at intersection of comm ave and lake street. make sure it is on your radar. heading out to the roads, a little bit of volume building on 95 in canton as you approach 128. pretty typical of traffic flows right now on 93 south from medford into somerville and route 1 in saugus. this kind of bumper-to-bumper traffic will stay with us the next two hours. here are live drive times, 128 the expressway, 51 minutes on 93 south from andover, 52 minutes. i will have another check of these in ten minutes. back to you. >> gene: we are following developing news out of revere this morning where a train hit a car last night slicing it in half. see the back half of the car was completely demolished. >> sara: amazingly the two women that were inside are okay. they were actually caught on surveillance video running from the scene and this morning police want to talk to them. jessica reyes live in revere

video, jess. >> jessica: sara, when you look at the surveillance video it is hard to believe that anyone made it out of that car alive last night. it all happened at this crossing here in revere just after 10:30, and police we know they have a whole lot of questions to the women you see in that surveillance video. you could see the video right here. if you watch closely at the very top of your screen, you can see the car drive right past the flashing lights on to the tracks and almost immediately the train barrels right into the car cutting it it really is hard to imagine anyone surviving that but seconds later didn't see a woman come running out and then another right behind her. they took off from the scene and this morning police are still trying to track them down and figure out who they are. we do have a look now at what is left of the car and it is barely recognizable you can see after all of that, very scary situation for everyone that was on board the train. we actually just spoke with man that lives in beverly, he was heading back from a celtics game

happened. here heard scraping underneath the train and wasn't sure what happened until the conductor got on the intercom and said, in fact, they had hit a car. this morning the investigation is well underway. police trying to figure out who the two people are. transit police we know they are handling the investigation and reached out to them to get update where they are at in thatir search since they made progress since this all happened last night and as soon as we get update from them we will pass it along here right on the fox25 morning news. live in revere, jessica reyes, >> gene: more than three months after the new york city woman was murdered after a jog detectives are announcing a possible break in the vanessa marcotte case. police say they are looking for a dark-colored suv that was last seen on the road where marcotte's body was found. live in princeton where the rural community remains on edge. michael, good morning. >> michael: good morning to you. the people here of princeton are on edge because this case remains unsolved in more than three months investigators are

information that investigators are looking for a dark-colored suv connected to the case. still no arrests in the murder of vanessa marcotte. the 27-year-old went for a jog while visiting her family in princeton in august. the worcester county district attorney says her body was found in the woods near brooke station road hours later. more than three months later the d.a. is releasing a new detail. witnesses saw a dark-colored suv parked on around the time they think the killing took place. not enough information for princeton residents still shaken by the brutal homicide. >> i do a lot of hiking in the woods, do a lot of hiking with friends, do some hiking alone. i would like some information that would help me make wise decisions about whether -- how safe that is and how safe that not is. >> michael: private investigated or thomas shamshak that is not related to the case spoke with fox25 on the phone.

police were called to the home on huntington avenue on tuesday and daughter told that labathe tried it will kill her and her mom. according to the police report he smashed five windows in the home as well as the window of the mom's suv. >> gene: all things presidential and donald trump and presidential team interview potential candidates for the cabinet. this as new report claims his son-in-law could be tapped for top position. fox25 daniel miller joins us now with more on today. >> daniel: the elevators in trump tower have been under watch trying to get a clue about the president-elect's cabinet. south carolina governor nikki haley expected to meet with trump today and she could be in the running for secretary of state. she is the first female and indian american governor. she has had a rocky past though with the president-elect. they endorsed both senators marco rubio and ted cruz and said repeatedly she was not a

she is not the only big name meeting with the president-elect today. japan's prime minister shinzo abe is on way to new york city to build trust and safeguard the alliance between united states and japan. during the campaign trump suggested he might withdraw the u.s. military from their shores leaving them to protect themselves from north carolina. prime minister is likely looking to find out how much of trump's statements were true and how much was campaign rhetoric. this morning the wall street journal is trump son-in-law, jared kushner, could get key role in his administration. sources say real estate developer and husband of ivanka could be tapped to senior advisory or special council. now, the trump administration laying out rules to cabinet members. all appointees will be asked to sign a form barring them from being registered lobbyist for five years after they leaved the government service. in the newsroom, i'm daniel miller, fox25 news.

