massachusetts/new hampshire stateline. let's head south on 93 and go to stoneham. this 93 southbound. you have slow into boston on 93 southbound. the expressway take a look at drive time as you head out the door this morning. from 128. back to you guys. thank you so much. now to breaking news. four people lose their lives when fire tears through a home in lynn. two other were pulled from the fire and rushed to hospital. jennifer eagan is at the scene of the fire now with the latest. >> the fist crews to get here had to make a quick decision either start to pour water on to the home or get to people trapped inside. they decided to go but they couldn't get to everyone. >> cell phone video captured

and windows of a home in lynn. the flames and smoke trapped four inside. they didn't survive. four people died. firefighters say the four kills were in their late teen relevance o older. 19 people were living inside the two family home on bruce place. to my left i see them firefighter come into the house. this man on the first floor. >> the first firefighters on scene rescued two women on the second floor. they brought out the first victim they told me that heard moans on that from where that victim was. they went back and able to get the second victim out. it was absolutely amazing. hours later the scene was still dangerous. >> the home damaged so severely part of the top frame collapsed. the front wall was leaning out for a good two hours. we cordoned it off. created a collapse zone and

we knew at some point it would come down. now the investigation into what caused fire begins. >> i lost everything. everybody lost everything. >> no firefighters were hurt in this fire. of course it's too early to tell the cause right now in state fire marshall's office is investigating. they told us there were three apartments this, this building. investigator say they will look into the ownership and whether or not the fire alarms were working. we're live in lynn. jennifer eagan, news "today in new england." now latest on shooting in california. investigator searching for mowtive that killed 14 people in injured 21 others. >> neither suspect on terror watch list but the questions remains was this an act of terrorism or not. we are live in san berardino with more on this tragedy. >> what's important to remember

didn't believe any notes or something that would indicate this possible motive which means investigators are relying recovered. syed farook. including some very disturbing yesterday. vicious brutal acts will spare nothing in bringing them to justice and protecting the people along the way. officials are looking into the possibility syed farook was radicalized. they had information with more than one terrorism suspect. we continued to explode all the evidence possible. as eye said from day one the evidence will lead us to the facts. some of that evidence has been disclosed pointing toward a couple who was planning something.

relatively new cell phones in a garbage can near a crime scene. a computer missing its hard drive was recovered from the couple's home along with pipe bombs and ammunition. the san berardino county sheriff's office released photos. ammunition found inside the suv and the gear the attackers were wearing. >> it was unspeakable. the carnage that we are seeing. the number of people who were injured and unfortunately already dead. and the peer panic on the face of those individuals that were still in need >> vigils were held for the victims thursday night at mosque in chino, california at a stadium near the attack site. back out live to san berardino, california. you can see police stationed outside the building where that

police are still sealing it off. still technically considered an active crime scene. i can tell you right now the family of those 14 victims will continue to grieve but nonetheless with the support from the community as you just saw. by the way we learned yesterday that at least 12 of those 14 people killed on wednesday had direct personal ties to farook. they worked at the county along with the suspect. >> back to you. thank you. this morning we are learning more about the 14 lives lost in that attack. officials have now released all of their names as families and friends begin to remember those last in the senseless act of violence. victoria warren has more. >> this is a picture of grief ryan rays learning his boyfriend daniel coffman was killed initially he held out hope. i immediately freaked out tried to call him, text him. >> the couple had been together for three years kaufman ran the coffee shop at the inland regional center.

death during an office holiday party. also killed 37-year-old michaels we l. 58-year-old danger money means a health worker who played santa for children. 27-year-old sierra claiborne, loffing loffing a loving sister. they knew each other. they were both environmental health inspectors. >> he knew syed. he worked with him. he never had anything bad to say about him. he had battled obesity and diabetes. he recently found out he may have cancer. his wife believes he may have been targeted because he was devout jew. >> he believes in the jewish tradition. i wonder if they got into an argument. my husband is very outspoken. 21 people were also injured

charlie baker told the herald he thinks a bill should be passed like that. massachusetts and california have among the strikest gun laws in the country. them. according to congressional research numbers there are more than 300 million guns here in the united states. also breaking 16 people dead, three others hurt after a firebomb attack in cairo, egypt. this happened at restaurant. you see the video that thick smoke and flame, police are looking for two men who were allegedly not allowed the club prior to this incident. a security official said three men on a motorcycle threw molotov cocktails into the club. james morales in federal court today. in november he stole 16 weapons including 6 assault reiff ifles from the worcester armory. he broke in through kitchen

all six of the rifles and some of the handguns have been recovered. new details now in the stabbing death of worcester women. police releasing this video captured at a store across the street from the crime scene. it shows the moments before this women was killed. nicole oliverio has that story. >> grainy surveillance video captures the confrontation that led to a deadly stabbing on a worcester street. 31-year-old left bleeding after the attack her family now looking for answers. >> she was so much more beautiful than this and better than this. and no one deserves this. in a video you can see hill walking with two people. police say they can't make out faces and don't know what led up to the deadly stabbing. based on what we could see. looks like there was conversation taking place. we don't know what it was over, of course. but that's what we want to look into. police are looking for witnesses as badly as they are for the two people scene in the video.

