little bit chilly out there. temperatures 10 or 20 degrees cooler than yesterday at this tile butter' starting to wall up bit by bit. we've only worldp a couple of degrees since morning lows. some of us upper 20's, 29 degrees this morning in orange and 239 degrees in worcester. but with still breezy conditions it felt like we were in the mid 20's. at this point, most of us are closer to our seasonable blows, but you can see we are still chilly. temperatures will trend cool are but it's very short-lived for us of by the low 60's for mid november with plenty of sunshine, even into the start of the workweek. so very mild conditions over the next couple days. i will be it a little bit breezy here. i will take a closer look at the work woke's forecast after the break. >> anchor: thank you very much. break building news from o'seas, four people have been killed in an attack at a u.s. air base in afghanistan. an army spokesperson confirms 14 more people were injured when some type of explosive device went off the taliban claim

>> anchor: also this monk a teen-ager shot near a play in natural pan. police say the teen was on the neponset river trail when he was hit by a bullet. this morning police are still search building for the shooter. here is tim caputo. a 16-year-old boy was shot not far from a playground in mattapan. massachusetts state police say the teen was shot once while he was on a bike path near river street. several state police officers rushed to the scene around 5:30 this evening because it happened on a bike path, which is pat of a department of recreation state park and covered by state police and not boston police. it's unclear at this point if there were any witnesses to this crime, no arrests have been made. police spent several hours at the scene search building for evidence. investigators towed away a sedan parked at a nearby gas station but have not said how it's related to the shooting. the teen-ager who was shot was rushed to the hospital, police say he is expected to recover. tim caputo, 7 news today in new england. >> anchor: now to a sudden smash the a restaurant this

7's alex deprato with more now. the lunch hour at jimmy's restaurant in danvers turning chaotic as a car barrels through the front window. the impact threw a customer eating lunch right out of his seat. and all of a sudden we're we hear a low noise, it's like a bomb. >> reporter: jimmy, the owner, in the kitchen and others ran to help the customers and the driver who has been coming to the restaurant for lunch si she was very, know, calm and everything. thank goodness. >> reporter: debbie martikio who works the front counter called 911 and told all customers to get away from glass windows. we ran out here and told everybody, get out this way. we didn't know if glass would collapse or anything. >> reporter: the crash happened when a mat got stuck under a break pedal. with everyone okay, the driver did not want to miss lunch, she sat down and ordered, which was on the house. what did she have to eat for lunch?

borough. police say a baby died there and his parents were passed out nearby. sources are now saying that at least one of the parents had to be treated for heroin overoverdose. 7's ryan schulteis has the latest. my reaction? i am in shock. like everybody else i guess. >> anchor: grieving family arrived at this marlborough home where an infant was found dead. the baby's two parents were home at the time, but were unresponsive. sources tell 7 news first responders used narcan, a life saving overdoses on at least one, if not both parents. family members say they are not sure what happened. nobody knows yet. we're still wait building on reports. >> anchor: how is the mom doing in. she is doing better. the infant was two months old and those living on the street say the family happily hosted a bobby shower not too long ago. the whole family was excited to have the baby. the grand mother was excited. she was excited. first grandchild. little sister was excited. it's very excite building but we don't know what happened which is odd. >> anchor: police called just

baby was rushed to the hospital. we're toll the 19-year-old mother lives here with her mother an her 23-year-old boyfriend. the father of the baby. both parents survived but could be facing charges in their baby's death. it was an accident. you know, until i guess we hear otherwise 7 news today in new england. >> anchor: also this morning, a dump truck hitting a bridge flying over on route 9 in framingham. the driver who was in the front of the truck says the driver had to lift up and that's wha bridge and caused the truck to roll. i knew he would hit the bridge so i just stayed back, he hit the about, went over, oil started league building out of the line into the road and the truck was still running so it went around the front and he became conscious. i told him to shut the truck off and the windy was kind of loose so i pulled the window out and he got out of the truck and this is what we got here. the truck driver is expected to be okay.

an ceremonies took place throughout the city yesterday. a parade ran down boylston street, that ended at city hall plaza and at the statehouse ceremony honored veterans in massachusetts. governor baker got emotional talking about parents sending their kids off to defend our country. the kids and the men and women who serve in our military these days are among the very best we have and they are putting themselves in serious harrell's way. >> anchor: another ceremony took place district for the massachusetts fallen heroes memorial there. people laid wreaths and roses. >> anchor: a former police station in south boston now a home for heros. there are 24 new apartments, six of which have been set aside for homeless veterans. apartments are not only handicapped accessible but also affordable. marty walsh spoke on friday about the importance of boston leading the way when it comes to taking care of our nation's veterans. i don't think there is a

starting to warm up a bitment it's slow going for us. 38 degrees currently in boston. 34 degrees in worcester and still chilly 40 degrees in norwood, even 39 in providence so a cooler start, temperatures this morning felt like we were in the mid to low 20's with the wind chill factor here. still breezy across the cape cade with win gusts between 20 and 25 miles per hour possible. but we're not nearly as windy as what we saw yesterday. winds starting out of the northwest today will end up out of the west then will usher in more moderate air for your sunday forecast. into the afternoon our wind chill factor here as we head into the afternoon making things feel like we're in the mid to low 40's for most of us. that's about as warm as we're going to get. temperatures tonight stay close to average if not still little bit below but as we head into your sunday forecast things look pretty nice for you. our dry stretch also continues. it isn't until tuesday that we do stand the chance for some wet weather and we certainly could use it as we're now at a deficit of upwards of ten inches of rain. we're definitely in need of some of that moisture. how much we get here, well,
