

deputies say the goal is to promote responsible gun ownership. >> we don't want to have any guns on the streets that shouldn't be on the street. certainly if you can't be responsible for the gun any more, we will take it back off your hands. >> it wrapped up at 7:00 last night. all gun collected will be checked to see if they were used in any crimes or reported stolen. we put together a slide show of the guns collected yesterday. you can see them for yourself at wftv.com/slide shows. central florida counties are working to stop the fred of the zika virus. there are fears the mosquito- borne virus can cause pregnant women to miss scary. the fog machine is one of the most powerful tools it has to trap and kill mosquitoes but it doesn't work in cooler months. >> our main focus for our program is to search for larva and kill the larva.

breaking, daytona beach police are searching for a man that they say shot three bethune-cookman students at a party killing one of them. it happened at the indigo lakes country club a mile from the daytona international speedway. we told you earlier in the newscast about the story and the large police response to that location. we have been working to gather more information and we have confirmed police are searching for the man we just told you about, lamont poto junior. a fight broke out at a party. police say he shot johnson. a woman an innocent bystander was shot in the head.

breaking now, daytona beach police are searching for this man that they say shot three bethune-cookman students at a party killing one of them. it happened at the indigo lakes country club about a mile from the daytona international speedway. we told you earlier in the newscast about the large police presence at the location earlier this morning. we have been working to get new details. we learned police are searching for this man, lamont poto junior. police say a fight broke out inside a party at the clubhouse. police say he killed johnson. a woman, an innocent bystander was also shot in the head. she is in critical condition at halifax hospital and another man was shot in the back. we are working to learn his condition. poto is not a bethune-cookman university student. we are working to get more information about this story and we have a reporter heading

we will let you know when we get more information. meteorologist marina jurica is in severe weather center 9 where she is tracking cooler weather. some people called this a picture perfect weekend. >> i think it's a picture perfect weekend. i had a little discussion on social media with people who are excited about the cooler temperatures and others that want it to stay in the 70s. we have seen a lot of people enjoying their morning walk. the cold front is moving through quickly. it's just about to push through orange county then continue to shift to the south within the next hour. we are in the 50s. we will warm up into the mid- to upper-60s with a couple of 50s in palm coast and daytona beach. we will be cooler with a northerly wind 10 to 15. i will track when the next front brings us a better chance of rain coming up. developing now, a flagler

head to kentucky to pick up his grabbed son after u.s. marshals found him with his mother and an escaped inmate. u.s. marshals caught garrick bugly junior. he was at a work release site three weeks ago. quigley showed up with her 3- year-old son, cut off the monitor then they took off. >> it's a relief. it's a relief that she is safe. i had a lot of scenarios in my mind how this could end. >> bullock and quigley are facing charges in the escape. the brevard county deputy fired and arrested for his alleged sexual misconduct will be prosecuted by a different law enforcement agency. former deputy barry taylor lost his job after he was accused of having sex with a female inmate. a new document from the

department asked for a new department to step in. an ocoee police officer resigned after he came forward with information that his lieutenant may have information from gang members. he and other officers were tipped off by informants that claim he was selling drugs and protecting gang members. he was written up for taking the information to the orange county sheriff's office and not taking it to his department. the main suspect in a brinks armored truck heist rejected a plea deal and is scheduled to go on trial in may. take a look at this surveillance video. the man you see here stealing a bag of cash is charles schultz. investigators say he grabbed the bag while the brinks driver was loading an atm last october. schultz rejected a deal to pay back $52,000 that is still

required to serve 10 years in prison. crime scene investigators spent all night looking for clues at an orlando nightclub where two people were killed nearly a week ago. police arrested one person in the shooting. the suspect bonded out of jail. police won't say why they returned to the nightclub overnight but eyewitness news reports the police chief says detectives are working around the clock to search for more suspects. reporter: nearly a week after a deadly gun battle erupted, police and the crime scene unit are back out here. they surrounded the club with yellow tape. the two men killed in the club, rojas according to a newspaper out of puerto rico say he was a suspect in seven violent crimes there and sources that believe the gunman could have been ordered by a drug kingpin out of orlando.

