did the defense give fans something to worry about in the first half? >> this is 7news "today in new england." >> kris: it is 5:00. i'm kris anderson. >> christa: and get reacquainted with your scraper this morning. if you have snow on your windshield, a few flakes fell overnight. i had the find my scraper. it was buried. >> kris: i couldn't look for it. hr have a warning for drivers. be safe. wren clair has the latest. jiergs most of us just flurries. a dusting is what we're waking up to. you could scrape off you car, but most likely just brush off the car. a closer look at what we're seeing throughout the state of massachusetts. a lot of those snow reports have stayed further to our west. the berkshires having seen more than what we're waking up to now. a couple more flurries through the morning hours. our main concern today is the

effect currently. that's going to be in effect all day long enter tonight. so wind gusts up to around 50mph. and sustained winds up to around 35mph for us. here's what we're seeing with wind gusts. wind gusts up to around 32mph in norwood. 23mph winds across much of the coast and very gust yeah conditions across the islands. wind gusts 45mph. teels -- feelings like the upper teens to low 20s. bundle before you head out the door. >> kris: wren, thanks. with danielle gersh didn't notice any accumulation on the roadway. that's good news. >> danielle: so far so good. maybe give yourself a little extra time this morning. here's a look at the zakim bridge and leverett connector. not seeing any issues on the roads yet. braintree toes be northbound on the expressway, just ten minutes so far this morning. route 3, 24 and 95 all problem-free. the pike fine all the way back to framingham. not seeing any issues. and you're in good shape on route 2 and route 3 this

take a look at those drive times if you're getting ready to head out the door. 12 minutes into town on the pike from 128 and 93 southbound. 128 to the zakim bridge, just 11 minutes. no delays out there. both the "t" and commuter rail starting the morning on schedule. back to you, guys. >> christa: let's get to breaking news right now. investigators searching for clues after four police officers are shot in four different incidents. in st. louis, a suspect is dead, an officer there recovering, and s manhunt is under way right now. we're told those shootings, however, are not related. >> sarah: as you can imagine, those communities are on edge. the shootings happened in san antonio, st. louis, gladstone, missouri, and in sanibel, florida. jennifer eagan is track, breaking news in the police room. >> jennifer: in st. louis a suspect is dead after shooting a police sergeant last night. investigators say the officer was sitting in traffic when

driver opened fire. after an hour's long manhunt, the suspect was killed in a shoot-out with officers in downtown st. louis. officials say the wounded officer is in critical condition but is expected to survive. less than 300 miles away in gladstone, missouri, just outside of kansas city, a police officer there was shot during a traffic stop late sunday night. police say the officer and two suspects were shot. one of the suspects died. the conditions of both the officer and the other suspect are unknown right now. and in way after a police detective was ambushed and killed. that attack happened during a traffic stop. the detective was writing a traffic ticket right outside of the city's police department when investigators say another car pulled up. the driver got out and shot the detective who was sitting in his patrol car. detective benjamin marconi was a 20-year veteran of the san antonio police force. the 50-year-old was a father of two. the city's police chief says he will do whatever it takes to capture marconi's killer.

celebrating the holidays. s.a.p.d. will be burying one of its own because of an ultimate act of cowardice. >> jennifer: san antonio police have released this photo of the man they're searching for. right now it's unclear what role he played in the shooting. and authorities in sanibel florida have arrested the suspect they say shot and injured a police officer on sunday. officials say the officer was woulded in a drive-by shooting. that incident happened while the officer was conducting a traffic stop. the oer and released. in the newsroom, jennifer eagan, 7news "today in new england." >> christa: all right. jen, thank you. police are on the hunt for suspects after a car crashes into a home in northborough. this was a very close call for two people who were inside, and they are definitely shaken up from all of this. before the crash, police say they were chasing that vehicle. let's head out live to northborough right now this morning. we have 7's general cuoco who is following the latest developments.