tower yesterday. patriots owner robert kraft spotted at 2:00 in the afternoon and he was with goldman sachs owner. kraft did not say why he was there. he has been politically bipartisan in the past giving donations to democratic and republican candidates. >> sara: hillary clinton gave her first public appearance since delivering her concession speak more than a week ago. the organization advocate on children and clinton started her career as intern there. last night her speech was part reflection and part pledge to remain strong in the face of trump administration. >> i will admit coming here tonight wasn't the easiest thing for me. there have been a few times this past week when all i wanted to do is just to curl up with a good book or our dogs and never leave the house again.

>> gene: sister station in seattle saw costly services pushed and could it be happening in our area. >> reporter: office depot and office max which are the same company over a free pc tune-up for the computer and company says it week. our sister station found that office depot diagnosed problems that didn't exist so we sent a fox25 team out to test the service on our own. with hidden camera rolling we brought computers to three office max stores for the company's free pc health check. at the store in walpole good news. laptop passed. >> what did they say? >> said there's nothing wrong

journalist steve write took a different one. tech said it showed signs of poor performance, recommended fix between 149 and $199. >> and needed to get that taken care of soon they said. not necessarily today but within the next few days. >> reporter: fox25 producer took third laptop to office max in dorchester and also >> i need $149 worth of diagnostics on my computer for poor security and poor performance. >> what the office max employees didn't know was this. the computers we had them diagnosed including two that showed four performance were brand-new right out of the box. fox25 it manager only thing he did to computers was set up passwords.

>> sara: daniel miller joins with heartbreaking story you will see only on fox and fight to bring his body home. was contemplating for months on whether or not to go to this destination wedding and something for himself and ended up dying on his birthday. 34 years old he loved his family more than anything. three kids will now grow up without a father. five siblings and mother now forced to go on without him.

>> daniel: he was in jamaica for a friend's destination wedding and heading to cafe when wild animals got in front of their bus, speeding truck going by hit and killed lake and the bus driver. >> he tried to push my brother out of the way and struck. >> he asked all three of us we said yes. >> i didn't think i should spend that much money. >> daniel: he did on his birthday and all the family wants is to bring him back home but they can't. the jamaican government making them pay for medical expenses before they release his body. >> be patient.

we have new pictures from sky fox over a bus crash this is at main and maple in stoneham and see the pickup truck slammed right into the front of the bus so the right lane is blocked right now and we have quite a few people out on that corner milling around and have police cars on the scene and in the neighborhood it will slow things down in stoneham. it is not on one of the major arteries like 93 or 128. just wanted to show you thosix so you're aware if you live in the area. as we shift slightly southbound things slow going on the expressway from here are live drive times, 36 minutes on route 1 from 128 to the tobin. our drive time on 93 is really shot up, up to almost an hour and 15 minutes. 46 minutes on the pike eastbound from 495 to mass ave. a little bit of overcast dreary start but improvements ahead. >> shiri: a lot of gray skies and 49? and knocking door at 50

wind chill just a little bit out there. next couple hours we will take us into the lower 50s here at 9:00 a.m. and count on mostly cloudy skies, still no rain in the forecast for today. there's lucky part, future cast, overdoing the rain chance if you will out across the outer cape and noon time today i do have some thin spots in the clouds and going to keep it mostly cloudy, area wide across southern new england, middle 50s and into the afternoon it does tend to brighten up, mix of sun and scattered clouds this 5:00, headed home from work and already dark and temperatures around 50?. that's coming down from highs at 57 in boston and beverly and lawrence today up to nashua, new hampshire. 52 in worcester a little cooler there and new bedford all the way up to 58? and 55 in hyannis. thickest clouds actually going to be focused across eastern mass today and spots like worcester should see things brighten up. first keeping close eye on drought monitor and new information coming out in just
