>> this is 7news now. snow good morning, everybody. we've officially made it to friday after a very long week. >> sarah: here's some of the stories we're working on on this friday morning. more protests against donald trump breaking out overnight. thousands in portland, oregon, rioting in the streets, demonstrators throwing obj lighting fires. this morning the president-elect is responding to the chaos. >> christa: and a 14-year-old girl in bourne is assaulted on her way to the bus stop. police say she was able to escape after man attacked her. right now police are searching for the suspect. >> sarah: students at wellesley college outraged after two babson college students allegedly drove through hillary clinton's alma mater waving a donald trump flag. this morning the president of babson is speaking out with a strong message for students.

loose in someone's yard out in springfield. officers eventually released it back into the woods. >> sarah: let's send it over to wren clair with a check of your forecast this friday morning. >> wren: so far things are starting out quiet for us. you can see to our northwest, already some showers out that way as the cold front pushes into new england. while we should stay dry here in boston, we could see a couple sprinkles in southern new hampshire, western massachusetts, just a very slight chance for that. and more importantly, we're going to be looking at some cooler weather as wells temperatures in the upper 40s in boston. 43 degrees in bedford. nashua in the mid-30s. we'll warm up pretty nicely today, but it will be short lived. with these winds, it's actually going the feel pretty chilly out there. the cape under a wind advisory. that starts this afternoon and is going to wrap up late tonight. but wind gusts up to around 40mph are likely and sustained winds up to around 3, 35mph. so count on some breezy conditions there. an actually really throughout new england today. we're going the stay breezy throughout the day today into tonight as well as into tomorrow

for veterans day parades today, count on breezy conditions. the good news is it will be dry. we'll see plenty of sunshine by 10:00 temperatures in the low 50s in brockton. that parade starting at the warm memorial building. by 1:00 in boston, temperatures in the mid-50s. i say that with a little bit of hesitation because i do think by the early afternoon, we could already start the see some temperatures falling in association with this cold front that's going to move through today. so into the afternoon, some cooler wealth headed our way. temperatures actually topping off in the 11:00. and as we head into the later afternoon, we're talking mid to upper 40s. "today in new england" starts now. >> christa: breaking overnight, another night of nationwide protests against donald trump's election coming to a head in portland. a peaceful demonstration becoming an owl out riot. >> sarah: a white house welcome to the president-elect. the former rivals putting their differses aside and developing for the future.