this family couldn't get out of their from the door here. as we pan in, you can see some of the damage. now, eventually, they were able to get out, but they're going to be staying in a hotel for a while. >> i heard screech, and then i heard more, a big bang, and then the house shook. >> john: a sudden shock on sunday when this s.u.v. plowed through a two-story home in northborough. it hit that house, cleared out all the trucks. troopers were pursuing the s.u.v. from 495 with speeds between 80 and 110mph before they decided to back off. >> it's a living room right there. my grandma is sitting in her chair. it's pretty close to the chair. >> john: troopers say two suspects jumped out and took off. >> i heard two people arguing saying, should we go, should we stay? i was more worried about the car

the damage is so bad, this family will now spend thanksgiving and possibly christmas in a hotel. >> own up to it. basically. be man. this ruined our holiday, you know? >> john: and again, investigators are still looking for these suspects. if you have any information, you're asked to call police. live in northborough, john cuoco, 7news "today in new england." >> kris: right now lowell police are investigating a homicide. a mother beaten at a party and her family is something like this could happen. 7's victoria warren live this morning. vicki, the woman's family says her son actually witnessed this attack? >> victoria: that's what her family tells us, and, they say, her son is special needs. they tell us all of this happened after this woman left a party. a grieving family holding on to each other, mourning the loss of

her. they beat her. gloribel died saturday night after an argument at a party turned violent. her family says she was beaten to death right in front of her special needs son. >> very angry that someone would stoop that low. i don't know whether it was three to five or eight people, any person more than one... >> victoria: lowell police trying to glcial's family with a message for whoever did this or anyone who knows what happened. >> sometimes stepping up and stepping in is what you need to do. you never know whose life you can save. i hope you really realize how bad you must feel. you destroyed so many people's lives, including your own. >> victoria: lowell police tell us that this fight broke

the party. they continue their investigation, and if you know anything that can help them in this investigation, they want the hear from you. live this morning in lowell, victoria warren, 7news "today in new england." >> christa: vicki, thank you. happening today, the driver accused of hitting a woman in a crosswalk in chelsea and taking off will be facing a judge. police say 25-year-old arnold hernandez hit a 72-year-old woman on friday at 4th and broadway. and the whole thing is caught on camera. police arrested h woman is now recovering. >> kris: today federal prosecutors are expected to rest their case for the execution of convicted killer gary lee sampson. then it will be up to sampson's attorneys to present their case to try and save his life. sampson was convicted of killing three people and was sentenced to death. that death sentence was overturned because of jury misconduct. >> christa: more protesting as donald trump's transition continues to take shape. hundreds rallying against the

president-elect chief strategist. they were protesting in new york city last night. they chanted outside a gala that bannon was attending at the time. it was a busy weekend for the president-elect as he continues to meet with possible cabinet members, as well. a busy weekend at president-elect donald trump continues to conduct interviews to build his administration. >> great people coming. you'll see. >> christa: trump and vice president-elect mike pence meeting with some familiar faces at the billionaire's new jersey golf club, york mayor rudy giuliani and new jersey governor chris christie. this comes after saturday's much-anticipated meeting with former massachusetts governor mitt romney, who has been mentioned as a potential pick as secretary of state. >> appreciate the chance to speak with the president-elect and look forward to the coming administration. >> christa: other contenders in over the weekend, democrat michelle reid, former chancellor of b.c. public schools, a possible education secretary,

brady and edelman connected for this four-yard touchdown pass early. edelman hauled it in. close for a while. pats only led by 3 at halftime. brady dominated in the second half, 280 yards and four touchdowns in the game. pats end up winning big 30-17. brady says it's great to return to the bay area and get that big win. >> it was very cool. it doesn't get any better than that. so to have the first chance to do that was very special. i felt it in pregame warm-up and it carried right to the last play of the game. it was pretty great. they inspired a lot of kids in the bay area greg up, and i was one of them. >> kris: the pats now prepare for a familiar foe as they get ready to take on the new york jets in east rutherford new jersey sunday afternoon. >> christa: a mom left for dead after being struck in the street for brookline, her family

>> christa: some of you waking up to a little snow. look at rochester, new york. they have heavy lake-effect snow. this morning the first snowstorm of the season causing slight delays and cancellations and roads in youngstown, ohio, opening back up early this morning. police closed several roadways after icy conditions caused accident, including a 40-car pile-up. it's like time to brush up on those winter driving skills. it takes everybody by surprise. >> christa: this is a good one to get ready for.

did it seem like it was sticking where you were? >> christa: i woke up to a layer of ice. but the roads seemed okay. >> sarah: the roads are looking good. it's refreshing to see that white-out there. i know not everybody feels that way, but you know what, better to get a dusting for now, get our feet wet with some of that snow before we start to get into the season here. it's a cold start to the work week. temperatures much cooler than what we've experienced the last couple weeks. wind-chill values feeling like the upper teens for as we head into today, we keep things windy throughout you day. low pressure sitting to our north. a windy start to the work week. breezy into tomorrow, as well. good news is more sunshine returns by tomorrow. for today, cold, windy and cloudy for us. again, it's feeling like 19 degrees, currentliesy boston, te cape, worcester feeling like 11 degrees there with pretty impressive wind gusts. it's going to be breezy throughout the day. a quick look at this snow.