breaking news in daytona beach. police are looking for a man that they say shot three bethune-cookman university students killing one of them. we told you about the large police presence at a country club earlier this morning. police won't release much information but we have confirmed they are searching for this man, lamont postell junior. investigators say the shooting broke out after a fight at the indigo lakes country club not far from the speedway. police say postell shot and killed done donmar. a woman is in critical condition. another man was shot in the back. postell is not a bethune- cookman university student. we are working to get information about this shooting and will bring you updates throughout the newscast. we have a reporter heading to the scene. time is 7:40.

seminole county deputies are searching for the suspect that shot and killed a teenager. he was shot on central street in altamonte springs last month in broad daylight. investigators say it will take more help from the community to

the u.s. coast guard says a cruise ship was damaged. anthem of the seas hit the rough weather on the way back to the bahamas from new jersey. at one point it almost stopped in port canaveral. it's unclear if the damage prevented the ship from docking. they are pushing for an investigation why the captain continued despite the storm. we have video that shows you what firefighters are faced with in the line of fire. take a look. the volusia county professional firefighters association shot this video using a helmet camera. this fire was last week on culverhouse drive and holly hills. you can see how the flames spread to the cars and plants on the driveway. the owner got out safely. no word on what sparked the blaze. >> a young girl got to meet the lake county firefighter and hero who saved her life. shannon bush was awarded firefighter of the year.

with his family in orlando. a strange rear pulled taylor -- stranger pulled taylor out of a pool. he performed cpr saving her life. the family drove 14 hours to be at the ceremony. >> is this your hero? >> we had to come. we had to. like we wouldn't miss it. >> the two families say they are now connected for life. that is pretty cool. >> great story. >> firefighters always working on or off duty. >> definitely. we are going to be looking at a day that hopefully a lot of you are off duty today. it's beautiful. lots of sunshine. daytona beach, look at those birds enjoying the morning. we have seen so many people enjoying the morning walk or run on this live shot. it will be a pretty decent day to head to the beach. we will see a small craft advisory but overall it's looking good. the cold front is making its way as we head into the next two hours. it will be completely clear of the entire state.

it will leave us with cooler and, of course, breesyer conditions as we head into the day today but quite lovely. we are dealing with a touch of fog in clermont, sanford and daytona beach. it's clearing quickly. temperatures in the 50s. letter a mild start. we will be 15 degrees cooler into tomorrow morning. you can see that we are starting to see everyone switch into that northerly wind as that front pushes through. ment behind it, northerly winds per hour. future track 9 hour by hour showing it will clear very quickly as we head into 10:00 a.m. we are crystal clear and the front is well to the south. looking at tomorrow, early in the morning, we could see a few isolated showers on the coastline. then that could push into the i- 4 corridor into the afternoon and evening. but it is just about a 10% shot and it will be isolated into early monday morning. now, our first front pushing through this morning as we head

breaking right now on eyewitness news daytona beach police are searching for this man after they say he shot three bethune-cookman university students killing one of them. we told you about the large police response to a country club. this shooting happened at the indigo lakes country club about a mile from the daytona international speedway and four miles from bethune-cookman university. eyewitness news this morning's julie salomone is live at the country club. investigators say this started with a fight at a party. >> reporter: yeah, the fight started inside the clubhouse. if you take a look, this is a golf course community. there is a golf course in the area, several homes in the area and the fight started inside.