several people that the investigators are trying to locate to interview that may have heard or seen something. mother of three great singer who attended berkeley and women who suffered from mental illness. she was a sweet person. she definitely deserved way more out of life than what she was given. >> one man told us that his friend saw the confrontation and believed that that there was an argument over social security card. police haven't confirmed a motive and are looking for the suspects >> nicole oliverio, 7 news "today in new england." transit police try to track down a man that assaulted another t rider. police say this man sped on and attacked the victim at the china townsation. they want anyone with information to please give them a call. a wall in her 50s is fighting for her life after being hit by a car in boston. the crash happened fare boston university last night.

being krooirt being cited but the investigation is ongoing. >> a judge denied a request by the defense. chism lawyers want a psychiatrist who reviewed the result of mri conducted on the teenagers brain to take the stand. experts say those results showed sign of schizophrenic. the judge decided thursday not to allow the testimony, though in part because the test were done two years after the murder of colleen ritzer. he was 14 when he said he raped and killed ritzer two years ago. she was his math teacher. they found her body in the wooded area behind the school. >> former lead singer for the stone temple pilots has died. skolt wieland manager said he died last night. found on tour bus in minnesota where his current band was set to may. he has struggled with substance abuse for years

a nice late fall early winter day with temperature this afternoon upper 40s we're headed for the 50s. we'll talk more about that coming up >> now to breaking news we been following this morning four people have been killed. after fire tears through a home in lynn. two more people had to be rushed from inside to the out. jennifer eagan at the scene of the fire now with the latest. jen? >> firefighters say as many as 19 people lived at this home bind us here when the first crew got here they had to decide whether to start pouring water on to home or make rescues they decided to go inside and make rescues. people were escaping from the building on their own. firefighter were able to get to two women trapped on the second floor. they were rushed to the hospital. one woman in her 60s scuffering from burns and smoke inhalation and another 18-year-old woman was taken to hospital. both are in stable condition according to firefighters.

three apartments here in the flame tore through the home when the fire broke out after midnight. in fact, the damage was so severe that the top frame of the home collapsed around 5:00 this morning. it was separate apartments. >> no firefighters were hurt in that incident. it's still very early to tell what caused fire. investigator say they will looking into the ownership of the home here. they also look whether or not the fire alarms were working. he is taking part in the investigation. live in lynn. 7news "today in new england." to the latest on shooting in california. we're getting our first look this morning at the guns used in the attack that killed 14 people and injured 21 others. fbi investigator now poring over that evidence to try to figure out if there's any leak between

according to officials around 300 officers from several agency responded when call of active shooter went out. forced among them 26-year-old department. man who has what he described as a desk job now and this morning he's giving a firsthand account of the incident. lieutenant miked innen a mile away when the call came in that shots were fired at the regional. he was first one on scene and ran into the building. >> there were clearly obviously conference room. and i relayed that information officers. it was unspeakable. the carnage that we were seeing. the number of people who were injured. and unfortunately already dead. and the peer panic on the face

that dry air can cool off quick. good idea to have jackets and sweaters and the hoody when the game is wrapping up the numbers will be in the lower 40s. the jet stream looking like this. it's going to continue to look like this for another week or so. which is not all that uncommon in el nino winter. which is what this will be. rather strong el nino. strongest since '97 and '98. you do notice that overwhelming snow and even as you look at the season total only 2 of those strong el nino that we had snowfall above normal. but none of them had 90 or more inches of snow like we saw last year. last year we saw 110. we ant doing that again. i'm holding you to that. in 7 sports the celtics beat. rajon ronda didn't finish the game because he got ejected.

which are potato pancakes. it's passed down throughout the family. starting with onion. half an onion then put in a pan of hot oil. try until golden. peel potatoes and grate. >> you can use a hand grater. i like to use a food processor. >> now put the cooked onion in mixing bowl. give our latka a nice flavor. add flour. salt, eggs and potatoes. get that started. mixing. once fully combined bring the oil to high heat. a little trick here it keeps it from turning brown so you don't get the burned taste. >> test the temperature with mixture. >> oh, nice and hot. sizzling. you need a quarter of a cup for each latka. once the latkas are brown give them a flip. >> give them another minute or
