it's wet all the snow is gone. a lot of down pours today out there. >> reporter: depending on where you were located you saw different weather. that's the way that winter has shaped up for us. lots of rain. not so much snow. a storm rolls up and kicks out the cold. the cold retreats and comes back and a mild storm come in bring bringing us rain. if this storm had been here when we had cold in place we could have seen 1 to 2 feet of snow easily. highs for boston. 46 for plymouth. into the 50s on nantucket. 2 upon inches of rain fall with the storm this morning. current temperatures dropping off below freezing. bed ford watch out for slick spots norwood as well. 36 in boston. we will see what is wet refreeze

here's the storm system affect affecting us this morning. we turn our attention to colder air and clipper system that is to the west. this is going to bring us a chance at snow fall definitely colder temperatures as we head into the next couple of days. all of that pink coloring around the great lakes that's what's going to be moving in for us top kick off the work week. again you gotta have the cold in place as well as the storms to get the snow. this doesn't of look like a lot of snow that we get. but we'll run through the time line here. one system tries to make its way up the coast. it does try to bring snow fall. most models pushing this out of the ocean. one area that may pick up snow fall north shore but also the cape and islands but not stick sticking on the cape and islands islands. snow showers early in the morning on monday.

it could reduce visibility. cause problems slick roads as well. monday mornings is when we're watching for that. maybe a coating to an inch in some locations. other spots don't see any snow. and maybe 1 to 2 inches for the north shore and cape as well. 24 to 30. refreezing so if you haven't sanded or salted just yet you'll want to do that. partly sunny 34 to 39. those highs typical this time of year. before that arctic air moves in for us. once it does we drop into the 20s. these are the highs for monday and tuesday. great new presidency headed to the slopes for mlk holiday. we approximately see a lot of ice within the next few days on those ponds. here you go with the 7 on 7 forecast cooler temperatures moderate by next weekend. snow with a question mark. watching potential for more snow snow.