we told you about how several officers rushed to that location earlier this morning. the shooting happened at the indigo lakes country club a mile from the daytona international speedway and about four miles from bethune- cookman university. eyewitness news this morning's julie salomone is there this morning. how are the other victims doing? >> reporter: the other male victim is expected to be all right. he was alert and in stable condition. the female victim is in critical condition. just within the last few minutes i saw daytona beach police. they were out here taking another look at the area in the daytime hours because keep in 1:00 a.m. this morning. let's go ahead and take a look at the video we have from early, early this morning. daytona beach police are lamont postell junior. police say he got a gun out and shot and killed 23-year-old donkevious johnson after a

county. the main suspect in a brinks armored truck heist rejected a plea deal and is scheduled to go on trial as planned in may. take a look at this surveillance video. orange county deputies say the man here is charles schultz. they say he grabbed the bag while the brinks driver was loading an atm. schultz rejected a deal to pay back $52,000 that is still missing. he would have had to serve 10 years in prison. crime scene investigators spent all night looking for clues at an orlando nightclub where two people were killed nearly a week ago. police arrested one person in the shooting. the suspect bonded out of jail. police won't say why they returned to the nightclub overnight but eyewitness news reports the police chief says detectives are working around the clock to search for more suspects. reporter: nearly a week after a deadly gun battle erupted, police and the crime scene unit are back out here.

some areas are seeing the 60s this morning. >> that's right. we are seeing the cold front push through. now it's pushed through the downtown orlando area. it's sifting through the far southeastern counties. it will be out of here within the next 30 minutes. our current temperatures are in the upper 50s. so, we are nice and warm. but wind speeds are starting to show that we are getting that north, northwesterly wind up to 15 miles per hour inland and 20 miles per hour on the coast as we head behind the front. today we are looking at 60s overall. we may get an upper 50 in flagler or marion county. mainly 60s which will feel good with northerly winds 10 to 15 miles per hour. daralene? it's hawk nestingwatch out for the birds when season.you go to the library. city officials placed signs warning people at the library and around city hall a month ago. one swooped over our camera when we were there yesterday.

we uncovered plans to expand the orlando international airport. karla ray got a closer look. it comes after explosive growth there. >> reporter: we found out the expansion plans will have four more new gates. sim low pressurer, faster, better, that is the motto. >> getting in and out is so much easier. >> reporter: that convenience soar in popularity. 2 million people came through setting a record. domestic passengers tripled from a lull of 2010. >> that is impressive. the word is getting around. >> that's the push behind the expansion plans. four new domestic gates with a cost of around $45 million. >> when you reach a certain capacity level then you need to start planning for the next phase.

airport saw a record number of passengers traveling through the airport last year. in 2015 more than 38 million passengers came through o.i.a. that breaks the previous record set in 2007 of almost 36 1/2 million travelers. that is about 2 1/2 million more. international and domestic travel saw a big increase. school grades have finally been released to brevard, seminole and sumter earned a. district officials say the credit should go to teachers in the classroom. >> they focused on teaching the standards. the standards for their particular subject and did an outstanding job. >> the validity has been questioned because of technical issues. earlier this week the orange county school district sent out a tweet saying the grades hold little value. if you would like to see how your school district or a specific school, we posted the

of course, when we put out the live shot of daytona beach, just the birds. people are enjoying the morning walk on the coast. it will be an inviting but cooler day on the coastline. satellite radar showing the cold front continuing to push through the far southern counties. it's still pushing through portions of polk, osceola and brevard county but for the next 30 minutes. a touch of fog in daytona and titusville but we are improving quickly. we will warm up to the 60s. not the mid-70s that we saw yesterday. wind speeds showing the telltale sign that at this time eye only southern brevard. the cold front has really pushed through a good portion of the viewing area because we have the northerly winds. up to 15 miles per hour inland and up to 20 miles per hour along the coast into the day today. future track 9 showing by 10:00 a.m. completely clear and looking at lots of sunshine. then an onshore flow tomorrow.

we continue to follow breaking news in daytona beach. police are trying to find a man that they say shot three students killing one of them. this is a live scene where the shooting happened around 1:00 this morning. this is a mile from are the daytona international speedway and four miles from bethune- cookman. postell junior. investigators say the shooting started after a fight. a woman, an innocent bystander was shot in the head. halifax medical center. another man was shot in the back. he is in stable condition. postell is not a bcu student. we will continue to monitor this breaking story on eyewitness news this morning as wow.
