tropical system named hermine. dangerous surf and seas. that's going to start happening tomorrow and it could last through the middle of next week. with the low astronomical tide minor beach erosion and coastal flooding with the situation as it stands. the strength in the track is uncertain. a wobbly ocean storm. the south coast, the cape and the islands has the best chance for tree and power line damage sunday strong wind gusts are possible. here is hermine. notice this front i've drawn in. it's beginning to transition into an extra tropical storm think along the line was a nor'easter. you see the tropical storm warnings and the watches in the oranges and the yellows. we have a watch south of our islands here. boaters 20 foot seas 50 miles an

that watch may be expanded farther north ward in time. so let me show you the tropical track. look at the wins 60 miles an hour it's moving quickly out into the atlantic. it's going to hit warm water and slow down. it has potential to reintensify. you see the winds up to 70 miles an hour early monday. could approach hurricane intensity winds out there. let's look now picture. high pressure over low pressure. and hermine getting trapped in between. that's why it's going to slow down over the water. any time you have a slow moving tropical system hanging over warm water it has a potential to reorganize and gain energy. these are the different computer forecast models that are showing tracks and intensities.

them are keeping the system off shore from the atlantic coast. off shore is where warm water is. we have a lot to keep track of. and look at the seas up top 20 plus feet. that is building our direction. so some rough rip currents and seas are going to be a problem for the rest of the weekend. today looks good. low and middle 60s now. upper 60s on cape cod. afternoon highs reach the lower and middle 70s despite the filtered up ahead of this tropical system. get egg bit of sun through there. let's talk wind. it's not a problem so much today. as we get into tomorrow we start to see those tropical storm strength wind of gusts late today on the islands and building on cape cod overnight. waking up on labor day tracking rain and wind on the south coast and monday afternoon. we see some improvement.