more snow. we're seeing flurries throughout the boston metro. you can see that really this is very, very light for us. a dusting and most of this melting quickly for us right away this morning. billerica still seeing some of those flurries as well as sudbury. a little bit more moderate snowfall there. but again, all this staying pretty light for us. wrapping up pretty quickly, as well. we also have a wind advisory. that's currently in effect. that's going to wrap up at 10:00. wind gusts reaching up to 50mph. an we're some of those wind gusts. sustained winds up to 35mph possible today. when you factor that in with this cool weather. it feels very cool. definitely feeling like we're waking up to winter. wind gusts up to around 32mph in worcester and new bedford, dealing with the same situation. martha's vineyard, as well as nantucket, much windier. wind gusts to around 45mph in nantucket. our surface map showing we do actually have low pressure camped further to our north. but we still do see that cooler air and windier conditions being

that's going to keep things breezy even into the late overnight hours. your temperature trend showing warmer weather on the way, but not terribly warmer. we're still talking mid to low 40s through most of your work week. windy and cool with mostly cloudy skies. temperatures struggling to reach into the low 40s. it is going to be breezy today into tonight. lows tonight are also going to be chilly. a lot of us are going to be in the upper 20s with winds still gusty. your 7 on 7 forecast showing temperatures tomorrow do moderate a little bit and we see >> christa: caught on camera now, dramatic rescue after a boat starts taking on water off the chest of new bedford. crews racing to help six people who are on that boat fishing. 7's jennifer eagan with more on this story and some scary moments for them, jen. >> jennifer: chris, there were. they got critical help from another crew that was nearby. rough waters in a rescue at sea. a coast guard helicopter crew sent a swimmer into the ocean to save six people.

off of here. >> jennifer: captain jeff, a 72-foot scallop boat, got into trouble 9:30 sunday morning. crew members reported it was sinking five miles off the coast of newbedford. the coast guard credits the crew of u.s. new bedford for getting on site quickly. >> they sprung a leak. they're not sure where the leak originated. once this thing is up and floating, a diver will take a look where the leak might be to try to patch it up and bring it intok. rescue swimmer tried to control the flooding. then it was time for the diver to jump ship. >> it will be easier for me to go in the water. i have one,, two three, four, five, six, seven cables port, seven cables starboard. >> jennifer: an investigation into the cause of the leak is under way. the captain jeff has a home port in north carolina. the coast guard says everyone on that boat was checked out on shore. no one was injured.

of that has stayed further to our west as well as our northwest. a couple inches of snow. that's going to melt quickly as we head into the day here. and actually enter the week. we're in the looking at much cooler weather than what we'll see here. brick ca seeing some of that, as well. that's going to be the situation throughout the early morning then this dies down for us. what doesn't die down are these winds. we have a wind advisory in effect currently. that's going to be in effect for this evening. windy all day long, even through the overnight hours, even after this advisory does end. w a cool start to the morning, make sure to bundle up. the good news is that will take most of that snowing sticking to the roadway, danielle. >> danielle: we have two accidents out there. it is a little bit slick i think. here's a look at the zakim bridge and leverett connector, not seeing any issues here. let's go to the maps. the first accident we're watching is in lowell. that's on 495 southbound at route 3. we have another accident on route 3 bedford southbound on exit 26. beth of these in the median this

time. route 1, 93, heading into boston. and not seeing any issues there, braintree to boston northbound on the expressway, so far just ten minutes, slowing down a little bit around the split braintree split. that's where we're starting to go. the pike pretty much wide open back to framingham. take a look at those drive times getting ready to head out the door. 12 minutes into town on the pike "from paris with love" 128. 93 southbound, 128 to the zakim bridge, 11 minutes this morning. are both running on schedule. >> christa: danielle, thank you. getz let a check of your top stories now. state police are looking for the driver who crashed an s.u.v. into a home in northborough. troopers were pursuing this s.u.v. that's when they decided to become off. the vehicle then crashed into the home and the two suspects inside ran away. no one inside the home was hurt luckily, but they'll have to be staying in a hotel for quite some time. also family and friends are demanding answers after a woman

