morning. at noontime, 34 degrees in in come the clouds and by 3 p.m., we will start to see the first of the rain and the snow. and makes a pretty rapid change over. and by 7 p.m. issues on the roadway and take you through it hour by hour and where we can get the most accumulation coming up in a couple of minutes. julie, i hear that the evening commute is probably going to be a lot worse than what we are dealing with this morning. >> julie: when we have those kind of conditions on the way. it is always problematic on the road. other breaking traffic news. mass state police letting us know there has been a wrong-way head-on crash on 128 southbound head-on crash on 128 in burlington. all lanes are closed right now. 128 northbound we know a highly traveled part of that morning commute. so unless they get that open before we see the major volume, it will cause significant delays in your drive times. take taking a look at the pike. that is moving along fine. 93 south and route 1 are open.

before route 3 in burlington where we are seeing the major issue right now. you can see volume light on the zakim bridge and on the leverett connector. here are your live drive times. 24 minutes on the pike from 495 to mass avenue. 11 minutes on the expressway from the braintree split to the exit to the pike. 23 minutes on 128 northbound from route -- southbound from route 1 in peabody to the weston tolls. i will work on any drive time so-to-have a fresh graphic for you coming up. now to breaking news overseas. turkish media reports say several people have been killed in an explosion in istanbul. the explosion happened in the most popular tourist area of the city. witnesses say the scene is just awful. we will be following the latest developments out of turkey and will bring them to you all morning. police in brockton are looking for clues this morning at an apartment complex. a teenager who lives there is shot right through his kitchen window. >> reporter: investigators say bullet ripped through the wall. fox25's jessica reyes is live in brockton this morning where

the gunman. jess? >> and julie, police say this teen was just a completely innocent victim. they said he was standing in his kitchen inside his apartment complex you see across the street when a bullet flew through a window and hit him in the back. now out crews were here on scene as this was just breaking last night. police say this was at least one shooting on pine grove drive yesterday. several police officers were here coming through evidence and collected more than a dozen shell case information the area shell case information the area. the victim was 17 years old and one woman tells us she was horrified to learn her family friend had been shot here. >> reporter: what did you hear, ma'am? >> six gunshots. >> reporter: what did you think >> reporter: what did you think? >> i just heard them and we didn't know until afterwards what happened. >> reporter: so how are you feeling? >> not good. it is my neighbor's son. he was like family. >> reporter: that teenager was rushed to the hospital, but he is expected to survive. and police continue to search

now police say they had actually been called to this complex a couple of hours before for a separate report of gunfire yesterday. and coming up in the next half hour, what they found on that call this is raising a lot of questions this morning. we are live in brockton this morning, jessica reyes, fox25 news. >> daniel: huge flames en gulf a building in mattapan trapping a man inside. investigators say the business on the bottom floor may have contributed to the fire. fox25's catherine parrotta is live in mattapan this morning where fire fighters had to perform cpr to save one person trapped inside. >> reporter: yeah, that person was inside this building that you see here behind me. this is 130 babson street here in mattapan. looks like a house and a dentist office and some apartments in that building as well, and it is estimated that that damage is $500,000. as for that person who needed to be taken out of that building, that was the dentist's son found in cardiac arrest inside. investigators say this fire was accidental and they believe it

equipment. they got the call around 4 p.m. for in four-alarm fire. the building is owned by 83-year-old dentist dr. walter holman and in the surveillance video you see a man believed to be the dentist leaving the building before fire fighters arrived but his adult son was still trapped inside. fire fighters found him unresponsive in the back door of the building. >> they put him on a blanket and put him on the sidewalk and started working on him and brought him to an ambulance and kind of doing the chest compressions and had a bag over his face. >> reporter: this is video of that man being carried into the ambulance. officials say ems workers were able to revive him and get a pulse. and into update on his condition right now, but at last check, officials were hopeful for the best. now meantime, witnesses who live in this area say this fire escalated very quickly and you are going to hear them describe that the next half hour. live in mattapan, catherine

police in fall river are searching for a man involved in a wild knife attack on a convenience store clerk. take a look at this incredible surveillance video early sunday morning. a man rushed into jared's market on 5th street in fall river. the robber jumps on the counter and as you can see started swinging a knife and said give me money. the owner pulled his own large life in behind the counter and starts slashing at the suspect. the two mennonite the two men fight for nearly a minute. eventually the suspect steals $200 from the register before running off. the same thing happened at the store back in 2015. the owner used the large knife to scare off the suspect in that case. the robber was arrested 30 minutes later. the owner said he was not hurt in either incident. tonight, president barack obama will deliver his final state of the union address. the white house says the president will express optimism in the address. he is also expected to address

refugee crisis. will discuss the state of the union and then have reaction at the fox25 news at 10 and 11 the fox25 news at 10 and 11. a 9-year-old refugee who lost his arms in a air strike will be in washington for the speech. his name is ahmad. he is seeking asylum and he wrote a letter to president obama asking for help. he will be a guest of massachusetts congressman seth moulton. the clock is ticking as we inch closer to the new hampshire primary and the former first daughter is here to drum up support for her mother. chelsea clinton will campaign in new hampshire for her mom. right now clinton is on a book tour. she made a stop in boston yesterday. clinton said she hopes her book inspiring inspires young adults to pay attention to what politicians say. chelsea clinton will be in the nation's capitol at 9:45. fired.

first-degree murder in the death of baby doe. accused of beating bella board to death. and the case is all based on rachelle bond's word. its case is due back in court next month. looking for the cause of a deadly fire in gloucester. fox25 was on the scene as this was breaking yesterday morning. one man was killed when flames destroyed the second floor of his home on hammond street. investigators have not released the name of the victim but neighbors say he lived alone in the house. a convicted murderer will again try to get parole decades after he raped and killed a woman 373-year-old korean flynn was killed had her home 25 years ago. gerald calfry. before confessing, calfry mourned alongside them. >> he is a monster. he raped and murdered my

we want to bring you an update on that breaking news we have. a wrong-way driver has caused an accident that has closed all lanes of 128 northbound in burlington. it is right prior to route 3. if you were headed in that direction, you are going to need to avoid it and take a detour because right now all northbound lanes of 128 are closed. shiri? 7:00 this morning and even right now, we have temps in the teens and 20s with just a few clouds. but by 5 p.m., temps in the 30s. we have got a little bit of rain out there, but we also got a quick changeover to snow and in spots, even some heavy snow. we will look at the accumulation next. local lawmakers are out west researching -- researching recreational marijuana and fox25 is with them. coming up on the fox25 morning news, the warning about selling candy and baked goods made with pot. and just about everyone is day dreaming and some even pray day dreaming and some even praying about hitting the big

really become snow-covered. and those lights are going to be pretty quick change over to snow, especially in and around the boston area. perhaps just a little bit later for the south shore, the cape and the islands, but it will change over for you folks as well. the problem i am seeing. you see the deeper shade of purple. this is denoting not just light snow showers, but the potential of snow calls with, bursts of heavy snow during the evening commute and even here at 10 p.m. all of us will be seeing snow now. we have the potential for heavy snow as it winds down by midnight giving us a coating to an inch of snow from boston down into southeastern massachusetts. west of 128 and 95. i have got 1 to 2 inches of snow and over the board near new hampshire. a couple of spots getting 2 or 4 inches, but i think one to two will do it for most of us. temperature-wise about 40 in boston. tonight we have temperatures certainly cold enough to support all snow for everybody with temperatures back into the 20s. and tomorrow, we are going to
