this is just one of pictures filling up social media on iceland. the bbc off the city street lights to give everyone there an amazing view of the northern lights. they had only planned to turn off the lights from ten to 11 but the northern lights didn't show up quite on time so they kept the lights off until midnight. residents were also asked to turn off the lights at home to cut down on light pollution as you can see the results were spectacular. >> julie: looks like instagram filter. man from north dakota gets to leave out dream of every sports fan around the world. david johnson at yesterday's practice round which is a huge golf tournament and heckling player about pup they were having trouble with and, in fact, first told the golfer he was just giving him a hard time. golfers offered him $100 to make

sexually assaulted her and toward waldon street and not the only sexual assault incidentally and another incident happened thursday night around 10:00, the victim was victim who had been walking on jamaicaway with come pannian and both are under investigation and police haven't said if the same suspect may be involved and those that live and work in the area are on alert. >> i'm particularly very vigilant, don't walk with headphones for those reasons and didn't hear of anything like this happening before. that's shocking. >> police urging to be on alert, be vigilant like woman you just heard from and continue to investigate this and trying to find the suspect or suspects and asking for the public's help.

>> julie: family says school committee and dozen school employees failed to respond to the incident which happened at summer football camp in 2013. court documents say the boy was held down by teammates and assaulted with broomstick. three teens were charged as juveniles. the suit names school's former football coach and exsuperintendent as defendants. the family seeking at least $300,000 in damages. >> daniel: man will go before a judge kill his three-year-old nephew. he actually dialed 911 and confessed to the crime. stephanie coueignoux live outside the worcester courthouse where the arraignment will take place this morning. >> stephanie: 21-year-old appears before the judge in the courtroom right here behind me. police say this all started when

>> told three-year-old nephew and left him inside the apartment. >> this is part of the 911 call yesterday and relaying the message that man called 911 saying he just killed three-year-old nephew. police identified the man as 21-year-old taj mcdonald and police arrived on country club best found three-year-old on couch with injuries to face and was he immediately brushed to the hospital. man who wanted to remain anonymous told us he was outside when heard the boy crying but wasn't sure what was going on. >> sounded like he was screaming but pretty much crying and sometimes screaming but don't know if he was in pain. i don't know, i have no idea. >> sky fox flew over the scene

men broke into a home yesterday morning and at least one of them had a gun. the suspects took two safes from the home but dropped them when officers arrived. police quickly captured two of the men and spent hours searching for the other two. during that time officers made sure students at local schools were safe. >> when school dismissal time what the thieves were after but applied to warrant. >> daniel: warning neighbors about concerned credit card scam. woman picked up mail and one of the envelopes had address but had a different name. later man showed up at front door asking for mail that belonged to him and she refused and called 911. man barged his way book looking for the mail. inside was credit card suspect applied for with stolen

for the game tonight and game tomorrow and seeing fewer showers around on sunday so hopefully with any issues around there and massive moisture crawling toward us today and taking over as we head into the weekend right now this chunk of rain going to impact primarily eastern massachusetts here traveling through the rest of the morning and by noon time we have some probably lighter showers over massachusetts and timeline slowed since this morning. around 2:00 p.m. we should see the showers start to move into the boston area up to about the mass pike, but the problem is by 5:00 this afternoon we are then starting to add some downpours on top of that. so once things get wet they could escalate pretty rapidly here and for the evening hours even though it is not a guarantee or downpours pass over boston they will be pretty close and monitoring them. kevin lemanowicz will start