lowell over the weekend. police say that 44-year-old gloribel orengo was beaten to death in a parking lot during some kind of disagreement after she was told to leave the party saturday night. her family says her son witnessed the attack, as well. so far no arrests have been made. today federal prosecutors are expected to rest their case for the execution of convicted murderer gary lee sampson. then it will be up to sampson's attorneys to present their case to save his life. sampson was convicted of killing three people. that death sentence was overturned because of juror misconduct. >> kris: right now a mother is recovering after being hit in the street. police say this woman was hit in the car while she was in the crosswalk in brookline. now they're trying the track down the driver responsible. 7's jennifer eagan joins us with more on what this woman's family is saying. jen? >> jennifer: chris, they are upset. their mother has serious injuries. this happened on the brookline-s be line. boston police are helping out in the search for the driver.

>> i thought she was dead. >> jennifer: on friday the sisters say their mother, kim lawnmoore was taking her morning walk in brookline before heading to work when she was hit by a car. >> she looked both ways and she didn't see anyone, so she crossed. and someone just hit her. and they drove off. >> i didn't know if she was okay. i didn't know if she was alive. it wasn't very clear as to what had happened. she was just found unconscious and she wasn >> jennifer: the driver took off. longmoore was left on washington street in brookline. >> we talked to an investigator. i talked to him this morning. he said someone was walking by, and he found her lying in the street. >> jennifer: longmoore, who lives in weymouth, will survive. she has severe injuries, broken bone, internal bleeding and a ruptured spleen. >> it was probably one of the scariest days of my life. >> jennifer: longmoore is a

her family says she's the most selfless person anyone will meet. they're hoping this case was solved soon. jennifer eagan, 7news "today in new england." >> christa: jen, thank you. new this morning the brick ca community gets hit by hate. the "globe" is reporting that crews have painted over a swastika that was found on the side of the old elementary school there. a woman spotted the graffiti on the old elementary school friday. the building has been closed since 2002. also state and city leaders will be holding a rally to speak against hate. this morning it's in response to the r here in massachusetts and around the country and today's rally been held at the statehouse at 11:00 a.m. >> kris: students in lawrence returning to school. half of the children in the butler street school will go back the class after fire ripped through a classroom. grades three to five will be back today but grades 6 through 8 will not return until next week. the fire did about $300,000 to that school. self-driving cars in boston are set to be on city streets by the end of next month.

cambridge-based company newtonomy will start testing if flynn marine park in southie. the company will begin testing one car before possibly moving on the other vehicles. >> christa: turns out it cost quite a bit of money to cover duvall patrick's farewell party. he spent nearly $300,000. his non-profit documented the expense, which included the lone walk ceremony and a all of the festivities were paid for by donations. the fires, may be moved to copley square if they can't raise more money. it costs about $300,000 to put on that event. organizers need the raise another $100,000. >> kris: boston mayor marty walsh helping those in need. >> christa: he helped serve up thanksgiving meals during the 2424th annual day of giving thanks. the mayor teamed up to provide

i think it's a good idea to have it nearby. it's cold. waking up to flurries. most of those snow showers for west and northwest. low pressure camped to our north that. will continue to deliver us moisture this morning, as well. plenty of cloud cover throughout your day. a closer look at who is seening some of those flurries. again this is very light. it will melt quickly for us. boston metro seeing some of, that but that's starting to come to an end for us. as you head into the rest of your day, we'll dry out. we won't lose these winds. we have a wind effect tonight. we're currently seeing some wind gusts up to around 40mph across the islands. so here's what our highs are going the look like today. upper 30s in bedford. some of us struggling to reach 40 degrees. that's where we'll be here in boston. a little bit warmer across the cape. but take a look at what it will feel like. it will feel like we're sitting in the mid to upper 20s, even low 20s for some of us. very cool weather. make sure to bundle up here. mostly cloudy.

into the two story home. state police say right before the crash they were in a pursuit with a vehicle where speeds reached between 80 and 110mph before they backed off. troopers say the suspect then ran off after the crash. we're told this home is not safe because of the damage. so the family will likely spend thanksgiving and maybe even christmas in a hotel. now, of course, police are asking if you have any information to give them a call. live in moreborough, john >> christa: also on this monday morning, police arresting a 17-year-old accused of taking a danger us are drive through worcester, dragging a man by his arm. police say the 45-year-old owner of the truck had his arm stuck in the driver's side window when the teen sped off. the man fell after the teen hit several parked cars. he was taken to the hospital with some serious injuries, as well. right now investigators are trying to figure out what happened during a deadly construction accident in duxbury.

