officials the say the two men were taken from a vehicle while driving near the university of azevedo. they police the hodges taech at the university. so far no group has claimed responsibility. >> happening now. police in california are investigating the test of college baseball player originally from lowell. the 20-year-old was shot and killed while playing pokemon go near fisherman's warch. jennifer calvin riley family said this shooting was random. they are trying to piece together a motive this morning. riley is being remembered as a lowing season and a star athlete. >> according to fund-raising page set up by a cousin, the victim has been identified as 20-year-old calvin riley. a baseball player who was going to college in california with dreams of becoming a pro. his family said he grew up in lowell. investigators are piecing together what happened.

saturday night just before 10:00 near a san francisco park. the shooter has not been caught. they are on alert and will pay closer attention to this area. they do patrol it regularly. this like unusual occurrence. >> riley's family said he was playing pokemon go saturday night when he was shot at random. something investigator in san francisco would not issue warning to pokemon go players. reminding them to be aware of their surroundings while they play the popular game. >> and riley's family said that he was with a friend at the time of the shooting but had gotten a few steps airhead and out of sight. investigators are checking surveillance videos right now. let's go to the latest in the race for the white house. we have new poll numbers on the

south america. i got a chance to explore some of the most iconic sites. first up the christ redeemer one of the 7 new wonders of the world. topping mountain 2300 feet high. to get there you have to take a train that cut through the forest providing some jaw dropping views along the way. then it's a steep climb to the top. 200 steps later and we're finally here. the view is supposed to be one of the best in the city. mother nature however had a different idea for our getting up here isn't easy but it's worth it. it's if large. arts echo statute in the world an i con not only for rio but for the country of brazil. what takes your breath away is the view on most days. you can't leave without snapping a touristy picture. >> named after the artist who he constructed them as tribute to

by state police. the worcester county d.a. launched an investigation into missing person report focusing on a women last seen walking or running along the road in princeton during the afternoon hour on sunday. neighbor got a call last to kut for this women. as far as i could remember they said 27-year-old had been missing since 1:00 in the afternoon. last seen in brooks station road. and she's a t-shirt or tank top. police say they are looking for the community's help. we're hoping to get some sort of briefing at some point this morning. live in princeton. john cocoa. 7news "today in new england." also break thing morning. a ground stop has been lifted for delta air lines after a power outage that impacted operations here and across the world including boston. limited departures are resuming across the country.

here's victoria warren live with more on how things are looking from there. >> things are definitely looking better than they were first thing this morning. overnight in atlanta there was a thunderstorm right around that time. there was a power outage. that power outage blamed for all of these cancellations at one point they couldn't check folks in. now they've been slowly getting things back up to speed. but there are still going to be cancellations and delays. ist delayed yesterday. yesterday. stressed out passengers after big computer problems for delta. >> no idea what's going on. it mean long lines to know where all flight grounded. >> i drove two hours to get here. nationwide. it was a chaotic morning at logan the problem was worldwide. delta traces it all back to overniht power outage in atlanta. >> they just said that because pilots don't have navigation capabilities on their instrument

a lot of you know messes and broken ceiling and all that drywall. the store's motion detector sounded once the men dropped into the store and an alarm went off that was overheard which a police officer. when that officer arrived at the scene he saw man running away into the woods behind the build something. the 24-year-old man found lying on stomach. he had black ski mask and walkie-talkie and gloves on him. they found wood sweating and out of breath. they found a pair of pliers a book bag with a saw zaw and multiple blade and both were arrested. they are possibly considered a third suspect in what they called a well planned operation. i was hoping one of them got stuck down here. that would have been nice to catch one person. they did an prehelp -- apprehen

into improving security at the store. crews rescue a boston man who took a major fall hiking up new hampshire. the 40-year-old was walking down a trail in lincoln and that's when he fell about 50 feet. he was taken to the hospital for serious head injury and right now there's no exact word on his condition. new this morning investigators say they know what caused a major blast that caused a home in connecticut to collapse. they believe a propane gas leak caused that explosion last week. the gas drier in the home at the time. and there were 7 people hurt in that explosion including children. the foundation that is building a memorial for the people killed at a rhode island nightclub said it has almost the amount of money they need. organizer behind the station memorial say they have 1.9 million of the 2 million that i need to build and maintain that memorial. 100 people died in that nightclub back in 2003.

young boy dies at a waterpark in kansas. investigators say 10-year-old caleb was killed when he rode down 128-foot water slide when he fell off of it on sunday. he's the son of kansas stay representative. the park is closed today. waterpark officials say they feel sorry for the boy's family. right now our focus on that family. i understand want a lot of information right now. >> there's no word yet on when the waterpark will reopen. disney world is making major changes after a young boy was killed by an alligator at the resort two months ago. disney officials say they are building a rock barrier along the beaches where the tragedy happened. they say construction should be completely by october. 2-year-old lane grayses killed when dragged under water by an alligator in june.

happened. happening right now evacuations are under way as a wildfire continues to grow out in california. people in dozen of home are being forced out. the fire began over the weekend outside of los angeles. and in northern california firefighter are making some progress battling two separate wildfires there. also heavy rain is triggering deadly mud slides in mexico. investigator say 39 people have died. hurricane early brought intense hillsides to collapse on to those homes. more than 200 houses were damaged. and the olympic zone now sunday was packed with action in rio including team u.s.a. taking home a number of medal. that included the greatest olympic of all time returning to the pool. here's nancy chin with more on the action in rio. >> reporter: michael phelps

in control and allowing for a lot of sunshine. more scattered clouds across new england. isolated shower or thunderstorm that way. for us we are dry. 86 in boston. localized sea breeze. doesn't make a huge difference. maybe in the low 80s verses the upper 80s inland. manchester, new hampshire about 88. couple of degrees either side chatem this afternoon. just above to falmouth. 54 that's the dewpoint. mid 50s and lower. that's a low humidity air mass in place. we had that for couple of day. if you look to south of us. goes up a little bit. d.c. 62. this is the surge in humidity that will work up the east coast by wednesday and thursday.