are unknown at this time. in texas, a manhunt is under way after a police detective was ambushed and killed. this is a picture of the suspect they're looking for right now. that attack happened during a traffic stop. the detective was writing a traffic ticket right outside of the police department's police department. that's when investigators stay car pulled up behind the detective. detective benjamin marconi was is iting in his patrol car when he was shot. the shooter drove off. marconi was a 20-year veteran of the force. in st. louis, after shooting a police sergeant last night. investigators say the officer was sitting in traffic when another car pulled up and the driver opened fire after an hour's long manhunt. the suspect was killed in a shoot-out with officers in downtown st. louis. officials say the wounded officer is in critical condition, but he is expected to survive. and authorities in sanibel, florida, have arrested the suspect they say shot and injured a police officer last night. officials say the officer was wounded in a drive-by shooting

police say 25-year-old arnold hernandez hit a 72-year-old woman on friday. the incident was at 4th and broadway and it was caught on surveillance video. police arrested hernandez saturday afternoon. that woman fortunately will be okay. and today federal prosecutors are expected to rest their case in the execution of convicted murderer gary lee sampson. then it will be up to system. isn't's attorneys to represent their case to try and save his life. sampson was convicted of killing three people and sentenced to death. but that death sentence was overturned misconduct. >> christa: hundreds protesting the trump transition team. scene. this is a serious crash. only one lane is getting we. this is route 2 eastbound coming up to 128 here, and two lanes are here. a tow truck on scene. let's go to the maps. that's not the only incident we're watching this morning. all these little exclamation marks are cars that have pun out, accidents, overturned vehicles. so 495 southbound at the lowell connector, we have one. route 3 southbound at exit 26, we have an overturned vehicle on 495 southbound. that's after boston road. at route 3, and then that one i just showed you on route 2 eastbound at 128. also in somerville, another accident southbound on 93. the carpool lane is blocked there. braintree to boston northbound on the expressway this morning, accident-free, 32 minutes. back to you, guys. >> kris: we're continuing the follow breaking news. four police officers have been shot in three different states. the shootings happening in san antonio, texas, st. louis,

florida. in texas, the manhunt continuing for this man after a police detective was ambushed and killed. that attack happened during a traffic stop. while the detective was writing a traffic ticket right outside of the city's police department. investigators say the car pulled up and someone shot this detective, benjamin marconi, who was sitting in his patrol car at the time. marconi was a 20-year veteran of the force. now to some of the other day's top stories, family and friends demanding answers after aas lowell over the weekend. police say this 44-year-old mother, gloribel orengo, was beat on the death in a parking lot during an altercation after she was told to leave the party saturday night. her family says her son with special needs witnessed this attack. according to the lowell sun, the victim's son is 28 years ole and has down syndrome. so far no arrests have been made. and state police are looking for the people who crashed an s.u.v. into a northborough home, caused a lot of damage early sunday morning.

back off of that chase. the vehicle then crashed into the home when those two suspects then ran away. no one inside that home was hurt. >> christa: right now a weymouth mother is in the hospital after getting struck in the street. she was hit by a car walking in brookline, and police right now are trying to track down that driver. let's go to 7's jennifer eagan with more from this woman's family. jen? >> jennifer: christa, they are very upset, as you can imagine. their mother has serious injuries. this happened on the brookline-s be a family pleading for help and praying for their mother. >> i thought she was dead. >> jennifer: on friday the sisters say their mother kim longmore was taking her walk before work when she was hit by a car. >> she looked both ways and she didn't see anyone, so she crossed. and someone just hit her.

i didn't know if she was alive. it wasn't very clear as to what had happened. she was just found unconscious and she was in the hospital. >> jennifer: the driver took off. longmoore was left on washington street in brookline. >> we talked to an investigator. i talked to him this morning. he said someone was walking by, and he found her lying in the street. >> jennifer: longmore, who lives in weymouth, will survive. she has severe injuries, broken bones, internal bleed, and a ruptured spleen. >> it was probably one of the >> jennifer: longmore is the secretary at brookline elementary school. her family says she's the most selfless person anyone will meet. they're hoping this case was solved soon. jennifer eagan, 7news "today in new england." >> kris: in this morning the billerica community hit by hate. crews have painted over a swastika found on the side of an old elementary school in billerica. a woman spotted the graffiti on the old elementary school on friday that. building has been closed since 2002. state and city leaders will hold

it's in response to a recent number of hate crimes in massachusetts and across the country. today's rally will be held at the statehouse at 11:00 a.m. >> christa: right now investigators are trying to figure out what happened in a deadly construction accident in duxbury. 29-year-old jason sanderson was killed when the chop saw he was using kicked become and hit him in the neck. this morning osha is investigating. >> kris: the fireworks to celebrate first night in boston may have to b m waterfront. organizers saying the fireworks show may be proved to copley square if they can't raise more money. it costs about $300,000 to put on this event. organizers need to raise another $100,000. >> christa: ands be mayor party walsh giving thanks and helping people in need during the 24th annual day of thanks. the mayor teaming up with the boston rescue mission to serve up hundreds of thanksgiving meals to the homeless and less fortunate. he's calling on people to pitch in and hen out throughout the

during a traffic stop. shootings took place in san antonio, texas, st. louis, gladstone, missouri, and sanibel, florida. the most recent attack in gladstone, missouri, a police officer was shot during a traffic stop overnight. police say that officer and two suspects were shot. one of those suspects has died. the conditions of both the officer and the other suspect are unknown at this time. in texas, a manhunt is under way after a police detective was ambushed and killed. this is a picture of the suspect they're searching for. detectives benjamin marconi was writing a ticket outside another car pulled up from behind, shot him and the driver took off. marconi was a 20-year veteran of the force. in st. louis, the suspect is dead after shooting a police sergeant last night. investigators say the officer was sitting in traffic when a driver pulled up and opened fire. after an hour's long manhunt, the suspect was killed in a shoot-out with officers in downtown st. louis. officials say the wounded officer is in critical condition, but he is expected to survive. and authorities in sanibel, florida, have arrested the

yesterday. officials say the officer was wounded in a drive-by shooting. that incident also happened while the officer was conducting a traffic stop. the officer was taken to the hospital where he was treated an released. in the newsroom, jennifer eagan, 7news "today in new england." >> christa: right now the search is on for a driver who took off after blowing into this home following a police chase. let's head out live to northborough where this all happened. general cuoco is there. and, john, it sounds like the suspects left behind a key clue here in the case. >> john: they did, christa. they left their s.u.v. behind. the impact was so strong this family doesn't get out of their from the door here. as we zoom in, you can see some of the damage. eventually they were able to get out, but they'll be in a hotel for a while. this family that lives here woke up in shock on sunday after that s.u.v. plowed into the two-story home. state police say right before the crash, they were in pursuit with the vehicle. the speeds reaching 80 to 110mph before they backed

>> christa: happening today, the driver accused of hitting a woman in a crosswalk in chelsea and taking off will be facing a judge. police say 25-year-old arnold hernandez hit a 72-year-old woman friday. this happened at 4th and broadway and the whole thing was caught on camera. police arrested hernandez saturday afternoon. the woman is now recovering. >> kris: brookline police searching for a suspect involved in a hit and run. the elementary school secretary was on her way to work friday morning when a car hit her and someone found kim longmore lying in the street unconscious and called police. now the victim's daughter is asking for help tracking down that driver. >> give me about five more minutes. >> kris: and the coast guard making a dramatic rescue after a bet started taking on water five miles off the coast of new bedford. crews raced to rescue six people from that fishing boat on sunday. workers with a towboat also helped out. no one was hurt. >> christa: hundreds of people protesting the trump transition

[chanting] this was the scene in new york city with angry demonstrators taking to the streets to protest the president-elect's selection of steve bannon as chief strategist. they marched outside a gala he attended. this all comes as trump continues to have more meetings to fill the rest of the vacancies in his new administration, his cabinet. over the weekend he met with some familiar faces, including former new york city mayor rudy giuliani and new jersey governor chris christie. trump also met with former massachusetts governor mitt romney, who is a potential toys 'r us pulling one of its tonka trucks from store shelves after a report that one burst into flames. grandparents in washington say their grabson's tonka 12b rideon dump truck suddenly caught fire. toy r us says the fire appears to be an isolated incidents. the toy will be removed there the shelves as they investigate what happened.
